زکریا 1

۱ 1 در ماه هشتم از سال دوم داریوش، کلام خداوند بر زکریا ابن برکیا ابن عدوی نبی نازل شده، گفت:

In the eiythe monethe, in the secounde yeer of Darius, the word of the Lord was maad to Sacarie, the sone of Barachie, the sone of Addo,

۲ 2 «خداوند بر پدران شما بسیارغضبناک بود.

profete, and seide, The Lord is wrooth on youre fadris with wrathfulnesse.

۳ 3 پس به ایشان بگو: یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید بسوی من بازگشت کنید. قول یهوه صبایوت این است. و یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید: من به سوی شما رجوع خواهم نمود.

And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis. Be ye conuertid to me, seith the Lord of oostis, and Y schal be conuertid to you, seith the Lord of oostis.

۴ 4 شما مثل پدران خود مباشید که انبیا سلف ایشان را نداکرده، گفتند یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید ازراههای زشت خود و از اعمال بد خویش بازگشت نمایید، اما خداوند می‌گوید که ایشان نشنیدند و به من گوش ندادند.

Be ye not as youre fadris, to whiche the formere profetis crieden, seiynge, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Be ye conuertid fro youre yuel weies, and youre worste thouytis; and thei herden not, nether token tent to me, seith the Lord of oostis.

۵ 5 پدران شما کجاهستند و آیا انبیا همیشه زنده می‌مانند؟

Where ben youre fadris and profetis? whether thei schulen lyue with outen ende?

۶ 6 لیکن کلام و فرایض من که به بندگان خود انبیاامرفرموده بودم، آیا پدران شما را در نگرفت؟ وچون ایشان بازگشت نمودند، گفتند چنانکه یهوه صبایوت قصد نمود که موافق راهها و اعمال ما به ما عمل نماید همچنان به ما عمل نموده است.»

Netheles my wordis and my lawful thingis, whiche Y comaundide to my seruauntis profetis, whether thei tauyten not youre fadris? And thei weren conuertid, and seiden, As the Lord of oostys thouyte for to do to vs bi oure weies, and bi oure fyndingis he dide to vs.

۷ 7 در روز بیست و چهارم ماه یازدهم که ماه شباط باشد، از سال دوم داریوش، کلام خداوندبر زکریا ابن برکیا ابن عدوی نبی نازل شده، گفت:

In the foure and twentithe dai of the enleuenthe monethe Sabath, in the secounde yeer of Darius, the word of the Lord was maad to Sacarie, sone of Barachie, sone of Addo,

۸ 8 در وقت شب دیدم که اینک مردی بر اسب سرخ سوار بود و در میان درختان آس که در وادی بود ایستاده و در عقب او اسبان سرخ و زرد و سفیدبود.

profete, and seide, Y saiy bi niyt, and lo! a man stiynge on a reed hors; and he stood bitwixe places where mirtis wexen, that weren in the depthe, and aftir hym weren horsis reede, dyuerse, and white.

۹ 9 و گفتم: «ای آقایم اینها چیستند؟» وفرشته‌ای که با من تکلم می‌نمود، مرا گفت: «من تورا نشان می‌دهم که اینها چیستند.»

And Y seide, My lord, who ben these? And an aungel of the Lord seide to me, that spak in me, Y schal schewe to thee what these ben.

۱۰ 10 پس آن مرد که در میان درختان آس ایستاده بود، جواب داد و گفت: «اینها کسانی می‌باشند که خداوند ایشان را برای تردد نمودن در جهان فرستاده است.»

And the man that stood bitwix places where mirtis wexen, answeride, and seide, These it ben, whiche the Lord sente, that thei walke thorouy erthe.

۱۱ 11 و ایشان به فرشته خداوند که در میان درختان آس ایستاده بودجواب داده، گفتند: «ما در جهان تردد نموده‌ایم واینک تمامی جهان مستریح و آرام است.»

And thei answeriden to the aungel of the Lord, that stood bitwixe places where mirtis wexen, and seiden, We han walkid thorouy erthe, and lo! al erthe is enhabitid, and restith.

۱۲ 12 وفرشته خداوند جواب داده، گفت: «ای یهوه صبایوت تا به کی بر اورشلیم و شهرهای یهودا که در این هفتاد سال غضبناک می‌بودی رحمت نخواهی نمود؟»

And the aungel of the Lord answeride, and seide, Lord of oostis, hou long schalt thou not haue merci on Jerusalem, and citees of Juda, to whiche thou art wrooth? This now is the seuentithe yeer.

۱۳ 13 و خداوند با سخنان نیکو وکلام تسلی آمیز آن فرشته‌ای را که با من تکلم می‌نمود جواب داد.

And the Lord answeride to the aungel, that spak in me, goode wordis, and wordis of coumfort.

۱۴ 14 پس فرشته‌ای که با من تکلم می‌نمود مراگفت: «ندا کرده بگو یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید: در باره اورشلیم و صهیون غیرت عظیمی داشتم.

And the aungel that spak in me, seide to me, Crie thou, seiynge, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Y louyde Jerusalem and Sion in greet feruour;

۱۵ 15 و برامت های مطمئن سخت غضبناک شدم زیرا که اندک غضبناک می‌بودم لیکن ایشان بلا را زیاده کردند.

and in greet wraththe Y schal be wroth on riche folkis; for Y was wrooth a litil, forsothe thei helpiden in to yuel.

۱۶ 16 بنابراین خداوندچنین می‌گوید: به اورشلیم با رحمت‌ها رجوع خواهم نمود و خانه من در آن بنا خواهد شد. قول یهوه صبایوت این است و ریسمانکاری بر اورشلیم کشیده خواهد شد.

Therfor the Lord seith these thingis, Y schal turne ayen to Jerusalem in mercies. Myn hous schal be bildid in it, seith the Lord of oostis; and a plomet schal be streiyt out on Jerusalem.

۱۷ 17 بار دیگر نداکرده، بگو که یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید: شهرهای من بار دیگر به سعادتمندی لبریزخواهد شد و خداوند صهیون را باز تسلی خواهد داد و اورشلیم را بار دیگر خواهدبرگزید.»

Yit crie thou, seiynge, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Yit my citees schulen flete with goodis, and yit the Lord schal coumforte Sion, and yit he schal chese Jerusalem.

۱۸ 18 پس چشمان خود را برافراشته، نگریستم واینک چهار شاخ بود.

And Y reiside myn iyen, and Y saiy, and lo! foure hornes.

۱۹ 19 و به فرشته‌ای که با من تکلم می‌نمود گفتم: «اینها چیستند؟» او مرا گفت: «اینها شاخها می‌باشند که یهودا و اسرائیل واورشلیم را پراکنده ساخته‌اند.»

And Y seide to the aungel that spak in me, What ben these? And he seide to me, These ben hornes, that wyndewiden Juda, and Israel, and Jerusalem.

۲۰ 20 و خداوندچهار آهنگر به من نشان داد.

And the Lord schewide to me foure smythis.

۲۱ 21 و گفتم: «اینان برای چه‌کار می‌آیند؟» او در جواب گفت: «آنهاشاخها می‌باشند که یهودا را چنان پراکنده نموده‌اند که احدی سر خود را بلند نمی تواند کردو اینها می‌آیند تا آنها را بترسانند و شاخهای امت هایی را که شاخ خود را بر زمین یهودابرافراشته، آن را پراکنده ساخته‌اند بیرون افکنند.»

And Y seide, What comen these for to do? Which spak, seiynge, These ben the hornes, that wyndewiden Juda bi alle men, and no man of hem reiside his heed; and these camen for to make hem aferd, that thei caste doun the hornes of hethene men, which reisiden horn on the lond of Juda, for to scatere it.
