اشعیا 5

1 اینک سرودی دربارهٔ محبوب خود و تاکستانش می‌سرایم: محبوب من تاکستانی بر تپه‌ای حاصلخیز داشت.

Let me sing a song for my love, about his vineyard. My love owned a vineyard on a productive hill.

2 او زمینش را کند و سنگهایش را دور ریخت، و بهترین درختان مو را در آن کاشت. درون آن برج دیدبانی ساخت، چرخشتی نیز در آن کند. چشم انتظار انگور نشست، اما تاکستانش انگور ترش آورد.

He dug it over, cleared the ground of stones, and planted it with the very best vines. In the middle of it he built a watchtower, and he also cut out a winepress from the rock. Then he waited for a good harvest of grapes, but it only produced wild, sour grapes.

3 اکنون محبوب من می‌گوید: «ای اهالی اورشلیم و یهودا، شما در میان من و تاکستانم حکم کنید!

“Now, you people who live in Jerusalem and Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.

4 دیگر چه می‌بایست برای تاکستان خود می‌کردم که نکردم؟ پس چرا وقتی منتظر انگور شیرین بودم، انگور ترش آورد؟

What more could I have done for my vineyard than I've already done? When I looked for sweet grapes, why did it only produce sour ones?

5 حال به شما می‌گویم با تاکستان خود چه خواهم کرد. من دیواری را که دورش کشیده‌ام، خراب خواهم کرد تا به چراگاه تبدیل شود و زیر پای حیوانات پایمال گردد.

So let me tell you what I'm going to do to my vineyard. I'll remove its hedge, and it will be destroyed. I'll tear down its wall, and it will be trampled underfoot.

6 تاکستانم را دیگر هرس نخواهم کرد و زمینش را دیگر نخواهم کند. آن را وا می‌گذارم تا در آن خار و خس بروید و به ابرها دستور می‌دهم که دیگر بر آن نبارند.»

I'll turn it into a wasteland. It won't be pruned or weeded—it will be overgrown with brambles and thorns. I'll order the clouds not to rain on it.”

7 داستان تاکستان، داستان قوم خداوند لشکرهای آسمان است. بنی‌اسرائیل همان تاکستان هستند و مردم یهودا نهالهایی که خداوند با خشنودی در تاکستان خود نشاند. او از قوم خود انتظار انصاف داشت، ولی ایشان بر مردم ظلم و ستم روا داشتند. او انتظار عدالت داشت، اما فریاد مظلومان به گوشش می‌رسید.

Israel is the vineyard of the Lord Almighty, and the people of Judah are the plants in his garden that made him happy. Yet while he hoped for justice, he only saw injustice; he hoped people would live right, but he only heard the cries of those who were suffering.

8 وای بر شما که دائم خانه و مزرعه می‌خرید تا دیگر جایی برای دیگران نماند و خود به تنهایی در سرزمینتان ساکن شوید.

Tragedy is coming to you who buy house upon house and field upon field, joining them all together until no one else has anywhere to live and you live alone in the land.

9 خداوند لشکرهای آسمان به من فرمود که این خانه‌های بزرگ و زیبا ویران و خالی از سکنه خواهند شد.

I heard the Lord Almighty declare: You can be sure that many houses are destined to become ruins, and beautiful mansions destined to become uninhabited.

10 از ده جریب تاکستان، یک بشکه شراب نیز به دست نخواهد آمد و ده من دانه، حتی یک من غله نیز نخواهد داد!

Ten acres of vineyard will only produce a six gallons of wine, and a measure of seed only a tenth of that in grain.

11 وای بر شما که صبح زود بلند می‌شوید و تا نیمه‌شب به عیش و نوش می‌پردازید.

Tragedy is coming to you who get up early in the morning wanting a drink, and who stay up late drinking wine until you're drunk.

12 با بربط و چنگ، دف و نی و شراب محفل خود را گرم می‌کنید، اما به کارهای خداوند نمی‌اندیشید.

At their feasts you have lyres and harps, tambourines and flutes, and wine, but you don't ever consider what the Lord is doing, and you don't recognize his help.

13 بنابراین، ای قوم من، به خاطر این نابخردی به سرزمینهای دور دست تبعید خواهید شد. رهبرانتان از گرسنگی و مردم عادی از تشنگی خواهند مرد.

As a result my people will be exiled for their lack of understanding. Their honored leaders will starve, and the crowds will be dying of thirst.

14 دنیای مردگان با ولع زیاد دهان خود را باز کرده، تا آنها را به کام خود فرو برد. بزرگان و اشراف‌زادگان اورشلیم همراه مردم عادی که شادی می‌کنند، همگی طعمهٔ مرگ خواهند شد. (Sheol h7585)

The grave's appetite increases, its mouth opens wide, and Jerusalem's nobility and the masses will go down into it, along with the rowdy, drunken mobs. (Sheol h7585)

15 در آن روز، متکبران پست خواهند شد و همه خوار و ذلیل خواهند گردید،

Everyone will be brought down, everyone will be humbled; the proud will lower their eyes in humiliation.

16 اما خداوند لشکرهای آسمان برتر از همه خواهد بود، زیرا فقط او مقدّس، عادل و نیکوست.

But the Lord Almighty will be vindicated because he does what is right; the holy God will be shown to be holy because of his goodness.

17 در آن روزها، حیوانات در میان ویرانه‌های دولتمندان اورشلیم خواهند چرید؛ آنجا چراگاه بره‌ها و گوساله‌ها و بزها خواهد شد.

Lambs will graze as in their own pasture; fattened livestock and goats will feed among the ruins of the rich.

18 وای بر آنانی که مثل حیوانی که به گاری بسته شده باشد، گناهانشان را با طناب به دنبال خود می‌کشند،

Tragedy is coming to you who pull along your sins behind you with iniquity with cords made of lies, and pulling with ropes a cartful of wickedness.

19 و با تمسخر می‌گویند: «ای خدا، زود باش ما را تنبیه کن! می‌خواهیم ببینیم چه کاری از دستت برمی‌آید!»

You are among the people who say, “God should hurry up! Why doesn't God get a move on with what he's doing so we can see it? Why doesn't the Holy One of Israel execute his plan? Let's see it happen so we can understand what it is!”

20 وای بر شما که خوب را بد و بد را خوب می‌دانید؛ تاریکی را به جای نور و نور را به جای تاریکی می‌گذارید، تلخی را شیرینی و شیرینی را تلخی می‌خوانید.

Tragedy is coming to you who say evil is good, and good is evil; who turn darkness into light and light into darkness; who make bitter sweet, and sweet bitter.

21 وای بر شما که خود را دانا می‌پندارید و به نظر خود عاقل می‌نمایید؛

Tragedy is coming to you who are wise in your own eyes and think you're so clever.

22 وای بر شما که استادید اما نه در اجرای عدالت، بلکه در شرابخواری و میگساری!

Tragedy is coming to you who are wine-drinking champions, and experts at mixing alcoholic drinks;

23 از بدکاران رشوه می‌گیرید و آنان را تبرئه می‌کنید و حق نیکوکاران را پایمال می‌نمایید.

you who set the guilty free for a bribe, and yet deny justice to the innocent.

24 بنابراین مانند کاه و علف خشک که در آتش می‌افتد و می‌سوزد، ریشه‌هایتان خواهد گندید و شکوفه‌هایتان خشک خواهد شد، زیرا قوانین خداوند لشکرهای آسمان را دور انداخته، کلام خدای مقدّس اسرائیل را خوار شمرده‌اید.

In the same way fire burns up stubble and dry grass falls down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers disintegrate into dust. For they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty, and have treated with contempt what the Holy One of Israel has said.

25 خداوند بر قوم خود خشمناک است و دست خود را دراز کرده تا ایشان را مجازات کند. تپه‌ها به لرزه در می‌آیند، و لاشه‌های مردم مثل زباله در خیابانها انداخته می‌شوند. با وجود این، خشم و غضب او پایان نمی‌یابد و او دست از مجازات ایشان برنمی‌دارد.

That's why the Lord burns with anger against his people. He has lifted up his hand and hit them, shaking the mountains, and leaving their corpses lying like refuse in the streets. Despite all this, his anger is not finished, and his hand is still lifted up.

26 خداوند قومهایی را از دور دست فرا خواهد خواند تا به اورشلیم بیایند. آنها به سرعت خواهند آمد

He will send a signal to the distant nations, and will whistle for those living at the ends of the earth. See how quickly they respond, how speedily they come!

27 و در راه خسته نخواهند شد و پایشان نخواهد لغزید و توقف نخواهند کرد. کمربندها و بند کفشهایشان باز نخواهند شد. خواهند دوید بدون آنکه استراحت کنند یا بخوابند.

None of them gets tired or stumbles; none of them rests or sleeps. No belt comes loose, and no sandal strap breaks.

28 تیرهایشان تیز و کمانهایشان خمیده است. سم اسبهای ایشان مانند سنگ خارا محکم است و چرخهای ارابه‌هایشان مثل گردباد می‌چرخند.

Their arrows are already sharpened, and all their bows have been strung. The hooves of their horses are hard as flint; their chariot wheels spin like a whirlwind.

29 ایشان چون شیر می‌غرند و بر سر شکار فرود می‌آیند و آن را با خود به جایی می‌برند که کسی نتواند از چنگشان نجات دهد.

They roar like lions, like young lions. They growl, and pounce on their prey. They drag it off so it can't be rescued.

30 در آن روز، آنها مانند دریای خروشان بر سر قوم من خواهند غرید و تاریکی و اندوه سراسر اسرائیل را فرا خواهد گرفت و آسمان آن تیره خواهد شد.

At that time they will roar over their prey like the roaring of the sea. Anyone who looks out over the land will see only darkness and distress—even the sunlight will be darkened by clouds.
