اشعیا 13
| این است پیامی که اشعیا پسر آموص دربارهٔ بابِل از خدا دریافت کرد: | 1 |
The oracle on Babylon, —of which Isaiah, son of Amoz had vision: —
| پرچم جنگ را بر تپه‌ای بلند برافرازید و سربازان را فرا خوانید و دروازه‌های مجلل بابِل را به آنها نشان دهید تا به سوی آنها یورش برند. | 2 |
Upon a bare mountain, lift ye up a standard, Raise high the voice to them, Wave the hand, That they may enter the doors of nobles.
| من این سربازان را آماده کرده‌ام، و جنگاورانم را فرا خوانده‌ام تا خشم خود را جاری سازم، و آنها بر پیروزی من شادی خواهند کرد. | 3 |
I myself, have given charge to my hallowed ones, —Yea I have called My heroes in showing mine anger, My proudly exulting ones.
| صدایی در کوهها به گوش می‌رسد! این صدا، صدای جمع شدن قومهای جهان است. خداوند لشکرهای آسمان آنها را برای جنگ آماده می‌کند. | 4 |
The noise of a multitude in the mountains, A resemblance of many people, —The noise of a tumult of kingdoms Nations gathered together, Yahweh of hosts, mustering a host for battle!
| آنها از سرزمینهای بسیار دور می‌آیند، ایشان همچون اسلحه‌ای در دست خداوند هستند تا توسط آنها تمامی خاک بابِل را ویران کند و غضب خود را فرو نشاند. | 5 |
They are coming in From a land far away. From the utmost bound of the heavens, —Yahweh—with his weapons of indignation, To destroy the land.
| ناله کنید، زیرا روز خداوند نزدیک است روزی که خدای قادر مطلق شما را هلاک کند. | 6 |
Howl ye! for at hand is the day of Yahweh, —As a veritable destruction from the Almighty, shall it come.
| در آن روز، دستهای همه از ترس سست خواهد شد و دلها آب خواهد گردید. | 7 |
For this cause—All hands, shall hang down, —and Every mortal heart, melt.
| همه هراسان خواهند شد و دردی شدید مانند درد زنی که می‌زاید وجودشان را فرا خواهد گرفت. بر یکدیگر نظر خواهند افکند و از دیدن صورتهای دگرگون شدهٔ یکدیگر به وحشت خواهند افتاد. | 8 |
And they shall be in distress—Writhings and pains, shall lay hold, As a woman in childbirth, shall they be in pangs, —Everyone, at his neighbour, shall look in amazement, Faces of flames, their faces!
| اینک روز هولناک خشم و غضب خداوند فرا می‌رسد! زمین ویران خواهد شد و گناهکاران هلاک خواهند گردید. | 9 |
Lo! the day of Yahweh, coming in, Fierce and overflowing, and burning with anger, —To devote the earth to desolation, And her sinners, will he destroy out of it.
| آسمان بالای سرشان تاریک خواهد شد و ستارگان نور نخواهند داشت، خورشید هنگام طلوع تاریک خواهد شد و ماه روشنایی نخواهد بخشید. | 10 |
For the stars of the heavens and their constellations, shall not flash forth their light, —Obscured shall be the sun in his going forth, And the moon, shall not shed her light.
| خداوند می‌فرماید: «من دنیا را به خاطر شرارتش، و بدکاران را به سبب گناهانشان مجازات خواهم کرد. تمام متکبران را خوار خواهم ساخت و همهٔ ستمگران را پست خواهم کرد. | 11 |
And I will visit, upon the inhabited earth, calamity!, And upon the lawless, their punishment, And will quiet the arrogance of the proud, And the loftiness of tyrants, will I lay low.
| مردمان را کمیاب‌تر از طلای خالص و طلای اوفیر خواهم ساخت. | 12 |
I will cause, a man, to be more precious than fine gold, —Even a son of earth than, the finest gold of Ophir.
| من، خداوند لشکرهای آسمان، در روز خشم طوفانی خود، آسمانها را خواهم لرزاند و زمین را از جای خود تکان خواهم داد. | 13 |
For this cause, the heavens, will I disturb, And, the earth, shall tremble out of her place, —In the wrath of Yahweh of hosts, And in the day of the glow of his anger.
| «بیگانگانی که در بابِل ساکن باشند به سرزمینهای خود خواهند رفت. آنان مانند گله‌ای پراکنده و آهویی که مورد تعقیب شکارچی قرار گرفته باشد به وطن خود فرار خواهند کرد. | 14 |
And it shall be—Like a gazelle that is chased, And like a sheep with none to lift it up, —Each, to his own people, will they turn, And, each, to his own land, will they flee:
| هر که گیر بیفتد با شمشیر یا نیزه کشته خواهد شد. | 15 |
Every one found, shall be thrust through, —And, every one taken, shall fall by the sword;
| اطفال کوچک در برابر چشمان والدینشان به زمین کوبیده خواهند شد؛ خانه‌ها غارت و زنان بی‌عصمت خواهند گردید. | 16 |
And, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, before their eyes, —Plundered shall be, their houses, and their wives ravished.
| «من مادها را که توجهی به طلا و نقره ندارند به ضد بابِلی‌ها برخواهم انگیخت تا بابِلی‌ها نتوانند با پیشکش کردن ثروت خود جان خود را نجات دهند. | 17 |
Behold me! stirring up against them the Medes, —Who of silver, shall take no account, And as for gold, they shall not delight in it;
| سپاهیان مهاجم بر جوانان و کودکان رحم نخواهند کرد و آنها را با تیر و کمان هدف قرار خواهند داد. | 18 |
And, bows, shall dash the young to pieces, —And on the fruit of the womb, will they have no pity, Over children, will their eye throw no shield.
| به این ترتیب، خدا بابِل را که جلال ممالک و زینت فخر کلدانیان است مانند سدوم و عموره با خاک یکسان خواهد کرد. | 19 |
Thus shall Babylon—The most lovely of kingdoms, The majestic beauty of the Chaldees—Become as in the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah.
| بابِل دیگر هرگز آباد و قابل سکونت نخواهد شد. حتی اعراب چادرنشین نیز در آنجا خیمه نخواهند زد و چوپانان گوسفندان خود را در آن مکان نخواهند چرانید. | 20 |
It shall not be dwelt in for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited from generation to generation, —Neither shall encamp there, an Arab, Nor, shepherds, fold their flocks there.
| تنها حیوانات وحشی در آنجا به سر خواهند برد و روباه‌ها در آن محل لانه خواهند کرد. جغدها در خانه‌های آنجا ساکن خواهند شد و بزهای وحشی در آنجا جست و خیز خواهند کرد. | 21 |
Then shall lie down there, wild beasts, And filled shall be their houses with owls, —Then shall inhabit there, the ostrich, And shaggy creatures, shall dance there.
| صدای زوزهٔ گرگها و شغالها از درون کاخهای زیبای بابِل به گوش خواهد رسید. آری، زمان نابودی بابِل نزدیک است!» | 22 |
And jackals shall answer, in their citadels, And wild dogs, in their voluptuous palaces, —And near to come is her time, And, her days, shall not be delayed.
