یوحنا 12
| شش روز پیش از آغاز عید پِسَح، عیسی وارد بیت‌عنیا شد، همان جایی که ایلعازر مرده را زنده کرده بود. | 1 |
Jesus however, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, and whom He raised from the dead.
| یک شب در آن دهکده به افتخار عیسی ضیافتی ترتیب دادند. مارتا پذیرایی می‌کرد و ایلعازر با عیسی بر سر سفره نشسته بود. | 2 |
Therefore they made Him a supper there, and Martha waited at table, but Lazarus was one of them that sat down with Him.
| آنگاه مریم شیشه‌ای از عطر سنبل خالص و گرانبها را برداشته، آن را روی پاهای عیسی ریخت و با گیسوان خود آنها را خشک کرد. خانه از بوی عطر پر شد. | 3 |
And Mary taking a pound of ointment of spikenard of great value, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped them with her hair; and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
| ولی یهودا اسخریوطی که یکی از شاگردان عیسی بود و بعد به او خیانت کرد، گفت: | 4 |
Therefore said one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, who was about to betray Him,
| «چرا این عطر به سیصد سکه نقره فروخته نشد، تا پولش را به فقرا بدهیم؟» | 5 |
Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence and given to the poor?
| البته او در فکر فقرا نبود بلکه در فکر خودش بود، چون مسئول دخل و خرج و نگهداری پول شاگردان بود و اغلب از این پول می‌دزدید. | 6 |
He said this, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the common purse he carried what was put into it.
| عیسی جواب داد: «کاری به کار او نداشته باشید! او با این کار، بدن مرا برای دفن آماده کرد. | 7 |
Jesus therefore said, Let her alone, she hath reserved this as for the day of my burial.
| فقرا همیشه دور و بر شما هستند، ولی مرا همیشه با خود نخواهید داشت.» | 8 |
For the poor ye have always with you, but me ye have not always.
| وقتی یهودیان اورشلیم شنیدند که عیسی به آنجا آمده، دسته‌دسته به دیدن او شتافتند. آنان در ضمن بسیار مایل بودند ایلعازر را نیز که عیسی او را زنده کرده بود، ببینند. | 9 |
And a great number of the Jews understanding that He was there, came not only on account of Jesus, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom He had raised from the dead.
| پس کاهنان اعظم تصمیم گرفتند ایلعازر را هم بکشند، | 10 |
Wherefore the chief priests took counsel to put Lazarus also to death.
| زیرا به خاطر او بعضی از سران قوم یهود نیز ایمان آورده بودند که عیسی همان مسیح است. | 11 |
Because on his account many of the Jews went away from them, and believed on Jesus.
| روز بعد، در تمام شهر خبر پیچید که عیسی به اورشلیم می‌آید. پس، جمعیت انبوهی که برای مراسم عید آمده بودند، | 12 |
The next day a great multitude that were come to the feast, hearing that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm-trees,
| با شاخه‌های نخل به پیشواز او رفتند، در حالی که فریاد می‌زدند: «هوشیعانا!» «مبارک است آن که به نام خداوند می‌آید!» «مبارک است پادشاه اسرائیل!» | 13 |
and went out to meet Him, and cried, Hosanna! blessed be the king of Israel, who cometh in the name of the Lord.
| عیسی نیز کرّه الاغی یافت و بر آن سوار شد، همان‌گونه که نوشته شده است: | 14 |
And Jesus having gotten a young ass sat thereon,
| «نترس، ای دختر صهیون، اینک پادشاه تو می‌آید، سوار بر کرّهٔ الاغی!» | 15 |
as it is written, "Fear not, O daughter of Sion, behold thy king cometh sitting on an ass's colt."
| شاگردان او در آن زمان متوجه این پیشگویی نشدند، ولی بعد از این که عیسی به جلال خود در آسمان بازگشت، پی بردند که تمام این چیزها قبلاً دربارۀ او نوشته شده بود، و همان‌گونه نیز بر او واقع شده بود. | 16 |
Now his disciples did not understand these things at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written concerning Him, and that they had done thus unto Him.
| در بین جمعیت، کسانی که زنده شدن ایلعازر را به چشم خود دیده بودند، آن را برای دیگران تعریف می‌کردند. | 17 |
And the people that were with Him testified, that He called Lazarus out of the grave, and raised him from the dead:
| در واقع به خاطر همین نشانۀ معجزه‌آسا بود که مردم با چنان شور و حرارتی به پیشواز او رفتند. | 18 |
and for this reason the people went to meet Him, because they heard that He had done this miracle.
| فریسی‌ها به یکدیگر گفتند: «دیگر از ما کاری ساخته نیست. ببینید، تمام دنیا به دنبال او رفته‌اند!» | 19 |
The pharisees therefore said among themselves, Do ye not see that ye prevail nothing? Behold, all the world is gone after Him.
| عده‌ای یونانی که برای مراسم عید به اورشلیم آمده بودند، | 20 |
And among those that came up to worship at the feast there were certain Greeks:
| نزد فیلیپ که اهل بیت‌صیدای جلیل بود، رفتند و گفتند: «آقا، ما می‌خواهیم عیسی را ببینیم.» | 21 |
that came to Philip who was of Bethsaida in Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we have a desire to see Jesus.
| فیلیپ این را با آندریاس در میان گذاشت و هر دو رفتند و به عیسی گفتند. | 22 |
And Philip cometh and telleth Andrew, and then Andrew and Philip told Jesus.
| عیسی جواب داد: «وقت آن رسیده است که پسر انسان به جلالی که در آسمان داشت بازگردد. | 23 |
And Jesus answered them saying, The time is come that the Son of man is to be glorified.
| این که می‌گویم عین حقیقت است: اگر دانهٔ گندم در خاک نیفتد و نمیرد، تنها می‌ماند؛ اما اگر بمیرد دانه‌های تازۀ بسیاری تولید می‌کند. | 24 |
Though I tell you indeed and in truth, Except a grain of wheat fall into the ground and die, it remaineth alone; but if it die, it produceth much fruit.
| اگر کسی جان خود را دوست بدارد، آن را از دست خواهد داد. اما کسی که در این جهان از جان خود بگذرد، آن را برای حیات جاویدان حفظ خواهد کرد. (aiōnios g166) | 25 |
So he, that loveth his life, shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, shall preserve it unto life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
| «هر که بخواهد مرا خدمت کند، باید به دنبال من بیاید. و هر جا من باشم، خدمتگزارم نیز باید باشد. و پدر، هر کسی را که به من خدمت کند، تکریم خواهد کرد. | 26 |
If any man would serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: and if any one serve me, him will my Father honour.
| اکنون جانم آشفته است. آیا باید دعا کنم که:”ای پدر، از آنچه می‌خواهد بر من واقع شود، مرا رهایی ده؟“ولی من برای همین امر به این جهان آمده‌ام! | 27 |
Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I to this hour.
| پس می‌گویم:”ای پدر، نام خود را جلال و سرافرازی ده.“» ناگاه صدایی از آسمان گفت: «جلال دادم و باز جلال خواهم داد.» | 28 |
Father, glorify thy name. Then came a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
| وقتی مردم این صدا را شنیدند، بعضی گمان بردند که صدای رعد بود و بعضی دیگر گفتند: «فرشته‌ای با او سخن گفت.» | 29 |
The people therefore that stood by, and heard it, said, That it was thunder: but others said, it was an angel spake to Him.
| ولی عیسی فرمود: «این صدا برای شما بود، نه برای من. | 30 |
Jesus answered and said, This voice came not for my sake, but for yours.
| چون وقت آن رسیده است که خدا مردم دنیا را داوری کند و فرمانروای این دنیا، یعنی شیطان را از قدرت بیندازد. | 31 |
Now is the judgement of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
| وقتی مرا از زمین بلند کردید، همه را به سوی خود جذب خواهم کرد.» | 32 |
And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, shall draw all men unto me.
| عیسی با این گفته، به نوع مرگ خود بر صلیب اشاره کرد. | 33 |
This He said, signifying what death He should die.
| مردم پرسیدند: «تو از مرگ سخن می‌گویی؟ تا جایی که ما می‌دانیم مسیح باید همیشه زنده بماند و هرگز نمیرد. پس چرا تو می‌گویی که مسیح باید بمیرد؟ اصلاً دربارهٔ که صحبت می‌کنی؟» (aiōn g165) | 34 |
The people answered Him, We have heard out of the law, that the Messiah abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, the Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? (aiōn g165)
| عیسی جواب داد: «نور من فقط تا مدتی کوتاه بر شما خواهد تابید؛ پس تا فرصت هست، در نور راه بروید، تا تاریکی بر شما چیره نشود. آنان که در تاریکی راه می‌روند، نمی‌توانند ببینند به کجا می‌روند. | 35 |
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while the light is to be with you; walk while ye have the light, least darkness overtake you; for he that walketh in the dark knoweth not whither he goeth.
| تا دیر نشده، به نور ایمان آورید تا نورانی شوید.» آنگاه عیسی رفت و خود را از چشم مردم پنهان کرد. | 36 |
While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and then went away, and concealed himself from them.
| با وجود تمام معجزاتی که عیسی کرد، بسیاری از مردم ایمان نیاوردند که او همان مسیح است. | 37 |
But though He had done so many miracles before their eyes, yet they did not believe on Him:
| این درست همان است که اشعیای نبی پیشگویی کرده بود که: «خداوندا، چه کسی پیام ما را باور کرده، و بازوی توانای خداوند بر چه کسی آشکار شده است؟» | 38 |
so that the word of Esaias the prophet was fulfilled, which he spake, saying, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
| البته ایشان نتوانستند ایمان بیاورند، چون همان‌طور که اشعیا گفته بود: | 39 |
And therefore they could not believe; for Esaias had also said,
| «خدا چشمانشان را کور و دلهایشان را سخت کرده است، تا با چشمانشان نبینند و با دلهایشان نفهمند و به سوی خدا باز نگردند تا شفایشان دهد.» | 40 |
He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they might not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
| اشعیا به این دلیل این را گفت که جلال او را دید و دربارۀ او سخن گفت. | 41 |
These things said Esaias when he saw his glory, and spake concerning Him.
| با این همه، بعضی از سران قوم یهود ایمان آوردند که او همان مسیح است، ولی به کسی نگفتند چون می‌ترسیدند فریسیان از کنیسه بیرونشان کنند. | 42 |
There were however many of the chief rulers that believed on Him; but because of the pharisees they did not confess it, lest they should be excommunicated.
| در واقع چیزی که برای این اشخاص اهمیت داشت، جلب نظر و احترام مردم بود نه جلب رضای خدا. | 43 |
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
| پس عیسی با صدای بلند به مردم فرمود: «هر که به من ایمان بیاورد، نه فقط به من، بلکه به کسی نیز ایمان آورده که مرا فرستاده است. | 44 |
And Jesus raised his voice, and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me only, but on Him that sent me:
| چون آن که مرا دید، گویی فرستندۀ مرا دیده است. | 45 |
and he that beholdeth me, beholdeth Him that sent me.
| من مثل نوری آمده‌ام تا در این دنیای تاریک بدرخشم تا تمام کسانی که به من ایمان می‌آورند، در تاریکی سرگردان نشوند. | 46 |
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me, might not abide in darkness.
| اگر کسی صدای مرا بشنود ولی اطاعت نکند، من از او بازخواست نخواهم کرد، زیرا من نه برای بازخواست بلکه برای نجات جهان آمده‌ام. | 47 |
And if any one hear my words and believe not, I do not condemn him: for I am not now come to condemn the world, but to save the world.
| ولی تمام کسانی که مرا و سخنان مرا نمی‌پذیرند، در روز قیامت به‌وسیلهٔ کلام من از ایشان بازخواست خواهد شد. | 48 |
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word, that I have spoken, will condemn him at the last day.
| این سخنان از من نیست، بلکه من آنچه را که پدرم خدا گفته است، به شما می‌گویم؛ | 49 |
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father, who sent me, gave me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak.
