اشعیا 32

1 زمانی خواهد رسید که پادشاهی عادل بر تخت سلطنت خواهد نشست و رهبرانی با انصاف مملکت را اداره خواهند کرد.

Lo! the kyng schal regne in riytfulnesse, and princes schulen be souereyns in doom.

2 هر یک از آنان پناهگاهی در برابر باد و طوفان خواهد بود. آنان مانند جوی آب در بیابان خشک، و مثل سایهٔ خنک یک صخرهٔ بزرگ در زمین بی‌آب و علف خواهند بود؛

And a man schal be, as he that is hid fro wynd, and hidith hym silf fro tempest; as stremes of watris in thirst, and the schadewe of a stoon stondynge fer out in a desert lond.

3 و چشم و گوش خود را نسبت به نیازهای مردم باز نگه خواهند داشت.

The iyen of profetis schulen not dasewe, and the eeris of heereris schulen herke diligentli;

4 آنان بی‌حوصله نخواهند بود بلکه با فهم و متانت با مردم سخن خواهند گفت.

and the herte of foolis schal vndurstonde kunnyng, and the tunge of stuttynge men schal speke swiftli, and pleynli.

5 در آن زمان، افراد پست و خسیس دیگر سخاوتمند و نجیب خوانده نخواهند شد.

He that is vnwijs, schal no more be clepid prince, and a gileful man schal not be clepid the grettere.

6 هر که شخص بدکاری را ببیند، او را خواهد شناخت و کسی فریب آدمهای ریاکار را نخواهد خورد؛ بر همه آشکار خواهد شد که سخنان آنان در مورد خداوند دروغ بوده و آنان هرگز به گرسنگان کمک نکرده‌اند.

Forsothe a fool shal speke foli thingis, and his herte schal do wickidnesse, that he performe feynyng, and speke to the Lord gilefuli; and he schal make voide the soule of an hungry man, and schal take awei drynke fro a thirsti man.

7 نیرنگ و چاپلوسی اشخاص شرور و دروغهایی که آنان برای پایمال کردن حق فقیران در دادگاه می‌گویند، افشا خواهد گردید.

The vessels of a gileful man ben worste; for he schal make redi thouytis to leese mylde men in the word of a leesyng, whanne a pore man spak doom.

8 اما اشخاص خوب در حق دیگران بخشنده و باگذشت خواهند بود و خدا ایشان را به خاطر کارهای خوبشان برکت خواهد داد.

Forsothe a prince schal thenke tho thingis that ben worthi to a prince, and he schal stonde ouer duykis.

9 ای زنانی که راحت و آسوده زندگی می‌کنید، به من گوش دهید.

Riche wymmen, rise ye, and here my vois; douytris tristynge, perseyue ye with eeris my speche.

10 شما که الان بی‌غم هستید، سال دیگر همین موقع پریشانحال خواهید شد، زیرا محصول انگور و سایر میوه‌هایتان از بین خواهد رفت.

For whi aftir daies and a yeer, and ye that tristen schulen be disturblid; for whi vyndage is endid, gaderyng schal no more come.

11 ای زنان آسوده خیال، بترسید و بلرزید، لباسهای خود را از تن درآورید و رخت عزا بپوشید

Ye riche wymmen, be astonyed; ye that tristen, be disturblid; vnclothe ye you, and be ye aschamed;

12 و ماتم بگیرید، زیرا مزرعه‌های پر محصولتان به‌زودی از دست می‌روند و باغهای بارور انگورتان نابود می‌شوند.

girde youre leendis; weile ye on brestis, on desirable cuntrei, on the plenteuouse vyner.

13 بله، ای قوم من، برای خانه‌های شادتان و برای شهر پر افتخارتان گریه کنید، زیرا سرزمین شما پوشیده از خار و خس خواهد شد.

Thornes and breris schulen stie on the erthe of my puple; hou myche more on alle the housis of ioie of the citee makynge ful out ioie?

14 کاخهایتان ویران و شهرهای پر جمعیت‌تان خالی از سکنه خواهند شد. برجهای دیدبانی‌تان خراب خواهند شد و حیوانات وحشی و گورخران و گوسفندان در آنجا خواهند چرید.

15 اما یک بار دیگر، خدا روح خود را از آسمان بر ما خواهد ریخت. آنگاه بیابان به بوستان تبدیل خواهد شد و بوستان به جنگل.

til the spirit be sched out on us fro an hiy, and the desert schal be in to Chermel, and Chermel schal be arettid in to a forest.

16 انصاف بر بیابان حکفرما خواهد شد و عدالت بر بوستان.

And doom schal dwelle in wildirnesse, and riytfulnesse schal sitte in Chermel;

17 و ما از صلح و آرامش و اطمینان و امینت همیشگی برخوردار خواهیم شد.

and the werk of riytfulnesse schal be pees, and the tilthe of riytfulnesse schal be stilnesse and sikirnesse, `til in to with outen ende.

18 قوم خدا در کمال امنیت و آسایش در خانه‌هایشان زندگی خواهند کرد.

And my puple schal sitte in the fairnesse of pees, and in the tabernaclis of trist, and in riche reste.

19 حتی جنگل از بارش تگرگ صاف خواهد شد و شهر با خاک یکسان خواهد گردید.

But hail schal be in the coming doun of the foreste, and bi lownesse the citee schal be maad low.

20 بله، خدا قوم خود را برکت خواهد داد آن گونه که به هنگام کشت زمین، محصول فراوان خواهد رویید و گله‌ها و رمه‌هایشان در چراگاههای سبز و خرم خواهند چرید.

Blessid ben ye, that sowen on alle watris, and putten yn the foot of an oxe and of an asse.
