| شخصی نیز بود به نام حنانیا، با همسرش سفیره، که زمینی را فروخت، | 1 |
A certayne man named Ananias with Saphira his wyfe solde a possession
| ولی فقط قسمتی از مبلغ آن را نزد رسولان آورد و ادعا کرد که تمام مبلغ را آورده، و بقیه را برای خود نگاه داشت. زن او نیز از حیلهٔ او باخبر بود. | 2 |
and kepte awaye parte of the pryce (his wyfe also beynge of counsell) and brought a certayne parte and layde it doune at the Apostles fete.
| پطرس گفت: «حنانیا، شیطان قلب تو را از طمع پر کرده است. وقتی گفتی این تمام قیمت زمین است، در واقع به روح‌القدس دروغ گفتی. | 3 |
Then sayde Peter: Ananias how is it that Satan hath filled thyne hert that thou shuldest lye vnto the holy goost and kepe awaye parte of the pryce of the lyvelod:
| زمین مال خودت بود که بفروشی یا نفروشی. بعد از فروش هم دست خودت بود که چقدر بدهی یا ندهی. چرا این کار را کردی؟ تو به ما دروغ نگفتی، بلکه به خدا دروغ گفتی.» | 4 |
Pertayned it not vnto the only and after it was solde was not the pryce in thyne awne power? How is it that thou hast coceaved this thinge in thyne herte? Thou hast not lyed vnto men but vnto God.
| به محض اینکه حنانیا این سخن را شنید، بر زمین افتاد و جابه‌جا مرد! همه وحشت کردند! | 5 |
When Ananias herde these wordes. he fell doune and gave vp the goost. And great feare came on all the that these thinges hearde.
| پس جوانان آمدند، او را در کفن پیچیدند و به خاک سپردند. | 6 |
And the yonge men roose vp and put him a parte and caryed him out and buryed him.
| حدود سه ساعت بعد، همسر او بی‌خبر از مرگ شوهرش آمد. | 7 |
And it fortuned as it were aboute the space of. iii. houres after that his wyfe came in ignoraunt of that which was done.
| پطرس از او پرسید: «آیا شما زمینتان را به همین قیمت فروختید؟» گفت: «بلی، به همین قیمت.» | 8 |
And Peter sayde vnto her: Tell me gave ye the londe for so moche? And she sayde: ye for so moche
| پطرس گفت: «شما چرا با هم همدست شدید تا روح خدا را امتحان کنید؟ جوانانی که شوهرت را بردند و به خاک سپردند، تازه برگشته‌اند. پس تو را نیز خواهند برد.» | 9 |
Then Peter sayde vnto her: why have ye agreed to gether to tept the sprete of the Lorde? Beholde the fete of them which have buryed thy husbande are at the dore and shall cary the out.
| بلافاصله آن زن نیز پیش پاهای پطرس بر زمین افتاد و جان داد. وقتی جوانان رسیدند، دیدند که او هم مرده است. پس، جنازهٔ او را نیز بردند و در کنار شوهرش به خاک سپردند. | 10 |
Then she fell doune strayght waye at his fete and yelded vp the goost. And the yonge men came in and founde her ded and caryed her out and buryed her by her husbande.
| در نتیجه، ترس عظیمی کلیسا و تمام کسانی را که این واقعه را می‌شنیدند فرا گرفت. | 11 |
And great feare came on all the congregacion and on as many as hearde it.
| رسولان نشانه‌های معجزه‌آسا و عجایب بسیاری به‌عمل می‌آوردند. و همۀ مؤمنین به‌طور مرتب برای دعا در معبد، در قسمتی به نام ایوان سلیمان جمع می‌شدند. | 12 |
By the hondes of the Apostles were many signes and wondres shewed amoge the people. And they were all together with one acorde in Salomons porche.
| اما دیگر هیچ‌کس جرأت نمی‌کرد به ایشان ملحق شود، گرچه احترام زیادی برای ایشان قائل بودند. | 13 |
And of other durst no man ioyne him selfe to them: neverthelater the people magnyfied them.
| با این حال، مردان و زنانِ بیشتر و بیشتری به خداوند ایمان می‌آوردند و به او می‌پیوستند. | 14 |
The noumbre of them that beleved in the Lorde bothe of men and wemen grewe moare and moare:
| در نتیجۀ کارِ رسولان، مردم بیماران خود را بر روی تخت و تشک به کوچه‌ها می‌آوردند تا وقتی پطرس از آنجا رد می‌شود، دست‌کم سایهٔ او بر بعضی از ایشان بیفتد! | 15 |
in so moche that they brought the sicke into the strettes and layde them on beddes and palettes that at the lest waye the shadowe of Peter when he came by myght shadowe some of them.
| مردم حتی از اطراف اورشلیم می‌آمدند و دیوزدگان و بیماران خود را می‌آوردند و همه شفا می‌یافتند. | 16 |
There came also a multitude out of ye cities roud about vnto Ierusalem bringynge sicke folkes and them which were vexed with vnclene spretes. And they were healed every one.
| پس، کاهن اعظم و همه دستیارانش که از فرقهٔ صدوقی‌ها بودند، از حسد به جوش آمدند، | 17 |
Then ye chefe preste rose vp and all they that were with him (which is the secte of the Saduces) and were full of indignacion
| و رسولان را گرفتند و به زندان انداختند. | 18 |
and layde hondes on the Apostles and put them in the comen preson.
| ولی همان شب فرشتهٔ خداوند آمده، درهای زندان را باز کرد و آنان را بیرون آورد و به ایشان گفت: | 19 |
But the angell of the Lorde by nyght openned the preson dores and brought them forthe and sayde:
| «بروید و در صحن معبد بایستید و پیام کامل این حیات را به ایشان بیان کنید!» | 20 |
goo steppe forthe and speake in the temple to the people all the wordes of this lyfe.
| پس صبح زود به معبد رفتند و مشغول موعظه شدند! کاهن اعظم و همکارانش به معبد آمدند و از تمام اعضای شورای یهود و مشایخ اسرائیل دعوت کردند تا جلسه‌ای تشکیل دهند. چند نفر را نیز فرستادند تا رسولان را از زندان بیاورند و محاکمه کنند. | 21 |
When they hearde that they entred into the temple erly in the morninge and taught. The chefe prest came and they that were with him and called a counsell to gedder and all the elders of the chyldren of Israel and sent to the preson to fet them.
| اما وقتی مأموران به زندان رفتند، کسی را در آنجا نیافتند. پس بازگشتند و گزارش داده، گفتند: | 22 |
When the ministres came and founde them not in the preson they returned and tolde
| «درهای زندان کاملاً قفل بود، نگهبانان نیز کنار درها نگهبانی می‌دادند. اما وقتی درها را باز کردیم، کسی داخل زندان نبود!» | 23 |
sayinge: the preson founde we shut as sure as was possible and the kepers stondynge with out before ye dores. But whe we had opened we founde no man with in.
| فرماندهٔ نگهبانان و کاهنان اعظم از این خبر گیج و مبهوت شدند و از خود می‌پرسیدند که سرانجامِ این ماجرا چه خواهد شد! | 24 |
When the chefe prest of all and the ruler of the temple and the hye prestes hearde these thinges they douted of them whervnto this wolde growe.
| در همین وقت یک نفر خبر آورد و گفت: «اشخاصی که شما زندانی کرده بودید، در معبد برای مردم موعظه می‌کنند!» | 25 |
Then came one and shewed them: beholde ye men yt ye put in preson stonde in the teple and teache the people.
| فرماندهٔ نگهبانان با افراد خود رفت و ایشان را با احترام به جلسهٔ شورا آوردند، چون می‌ترسیدند که اگر به زور متوسّل شوند، مردم ایشان را سنگسار کنند. | 26 |
Then went the ruler of the teple with ministers and brought the with out violence. For they feared the people lest they shuld have bene stoned.
| پس رسولان را آوردند و ایشان را در برابر شورا حاضر ساختند. آنگاه کاهن اعظم از ایشان پرسید: | 27 |
And when they had brought them they set them before the counsell. And ye chefe preste axed the
| «مگر ما به شما نگفتیم که دیگر هرگز در نام این مرد موعظه نکنید؟ اما شما برخلاف دستور ما، تمام شهر اورشلیم را با سخنان خود پر کرده‌اید و می‌خواهید خون این مرد را به گردن ما بیندازید!» | 28 |
sayinge: dyd not we straytely comaunde you that ye shuld not teache in this name? And beholde ye have filled Ierusalem with youre doctrine and ye intende to brynge this mans bloud vpon vs.
| پطرس و رسولان جواب دادند: «ما دستور خدا را اطاعت می‌کنیم، نه دستور انسان را. | 29 |
Peter and the other Apostles answered and sayde: We ought moare to obey God then men.
| شما عیسی را بر روی صلیب کشتید، اما خدای اجداد ما او را زنده کرد، | 30 |
The God of oure fathers raysed vp Ie Iesus whom ye slewe and hanged on tre.
| و او را به دست راست خود نشانده، سرافراز نمود تا پادشاه و نجات دهنده باشد و قوم اسرائیل فرصت داشته باشند که توبه کنند تا گناهانشان بخشیده شود. | 31 |
Him hath god lifte vp with his right hand to be a ruler and a savioure for to geve repetauce to Israell and forgevenes of synnes.
| حال، ما رسولان، شاهد این واقعه هستیم و روح‌القدس نیز شاهد است، همان روح پاک که خدا او را به مطیعان خود عطا می‌کند.» | 32 |
And we are his recordes concernynge these thinges and also the holy goost whom God hath geve to them yt obey him.
| اعضای شورا از جواب رسولان به خشم آمدند و تصمیم گرفتند که ایشان را نیز بکشند. | 33 |
When they hearde yt they clave asunder: and sought meanes to slee them.
| اما یکی از اعضای شورا به نام غمالائیل، از فرقهٔ فریسیان، که هم در مسائل دینی خبره بود و هم در نظر مردم محترم، برخاست و خواهش کرد که رسولان را چند لحظه بیرون ببرند. | 34 |
Then stode ther vp one in ye counsell a Pharisey named Gamaliel a doctoure of lawe had in auctorite amoge all the people and commaunded to put the Apostles a syde a lytell space
| سپس به همکاران خود گفت: «ای سران قوم اسرائیل، مواظب باشید چه تصمیمی دربارهٔ این اشخاص می‌گیرید. | 35 |
and sayde vnto them: Men of Israel take hede to youre selves what ye entende to do as touchinge these men
| چندی پیش، مردی به نام تئودا که ادعا می‌کرد شخص بزرگی است، نزدیک به چهارصد نفر را با خود همدست ساخت. او کشته شد و پیروانش نیز بی‌سر و صدا تار و مار شدند. | 36 |
Before these dayes rose vp one Theudas bostinge him selfe to whom resorted a nombre of men about a foure hondred which was slayn and they all which beleved him were scatred a broode and brought to nought.
| «پس از او، در زمان سرشماری، شخصی دیگر به نام یهودای جلیلی برخاست و عده‌ای مرید پیدا کرد. ولی او نیز کشته شد و مریدانش پراکنده شدند. | 37 |
After this man arose ther vp one Iudas of Galile in the tyme when tribute began and drewe awaye moche people after him. He also perisshed: and all even as many as harkened to him are scattered a brood.
| «پس به نظر من کاری به کار این اشخاص نداشته باشید. اگر آنچه می‌گویند و می‌کنند از خودشان است، طولی نمی‌کشد که خودبه‌خود از بین خواهد رفت. | 38 |
And now I saye vnto you: refrayne youre selves from these men let them alone. For yf ye cousell or this worke be of men it will come to nought.
| اما اگر از جانب خداست، نمی‌توانید آنها را از میان بردارید. مواظب باشید مبادا با خدا درافتاده باشید.» | 39 |
But and yf it be of God ye can not destroye it lest haply ye be founde to stryve agaynst God.
| اعضای شورا نصیحت او را قبول کردند، و رسولان را آورده، شلّاق زدند و گفتند که دیگر دربارهٔ عیسی با کسی سخن نگویند. سپس ایشان را آزاد کردند. | 40 |
And to him they agreed and called the Apostles and bet them and comaunded that they shuld not speake in ye name of Iesu and let them goo.
| رسولان از آنجا بیرون آمدند و شاد بودند که خدا ایشان را شایسته دانست که به خاطر نام او رنج بکشند و بی‌احترامی ببینند. | 41 |
And they departed from the counsell reioysynge yt they were counted worthy to soffre rebuke for his name.
| از آن پس هر روز در خانه‌ها کلام خدا را تعلیم می‌دادند و در معبد وعظ می‌کردند که عیسی همان مسیح است. | 42 |
And dayly in the teple and in every housse they ceased not teachinge and preachinge Iesus Christ.
