| و واقع شد در ایام حکومت داوران که قحطی در زمین پیدا شد، و مردی ازبیت لحم یهودا رفت تا در بلاد موآب ساکن شود، او و زنش و دو پسرش. | ۱ 1 |
Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth-lehem-judah went to dwell in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.
| و اسم آن مرد الیملک بود، و اسم زنش نعومی، و پسرانش به محلون وکلیون مسمی و افراتیان بیت لحم یهودا بودند. پس به بلاد موآب رسیده، در آنجا ماندند. | ۲ 2 |
And the name of the man [was] Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Beth-lehem-judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.
| والیملک شوهر نعومی، مرد و او با دو پسرش باقی ماند. | ۳ 3 |
And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.
| و ایشان از زنان موآب برای خود زن گرفتند که نام یکی عرفه و نام دیگری روت بود، ودر آنجا قریب به ده سال توقف نمودند. | ۴ 4 |
And they took to themselves wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one [was] Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelt there about ten years.
| و هردوی ایشان محلون و کلیون نیز مردند، و آن زن ازدو پسر و شوهر خود محروم ماند. | ۵ 5 |
And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left by her two sons and her husband.
| پس او با دو عروس خود برخاست تا از بلادموآب برگردد، زیرا که در بلاد موآب شنیده بودکه خداوند از قوم خود تفقد نموده، نان به ایشان داده است. | ۶ 6 |
Then she arose with her daughters-in-law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.
| و از مکانی که در آن ساکن بود بیرون آمد، و دو عروسش همراه وی بودند، و به راه روانه شدند تا به زمین یهودا مراجعت کنند. | ۷ 7 |
Wherefore she went forth from the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.
| ونعومی به دو عروس خود گفت: «بروید و هر یکی از شما به خانه مادر خود برگردید، و خداوند برشما احسان کناد، چنانکه شما به مردگان و به من کردید. | ۸ 8 |
And Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.
| و خداوند به شما عطا کناد که هر یکی ازشما در خانه شوهر خود راحت یابید.» پس ایشان را بوسید و آواز خود را بلند کرده، گریستند. | ۹ 9 |
The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each [of you] in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.
| وبه او گفتند: «نی بلکه همراه تو نزد قوم تو خواهیم برگشت.» | ۱۰ 10 |
And they said to her, surely we will return with thee to thy people.
| نعومی گفت: «ای دخترانم برگردید، چرا همراه من بیایید؟ آیا در رحم من هنوز پسران هستند که برای شما شوهر باشند؟ | ۱۱ 11 |
And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? shall I bear more sons, that they may be your husbands?
| ای دخترانم برگشته، راه خود را پیش گیرید زیرا که برای شوهر گرفتن زیاده پیر هستم، و اگر گویم که امید دارم و امشب نیز به شوهر داده شوم وپسران هم بزایم، | ۱۲ 12 |
Turn again, my daughters, go [your way]; for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say, I have hope, [if] I should have a husband also to-night, and should also bear sons;
| آیا تا بالغ شدن ایشان صبر خواهیدکرد، و به‌خاطر ایشان، خود را از شوهر گرفتن محروم خواهید داشت؟ نی‌ای دخترانم زیرا که جانم برای شما بسیار تلخ شده است چونکه دست خداوند بر من دراز شده است.» | ۱۳ 13 |
Would ye wait for them till they should be grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes, that the hand of the LORD has gone out against me.
| پس بار دیگر آواز خود را بلند کرده، گریستند و عرفه مادر شوهر خود را بوسید، اماروت به وی چسبید. | ۱۴ 14 |
And they lifted up their voice, and wept again. And Orpah kissed her mother-in-law; but Ruth cleaved to her.
| و او گفت: «اینک زن برادر شوهرت نزد قوم خود و خدایان خویش برگشته است تو نیز در عقب زن برادر شوهرت برگرد.» | ۱۵ 15 |
And she said, Behold, thy sister-in-law hath gone back to her people, and to her gods: return thou after thy sister-in-law.
| روت گفت: «بر من اصرار مکن که تو راترک کنم و از نزد تو برگردم، زیرا هر جایی که روی می‌آیم و هر جایی که منزل کنی، منزل می‌کنم، قوم تو قوم من و خدای تو خدای من خواهد بود. | ۱۶ 16 |
And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, [or] to return from following thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people [shall be] my people, and thy God my God:
| جایی که بمیری، می‌میرم و درآنجا دفن خواهم شد. خداوند به من چنین بلکه زیاده بر این کند اگر چیزی غیر از موت، مرا از توجدا نماید.» | ۱۷ 17 |
Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, [if aught] but death shall part thee and me.
| پس چون دید که او برای رفتن همراهش مصمم شده است از سخن‌گفتن با وی باز ایستاد. | ۱۸ 18 |
When she saw that she was steadfastly resolved to go with her, then she left speaking to her.
| و ایشان هر دو روانه شدند تا به بیت لحم رسیدند، و چون وارد بیت لحم گردیدند، تمامی شهر بر ایشان به حرکت آمده، زنان گفتند که آیا این نعومی است؟ | ۱۹ 19 |
So they two went until they came to Beth-lehem. And it came to pass, when they had come to Beth-lehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, [Is] this Naomi?
| او به ایشان گفت: «مرا نعومی مخوانید بلکه مرا مره بخوانید زیرا قادر مطلق به من مرارت سخت رسانیده است. | ۲۰ 20 |
And she said to them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
| من پر بیرون رفتم و خداوند مرا خالی برگردانید پس برای چه مرا نعومی می‌خوانید چونکه خداوند مرا ذلیل ساخته است و قادرمطلق به من بدی رسانیده است.» | ۲۱ 21 |
I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why [then] call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
| و نعومی مراجعت کرد و عروسش روت موآبیه که از بلاد موآب برگشته بود، همراه وی آمد، و در ابتدای درویدن جو وارد بیت لحم شدند. | ۲۲ 22 |
So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess her daughter-in-law with her, who returned from the country of Moab: and they came to Beth-lehem in the beginning of barley-harvest.
