حِزِقیال 36

1 «ای پسر انسان، به کوههای اسرائیل نبوّت کن و بگو: ای کوههای اسرائیل به پیغام خداوند گوش دهید.

But thou, son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of the Lord.

2 خداوند یهوه چنین می‌فرماید: دشمنانتان به شما اهانت کرده، بلندیهای قدیمی شما را از آن خودشان می‌دانند.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the enemy hath said regarding you, Aha, even the ancient high-places are become ours as a possession:

3 آنها از هر طرف شما را تار و مار کرده، به سرزمینهای مختلف برده‌اند و شما مورد ملامت و تمسخر آنان قرار گرفته‌اید.

Therefore prophesy and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because, even because men have made you desolate, and sought to swallow you up on every side, that ye might become a possession unto the residue of the nations, and ye are taken up as a talk for tongues, and an evil report of the people:

4 پس ای کوههای اسرائیل، به کلام من که خداوند یهوه هستم گوش فرا ده! به کوهها و تپه‌ها، وادیها و دره‌ها، مزارع و شهرهایی که مدتهاست به‌وسیلۀ قومهای خدانشناس همسایهٔ شما ویران شده و مورد تمسخر قرار گرفته‌اند، می‌گویم:

Therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of the Lord Eternal, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal to the mountains, and to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys, to the desolate ruins, and to the cities that are forsaken, which are become a prey and derision to the residue of the nations that are round about:

5 خشم من بر ضد این قومها، بخصوص اَدوم، شعله‌ور شده است، چون زمین مرا با شادی و با اهانت به قوم من، تصرف نمودند.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the nations, and against all Idumea, that have appropriated my land unto themselves as a possession with the joy of all their heart, with derision in their soul, in order to drive it out that it may be for a prey.

6 «پس، ای حِزِقیال، پیشگویی کن و به کوهها و تپه‌ها، به وادیها و دره‌های اسرائیل بگو که خداوند یهوه می‌فرماید: من از اینکه قومهای همجوارتان شما را تحقیر کرده‌اند سخت خشمگین هستم.

Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, In my zealousness and in my fury have I spoken, because ye have borne the reproach of the nations:

7 من خودم به شما قول می‌دهم که این قومها مورد تحقیر قرار خواهند گرفت.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I have indeed lifted up my hand, that the nations who are round about you— these shall bear their shame.

8 ولی بر کوههای اسرائیل درختان دوباره سبز خواهند شد و برای شما که قوم من هستید میوه خواهند آورد و شما به سرزمین خویش باز خواهید گشت.

But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall send forth your boughs, and your fruit shall ye bear for my people Israel, for they are near at hand to come.

9 من همراه شما هستم و وقتی زمین را شیار کرده، در آن بذر بپاشید، شما را برکت خواهم داد.

For, behold, I will be for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and ye shall be sown;

10 در سراسر اسرائیل، جمعیت شما را افزایش می‌دهم و شهرهای ویران شده را بنا نموده، آنها را پر از جمعیت می‌کنم.

And I will multiply upon you men, all the house of Israel— altogether; and the cities shall be inhabited again, and the ruins shall be rebuilt;

11 نه فقط مردم، بلکه گله‌های گاو و گوسفند شما را هم بارور می‌سازم. شهرهای شما مثل گذشته آباد خواهند شد و من شما را بیش از پیش برکت داده، کامیاب خواهم ساخت. آنگاه خواهید دانست که من یهوه هستم.

And I will multiply upon you men and beast, and they shall increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to be inhabited after your old estates, and will do more good unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

12 ای اسرائیل که قوم من هستید، من شما را به سرزمین‌تان باز می‌گردانم تا بار دیگر در آن ساکن شوید. آن سرزمین متعلق به شما خواهد بود و دیگر نخواهم گذاشت فرزندان شما از قحطی بمیرند.»

Yea, I will cause to walk upon you men, even my people Israel, and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be unto them as an inheritance, and thou shalt not any more henceforth cast them out.

13 خداوند یهوه می‌فرماید: «قومهای دیگر به شما طعنه می‌زنند و می‌گویند:”اسرائیل سرزمینی است که ساکنان خود را می‌بلعد و داغ فرزندانشان را بر دل آنها می‌گذارد!“

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast been one that hath ever cast out thy nations:

14 ولی من که خداوند یهوه هستم، می‌گویم که آنها دیگر این سخنان را بر زبان نخواهند آورد، زیرا مرگ و میر در اسرائیل کاهش خواهد یافت.

Therefore shalt thou not devour up men any more, and thy nations shalt thou not cast out any more, saith the Lord Eternal.

15 آن قومها دیگر شما را سرزنش و مسخره نخواهند کرد، چون دیگر سبب لغزش قوم خود نخواهید بود. این را من که خداوند یهوه هستم می‌گویم.»

And I will not let be heard against thee any more the reproach of the nations, and the disgrace of the people shalt thou not bear any more, and thy nations shalt thou not cast out any more, saith the Lord Eternal.

16 پیغام دیگری از جانب خداوند بر من نازل شد:

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

17 «ای پسر انسان، وقتی بنی‌اسرائیل در سرزمین خودشان زندگی می‌کردند، آن را با اعمال زشت خود نجس نمودند. رفتار ایشان در نظر من مثل یک پارچهٔ کثیف و نجس بود.

Son of man, the house of Israel, when they dwelt in their own land, defiled it through their way and through their doings: like the uncleanness of a woman in her separation was their way before me.

18 آن سرزمین را با آدمکشی و بت‌پرستی آلوده ساختند. به این دلیل بود که من خشم خود را بر ایشان فرو ریختم.

And I poured out my fury over them because of the blood that they had shed in the land, and because through their idols they had polluted it;

19 آنان را به سرزمینهای دیگر تبعید کردم و به این طریق ایشان را به سبب تمام اعمال و رفتار بدشان مجازات نمودم.

And I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings did I judge them.

20 اما وقتی در میان سرزمینها پراکنده شدند، باعث بی‌حرمتی نام قدوس من گشتند، زیرا قومهای دیگر دربارهٔ ایشان گفتند:”اینها قوم یهوه هستند که از سرزمین خود رانده شده‌اند.“

And when they were come unto the nations, whither they were gone, they profaned my holy name; because they said of them, These are the people of the Lord, and out of his land are they gone forth.

21 من به فکر نام قدوس خود هستم که شما آن را در بین قومهای دیگر بی‌حرمت کرده‌اید.

But I had pity for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations, whither they were gone.

22 «پس، به قوم اسرائیل بگو من که خداوند یهوه هستم می‌گویم شما را دوباره به سرزمین‌تان باز می‌گردانم، ولی این کار را نه به خاطر شما بلکه به خاطر نام قدوس خود می‌کنم که شما در میان قومها آن را بی‌حرمت نموده‌اید.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Not for your sake do I this, O house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which ye have profaned among the nations, whither ye are gone.

23 عظمت نام خود را که شما آن را در میان قومهای دیگر بی‌حرمت کردید، در میان شما آشکار خواهم ساخت، آنگاه مردم دنیا خواهند دانست که من یهوه هستم.

And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the nations, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord Eternal, when I will be sanctified through you before your eyes.

24 من شما را از میان قومهای دیگر جمع کرده، به سرزمین‌تان باز می‌گردانم.

And I will take you from among the nations, and I will gather you out of all the countries, and I will bring you unto your own land.

25 آنگاه آب پاک بر شما خواهم ریخت تا از بت‌پرستی و تمام گناهان دیگر پاک شوید.

And I will sprinkle upon you clean water, and ye shall be clean: from all your impurities, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 به شما قلبی تازه خواهم داد و روحی تازه در باطن شما خواهم نهاد. دل سنگی و نامطیع را از شما خواهم گرفت و قلبی نرم و مطیع به شما خواهم داد.

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will remove the heart of stone out of your body, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

27 روح خود را در شما خواهم نهاد تا احکام و قوانین مرا اطاعت نمایید.

And my spirit I will put within you, and I will cause that you shall walk in my statutes, and that my ordinances ye shall keep, and do them.

28 «شما در سرزمین اسرائیل که به اجدادتان دادم ساکن خواهید شد. شما قوم من می‌شوید و من خدای شما.

And ye shall dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be unto me for a people, and I truly will be unto you as a God.

29 شما را از همهٔ گناهانتان پاک می‌کنم و غلهٔ فراوان به شما داده، به قحطی پایان می‌دهم.

And I will save you from all kinds of your impurities; and I will call unto the corn, and increase it, and I will not lay famine upon you.

30 میوهٔ درختان و محصول مزارعتان را زیاد می‌کنم تا دیگر به علّت قحطی مورد تمسخر قومهای همجوار قرار نگیرید.

And I will multiply the fruit of the trees, and the products of the field: in order that ye may receive no more reproach on account of famine among the nations.

31 آنگاه گناهان گذشتهٔ خود را به یاد خواهید آورد و برای کارهای زشت و قبیحی که کرده‌اید از خود متنفر و بیزار خواهید شد.

Then shall ye remember your ways that they were evil, and your doings that were not good; and ye shall loathe yourselves on account of your iniquities and on account of your abominations.

32 ولی بدانید که این کارها را به خاطر شما نمی‌کنم. پس ای قوم اسرائیل، از کارهایی که کرده‌اید، خجالت بکشید!»

Not for your sake do I this, saith the Lord Eternal, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded because of your ways, O house of Israel.

33 خداوند یهوه می‌فرماید: «وقتی گناهانتان را پاک سازم، دوباره شما را به وطنتان اسرائیل می‌آورم و ویرانه‌ها را آباد می‌کنم.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, On the day of my cleansing you from all your iniquities, when I cause the cities to be inhabited, and when the ruins are built up,

34 زمینها دوباره شیار خواهند شد و دیگر در نظر رهگذران بایر نخواهند بود؛

And when the desolate land is tilled, instead that it was a waste before the eyes of every passer by:

35 و آنها خواهند گفت:”این زمینی که ویران شده بود، اکنون همچون باغ عدن شده است! شهرهای خراب دوباره بنا گردیده و دورشان حصار کشیده شده و پر از جمعیت گشته‌اند.“

Then shall they say, This land, that was desolate, is become like the garden of 'Eden; and the cities that were ruined, and desolate, and broken down, are become fortified, and inhabited.

36 آنگاه تمام قومهای همجواری که هنوز باقی مانده‌اند، خواهند دانست من که خداوند هستم شهرهای خراب را آباد کرده و در زمینهای متروک محصول فراوان به بار آورده‌ام. من که یهوه هستم این را گفته‌ام و بدان عمل می‌کنم.»

And the nations that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord have built up the broken-down [places], have planted the desolate [land]: I the Lord have spoken this, and have done it.

37 خداوند یهوه می‌فرماید: «من بار دیگر دعاهای قوم اسرائیل را اجابت خواهم کرد و ایشان را مثل گلهٔ گوسفند زیاد خواهم نمود.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Also in this will I yet suffer myself to be entreated of by the house of Israel, to do it for them, I will increase them with men like flocks [in multitude].

38 شهرهای متروکشان از جمعیت مملو خواهد گشت درست مانند روزهای عید که اورشلیم از گوسفندان قربانی، پر می‌شد. آنگاه خواهند دانست که من یهوه هستم.»

As the flocks of the holy things, as the flocks of Jerusalem on her appointed feasts, so shall the ruined cities be full of flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
