یوشع 1

1 خداوند پس از مرگ خدمتگزار خود، موسی، به دستیار او یوشع (پسر نون) فرمود:

2 «خدمتگزار من موسی، در گذشته است، پس تو برخیز و بنی‌اسرائیل را از رود اردن عبور بده و به سرزمینی که به ایشان می‌دهم، برسان.

Moses servant/slave my to die and now to arise: rise to pass [obj] [the] Jordan [the] this you(m. s.) and all [the] people [the] this to(wards) [the] land: country/planet which I to give: give to/for them to/for son: descendant/people Israel

3 همان‌طور که به موسی گفتم، هر جا که قدم بگذارید، آنجا را به تصرف شما در خواهم آورد.

all place which to tread palm: sole foot your in/on/with him to/for you to give: give him like/as as which to speak: promise to(wards) Moses

4 قلمرو سرزمین شما از صحرای نِگِب در جنوب تا کوههای لبنان در شمال، و از دریای مدیترانه در غرب تا رود فرات و سرزمین حیتی‌ها در شرق، خواهد بود.

5 همان‌طور که با موسی بودم با تو نیز خواهم بود تا در تمام عمرت کسی نتواند در برابر تو مقاومت کند. تو را هرگز ترک نمی‌کنم و تنها نمی‌گذارم.

6 پس قوی و شجاع باش، زیرا تو این قوم را رهبری خواهی کرد تا سرزمینی را که به پدران ایشان وعده داده‌ام تصاحب نمایند.

to strengthen: strengthen and to strengthen for you(m. s.) to inherit [obj] [the] people [the] this [obj] [the] land: country/planet which to swear to/for father their to/for to give: give to/for them

7 فقط قوی و شجاع باش و از قوانینی که خدمتگزارم موسی به تو داده است اطاعت نما، زیرا اگر از آنها به دقت پیروی کنی، هر جا روی موفق خواهی شد.

8 این کتاب تورات از تو دور نشود؛ شب و روز آن را بخوان و در گفته‌های آن تفکر کن تا متوجۀ تمام دستورهای آن شده، بتوانی به آنها عمل کنی؛ آنگاه پیروز و کامیاب خواهی شد.

9 آری، قوی و شجاع باش و ترس و واهمه را از خود دور کن و به یاد داشته باش که هر جا بروی من که خداوند، خدای تو هستم، با تو خواهم بود.»

10 آنگاه یوشع به بزرگان اسرائیل دستور داد:

11 «به میان قوم بروید و به آنها بگویید:”توشهٔ خود را آماده کنید، زیرا پس از سه روز از رود اردن خواهید گذشت تا سرزمینی را که خداوند به میراث به شما داده است تصرف کنید!“»

12 سپس یوشع به قبایل رئوبین، جاد و نصف قبیلهٔ مَنَسی گفت:

and to/for Reubenite and to/for Gad and to/for half tribe [the] Manasseh to say Joshua to/for to say

13 «به یاد آورید دستوری را که موسی، خدمتگزار خداوند به شما داد:”خداوند، خدای شما این سرزمین را که در شرق رود اردن است به شما می‌دهد تا در آن آسایش داشته باشید.“

14 پس زنان و فرزندان و حیوانات شما در اینجا در سرزمینی که موسی در شرق اردن به شما داد، می‌مانند. اما مردان جنگی شما باید همگی مسلح شده، پیشاپیش بقیهٔ قبایل به آن طرف رود اردن بروند و ایشان را یاری دهند

woman: wife your child your and livestock your to dwell in/on/with land: country/planet which to give: give to/for you Moses in/on/with side: beyond [the] Jordan and you(m. p.) to pass armed to/for face: before brother: compatriot your all mighty man [the] strength and to help [obj] them

15 تا سرزمینی را که خداوند، خدای شما به ایشان داده است تصاحب کنند و در آن ساکن شوند. آنگاه می‌توانید به این ناحیه‌ای که موسی، خدمتگزار خداوند، در سمت شرقی رود اردن برای شما تعیین کرده است بازگردید و در آن ساکن شوید.»

16 آنها در جواب یوشع گفتند: «آنچه به ما گفتی انجام خواهیم داد و هر جا که ما را بفرستی، خواهیم رفت؛

and to answer [obj] Joshua to/for to say all which to command us to make: do and to(wards) all which to send: depart us to go: went

17 چنانکه فرمانبردار موسی بودیم، تو را نیز اطاعت خواهیم نمود. یهوه، خدای تو با تو باشد، چنانکه با موسی بود.

like/as all which to hear: obey to(wards) Moses so to hear: obey to(wards) you except to be LORD God your with you like/as as which to be with Moses

18 اگر کسی از فرمان تو سرپیچی کند و از تو اطاعت ننماید، کشته خواهد شد. پس قوی و شجاع باش!»
