عاموس 4
| گوش کنید، ای زنان سامره که مانند گاوهای سرزمین باشان، چاق شده‌اید و بر فقیران ظلم می‌کنید، نیازمندان را پایمال می‌نمایید و به شوهران خود می‌گویید: «شراب بیاورید تا بنوشیم.» | 1 |
Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, that oppress the poor, that crush the needy, that say unto their lords, Bring, and let us drink.
| خداوند به ذات پاک خود قسم خورده و فرموده است: «زمانی می‌رسد که قلاب به دهانتان انداخته همهٔ شما را مثل ماهی خواهند کشید و با خود خواهند برد! | 2 |
The Lord Jehovah hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that they shall take you away with hooks, and your residue with fish-hooks.
| شما را از خانه‌های زیبایتان بیرون می‌کشند و از نزدیکترین شکاف حصار بیرون می‌اندازند.» این است فرمودۀ خداوند. | 3 |
And ye shall go out at the breaches, every one straight before her; and ye shall cast [yourselves] into Harmon, saith Jehovah.
| «حال، اگر می‌خواهید، باز هم در بیت‌ئیل و جلجال برای بتها قربانی کنید! تا می‌توانید سرپیچی نمایید و گناهانتان را زیاد کنید! هر روز صبح قربانی کنید و هفته‌ای دو بار ده‌یک‌هایتان را بیاورید! | 4 |
Come to Beth-el, and transgress; to Gilgal, [and] multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, [and] your tithes every three days;
| به مراسم ظاهری خود ادامه داده، هدایای خود را تقدیم کنید و همه جا از این هدایایی که داده‌اید سخن بگویید! این همان کاریست که شما اسرائیلی‌ها دوست دارید انجام دهید!» این است فرمودۀ خداوند یهوه. | 5 |
and offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim freewill-offerings and publish them: for this pleaseth you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.
| خداوند می‌فرماید: «من به شهرهای شما قحطی فرستادم، ولی فایده‌ای نداشت و باز به سوی من بازگشت نکردید. | 6 |
And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places; yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
| سه ماه به فصل درو مانده بود که جلوی باران را گرفتم و محصول شما را از بین بردم. در یک شهر باران فرستادم و در شهر دیگر نفرستادم! بر یک مزرعه باران می‌بارید، ولی مزرعهٔ دیگر خشک و بی‌آب بود. | 7 |
And I also have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
| مردم شهر به شهر برای نوشیدن جرعه‌ای آب، می‌گشتند اما آبِ کافی پیدا نمی‌کردند. با این حال، به سوی من بازگشت نکردید.» این است فرمودۀ خداوند. | 8 |
So two or three cities wandered unto one city to drink water, and were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
| «آفت بر مزرعه‌ها و تاکستانهای انگور شما فرستادم. ملخ، درختان انجیر و زیتون شما را خورد. با این حال، به سوی من بازگشت نکردید. | 9 |
I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: the multitude of your gardens and your vineyards and your fig-trees and your olive-trees hath the palmer-worm devoured: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
| همان بلاهایی را که بر مصر فرستادم بر سر شما نیز آوردم. جوانان شما را در جنگ کشتم و اسبهای شما را تار و مار کردم. بینی شما از بوی تعفن اجساد اردوگاهتان پر شد. با این حال به سوی من بازگشت نکردید.» این است فرمودۀ خداوند. | 10 |
I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have carried away your horses; and I have made the stench of your camp to come up even into your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
| «بعضی از شهرهای شما را مثل سدوم و عموره به کلی از بین بردم، و آنهایی نیز که باقی ماندند مانند هیزم نیم سوخته‌ای بودند که آنها را از میان آتش بیرون کشیده باشند.» خداوند می‌فرماید: «با این حال، به سوی من بازگشت نکردید. | 11 |
I have overthrown [cities] among you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a brand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
| «بنابراین، تمام بلاهایی را که دربارهٔ آنها سخن گفته‌ام بر سر شما خواهم آورد. پس ای اسرائیل، آماده شو تا هنگام داوری با خدای خود روبرو شوی.» | 12 |
Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel; [and] because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
| زیرا تو با کسی سروکار داری که کوهها را ساخت و بادها را آفرید و تمام افکار انسان را می‌داند. او صبح روشن را تاریک می‌گرداند و کوهها را در زیر پاهایش خرد می‌کند. نام او خداوند، خدای لشکرهای آسمان است. | 13 |
For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought; that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth—Jehovah, the God of hosts, is his name.
