دوم سموئیل 20
| در این وقت مرد آشوبگری به نام شِبَع (پسر بکری بنیامینی) شیپورش را به صدا درآورده، مردم را دور خود جمع کرد و گفت: «ما داوود را نمی‌خواهیم. پسر یسا رهبر ما نیست. ای مردم اسرائیل به خانه‌هایتان بروید.» | 1 |
And there happened to be a worthless man, whose name was Sheba', the son of Bichri, a Benjamite; and he blew the cornet, and said, We have no part in David, nor have we any inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel!
| پس همه، غیر از قبیله یهودا، داوود را ترک گفته، به دنبال شبع رفتند. اما مردان یهودا نزد پادشاه خود ماندند و از اردن تا اورشلیم او را همراهی کردند. | 2 |
So every man of Israel went off from David, following Sheba' the son of Bichri; but the men of Judah adhered unto their king, from the Jordan even to Jerusalem.
| وقتی پادشاه به کاخ خود در اورشلیم رسید، دستور داد آن ده کنیزی را که برای نگهداری کاخ در آنجا گذاشته بود، از دیگران جدا کرده، به خانه‌ای که زیر نظر نگهبانان قرار داشت ببرند و هر چه لازم دارند به ایشان بدهند. ولی داوود دیگر هرگز با آنها همبستر نشد. پس آن ده زن تا آخر عمرشان در انزوا ماندند. | 3 |
And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women, the concubines, whom he had left to guard the house, and put them in a guard-house, and provided for them, but went not in unto them. So they were confined until the day of their death, living in widowhood.
| بعد از آن، پادشاه به عماسا دستور داد که در عرض سه روز سپاه یهودا را آماده سازد تا نزد او حاضر شوند. | 4 |
Then said the king to 'Amassa, Call together for me the men of Judah within three days, and thou present thyself here [then].
| عماسا برای جمع‌آوری سربازان یهودا بیرون رفت، ولی این کار بیش از سه روز طول کشید. | 5 |
So 'Amassa went to call Judah together; but he remained out longer than the set time which he had appointed him.
| پس داوود به ابیشای گفت: «شبع برای ما از ابشالوم خطرناک‌تر خواهد بود. بنابراین تو افراد مرا برداشته، او را تعقیب کن پیش از اینکه وارد شهر حصارداری شده، از دست ما فرار کند.» | 6 |
And David said to Abishai, Now will Sheba' the son of Bichri do us more harm than [did] Abshalom: take thou the servants of thy Lord, and pursue after him, lest he succeed in reaching fortified cities, and withdraw himself from our eyes.
| پس ابیشای با محافظین دربار و یوآب با بهترین سربازان خود از اورشلیم خارج شده، به تعقیب شبع پرداختند. | 7 |
And there went out after him Joab's men, and the Kerethites, and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men: and they went forth out of Jerusalem, to pursue after Sheba' the son of Bichri.
| وقتی آنها به سنگ بزرگی که در جبعون بود رسیدند، عماسا به دیدار آنها رفت. یوآب لباس نظامی پوشیده و خنجری به کمر بسته بود. وقتی پیش می‌آمد تا با عماسا احوالپرسی کند، خنجرش از غلاف به زمین افتاد. | 8 |
They were close by the great stone which is at Gib'on, as 'Amassa came before them. And Joab was girded with his coat, his [usual] garment, and upon it the girdle of the sword which was fastened upon his loins in its sheath; and as he went forth it fell out.
| یوآب به عماسا گفت: «برادر، چطوری؟» این را گفت و با دست راستش ریش عماسا را گرفت تا او را ببوسد. | 9 |
And Joab said to 'Amassa, Art thou in health, my brother? And Joab's right hand took hold of 'Amassa's beard to kiss him.
| عماسا متوجه خنجری که در دست چپ یوآب بود، نشد. یوآب خنجر را به شکم او فرو کرد و روده‌های او بر زمین ریخت. عماسا جابه‌جا مرد به طوری که یوآب لازم ندید ضربهٔ دیگری به او بزند. یوآب و برادرش او را به همان حال واگذاشته، به تعقیب شبع ادامه دادند. | 10 |
And 'Amassa did not guard himself against the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he smote him therewith in the fifth rib and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. But Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba' the son of Bichri.
| یکی از سرداران یوآب، به سربازان عماسا گفت: «اگر طرفدار داوود هستید، بیایید و به یوآب ملحق شوید.» | 11 |
And one man of Joab's people remained standing by him, and said, He that favoreth Joab, and he that is for David, follow Joab.
| عماسا در وسط راه غرق در خون افتاده بود. آن سردار وقتی دید عدهٔ زیادی دور جنازهٔ عماسا حلقه زده‌اند و به آن خیره شده‌اند، جسد را از میان راه برداشت و آن را به صحرا برد و پوششی بر آن انداخت. | 12 |
And 'Amassa was wallowing in his blood in the midst of the highway. And when the man saw that all the people stood still, he put 'Amassa aside out of the highway into the field, and threw a garment over him, when he saw that every one that came by him stood still.
| وقتی جنازهٔ عماسا برداشته شد، همه به دنبال یوآب رفتند تا شبع را تعقیب کنند. | 13 |
When he was removed out of the highway, every man passed on after Joab, to pursue after Sheba' the son of Bichri.
| در این میان شبع به نزد تمام قبایل اسرائیل رفت. هنگامی که به شهر آبل واقع در بیت‌معکه رسید، همهٔ افراد طایفهٔ بکری دور او جمع شدند. | 14 |
And this one passed through all the tribes of Israel unto Abel, which is of Beth-ma'achah, and all the Berim: and they assembled themselves together, and went also after him.
| نیروهای یوآب نیز به آبل رسیدند و آن شهر را محاصره کردند و در برابر حصار شهر، سنگرهای بلند ساخته، به تخریب حصار پرداختند. | 15 |
And they came and besieged him in Abel of Beth-ma'achah, and they cast up a trench against the city, and it stood enclosed by the troops: and all the people that were with Joab were battering to throw down the wall.
| در آن شهر زن حکیمی زندگی می‌کرد. او از داخل شهر فریاد زد: «گوش کنید! گوش کنید! به یوآب بگویید به اینجا بیاید تا با او حرف بزنم.» | 16 |
Then called a wise woman out of the city, Hear, hear: say, I pray you, unto Joab, Come near as far as hither, that I may speak with thee.
| وقتی یوآب به آن زن نزدیک شد، زن پرسید: «آیا تو یوآب هستی؟» گفت: «بله.» زن گفت: «به حرفهای کنیزت گوش بده.» گفت: «بگو، گوش می‌دهم.» | 17 |
And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Art thou Joab? And he said, I am. Then said she unto him, Hear the words of thy hand-maid. And he said, I do hear.
| زن گفت: «از قدیم گفته‌اند: اگر مشکلی دارید به آبل بروید و جوابتان را بگیرید. چون ما همیشه با پندهای حکیمانهٔ خود، مشکل مردم را حل می‌کنیم. | 18 |
Then said she, thus, They ought surely first to have spoken, saying, “Let them ask at least in Abel:” and so would they have come to an end.
| شما می‌خواهید شهر ما را که در اسرائیل شهری قدیمی و صلح‌جو و وفادار است خراب کنید. آیا انصاف است شهری که به خداوند تعلق دارد خراب شود؟» | 19 |
I am one of the peaceful and faithful [cities] in Israel; thou seekest to overthrow a city and a metropolis in Israel: why wilt thou destroy the inheritance of the Lord?
| یوآب پاسخ داد: «نه، اینطور نیست. | 20 |
And Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should destroy or ruin.
| من فقط به دنبال شبع هستم. او از اهالی کوهستان افرایم است و بر ضد داوود پادشاه شورش نموده است. اگر او را به من تسلیم کنید شهر را ترک خواهیم کرد.» زن گفت: «بسیار خوب، ما سر او را از روی حصار جلوی تو می‌اندازیم.» | 21 |
The matter is not so; but a man from the mountains of Ephraim, Sheba' the son of Bichri is his name, hath lifted up his hand against the king, against David: give him up alone, and I will withdraw from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be cast down to thee over the wall.
| بعد آن زن پیش اهالی شهر رفت و نقشهٔ خود را با آنان در میان گذاشت. آنها نیز سر شبع را از تنش جدا کردند و پیش پای یوآب انداختند. یوآب شیپور زد و سربازانش را از حمله به شهر بازداشت. سپس ایشان به اورشلیم نزد پادشاه بازگشتند. | 22 |
And the woman came unto all the people with her wisdom; and they cut off the head of Sheba' the son of Bichri, and cast it down to Joab: and he blew the cornet, and they scattered themselves from the city, every man to his tents. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king.
| یوآب فرماندهٔ سپاه اسرائیل بود و بنایا پسر یهویاداع، فرماندهٔ محافظین دربار، | 23 |
Now Joab was over all the army of Israel; and Benayah the son of Yehoyada' was over the Kerethites and over the Pelethites;
| ادونیرام سرپرست کارهای اجباری، و یهوشافاط وقایع‌نگار بود. | 24 |
And Adoram was over the tribute; and Jehoshaphat the son of Achilud was recorder;
| شیوا کاتب بود و صادوق و اَبیّاتار هر دو کاهن بودند. | 25 |
And Sheva was scribe; and Zadok and Ebyathar were priests;
| عیرای یائیری نیز یکی از کاهنان داوود به شمار می‌آمد. | 26 |
And 'Ira also the Yairite was an officer of state unto David.
