۱ 1 قصیده ایتان ازراحی رحمت های خداوند را تا به ابد خواهم سرایید. امانت تو را به دهان خود نسلابعد نسل اعلام خواهم کرد.

Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the lovingkindness of Jehovah for ever: With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

۲ 2 زیرا گفتم رحمت بنا خواهد شد تا ابدالاباد و امانت خویش را درافلاک پایدار خواهی ساخت.

For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever; Thy faithfulness wilt thou establish in the very heavens.

۳ 3 با برگزیده خودعهد بسته‌ام. برای بنده خویش داود قسم خورده‌ام.

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant:

۴ 4 که ذریت تو را پایدار خواهم ساخت تا ابدالاباد و تخت تو را نسلا بعد نسل بنا خواهم نمود، سلاه.

Thy seed will I establish for ever, And build up thy throne to all generations. (Selah)

۵ 5 و آسمانها کارهای عجیب تو را‌ای خداوند تمجید خواهند کرد و امانت تو را درجماعت مقدسان.

And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Jehovah; Thy faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.

۶ 6 زیرا کیست در آسمانها که باخداوند برابری تواند کرد؟ و از فرزندان زورآوران که را با خداوند تشبیه توان نمود؟

For who in the skies can be compared unto Jehovah? Who among the sons of the mighty is like unto Jehovah,

۷ 7 خدا بی‌نهایت مهیب است در جماعت مقدسان و ترسناک است بر آنانی که گرداگرد او هستند.

A God very terrible in the council of the holy ones, And to be feared above all them that are round about him?

۸ 8 ‌ای یهوه خدای لشکرها! کیست‌ای یاه قدیرمانند تو؟ و امانت تو، تو را احاطه می‌کند.

O Jehovah God of hosts, Who is a mighty one, like unto thee, O Jehovah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.

۹ 9 برتکبر دریا تو مسلط هستی. چون امواجش بلندمی شود، آنها را ساکن می‌گردانی.

Thou rulest the pride of the sea: When the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

۱۰ 10 رهب را مثل کشته شده خرد شکسته‌ای. به بازوی زورآورخویش دشمنانت را پراکنده نموده‌ای.

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; Thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.

۱۱ 11 آسمان از آن تو است و زمین نیز از آن تو. ربع مسکون وپری آن را تو بنیاد نهاده‌ای.

The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: The world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

۱۲ 12 شمال و جنوب راتو آفریده‌ای. تابور و حرمون به نام تو شادی می‌کنند.

The north and the south, thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon rejoice in thy name.

۱۳ 13 بازوی تو با قوت است. دست توزورآور است و دست راست تو متعال.

Thou hast a mighty arm; Strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

۱۴ 14 عدالت و انصاف اساس تخت تو است. رحمت و راستی پیش روی تو می‌خرامند.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of thy throne: Lovingkindness and truth go before thy face.

۱۵ 15 خوشابحال قومی که آواز شادمانی رامی دانند. در نور روی تو‌ای خداوند خواهندخرامید.

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: They walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.

۱۶ 16 در نام تو شادمان خواهند شد تمامی روز و در عدالت تو سرافراشته خواهند گردید.

In thy name do they rejoice all the day; And in thy righteousness are they exalted.

۱۷ 17 زیرا که فخر قوت ایشان تو هستی و به رضامندی تو شاخ ما مرتفع خواهد شد.

For thou art the glory of their strength; And in thy favor our horn shall be exalted.

۱۸ 18 زیراکه سپر ما از آن خداوند است و پادشاه ما از آن قدوس اسرائیل.

For our shield belongeth unto Jehovah; And our king to the Holy One of Israel.

۱۹ 19 آنگاه در عالم رویا به مقدس خود خطاب کرده، گفتی که نصرت را بر مردی زورآور نهادم و برگزیده‌ای از قوم را ممتاز کردم.

Then thou spakest in vision to thy saints, And saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

۲۰ 20 بنده خود داود را یافتم و او را به روغن مقدس خود مسح کردم.

I have found David my servant; With my holy oil have I anointed him:

۲۱ 21 که دست من با او استوارخواهد شد. بازوی من نیز او را قوی خواهدگردانید.

With whom my hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.

۲۲ 22 دشمنی بر او ستم نخواهد کرد و هیچ پسر ظلم بدو اذیت نخواهد رسانید.

The enemy shall not exact from him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

۲۳ 23 و خصمان او را پیش روی وی خواهم گرفت و آنانی را که ازاو نفرت دارند مبتلا خواهم گردانید.

And I will beat down his adversaries before him, And smite them that hate him.

۲۴ 24 و امانت ورحمت من با وی خواهد بود و در نام من شاخ اومرتفع خواهد شد.

But my faithfulness and my lovingkindness shall be with him; And in my name shall his horn be exalted.

۲۵ 25 دست او را بر دریا مستولی خواهم ساخت و دست راست او را بر نهرها.

I will set his hand also on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.

۲۶ 26 او مرا خواهد خواند که تو پدر من هستی، خدای من و صخره نجات من.

He shall cry unto me, Thou art my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.

۲۷ 27 من نیز او رانخست زاده خود خواهم ساخت، بلندتر ازپادشاهان جهان.

I also will make him [my] first-born, The highest of the kings of the earth.

۲۸ 28 رحمت خویش را برای وی نگاه خواهم داشت تا ابدالاباد و عهد من با اواستوار خواهد بود.

My lovingkindness will I keep for him for evermore; And my covenant shall stand fast with him.

۲۹ 29 و ذریت وی را باقی خواهم داشت تا ابدالاباد و تخت او را مثل روزهای آسمان.

His seed also will I make to endure for ever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

۳۰ 30 اگر فرزندانش شریعت مرا ترک کنند، و دراحکام من سلوک ننمایند،

If his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;

۳۱ 31 اگر فرایض مرابشکنند، و اوامر مرا نگاه ندارند،

If they break my statutes, And keep not my commandments;

۳۲ 32 آنگاه معصیت ایشان را به عصا تادیب خواهم نمود وگناه ایشان را به تازیانه‌ها.

Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.

۳۳ 33 لیکن رحمت خود رااز او برنخواهم داشت و امانت خویش را باطل نخواهم ساخت.

But my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, Nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

۳۴ 34 عهد خود را نخواهم شکست و آنچه را از دهانم صادر شد تغییر نخواهم داد.

My covenant will I not break, Nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

۳۵ 35 یک چیز را به قدوسیت خود قسم خوردم و به داود هرگز دروغ نخواهم گفت.

Once have I sworn by my holiness: I will not lie unto David:

۳۶ 36 که ذریت اوباقی خواهد بود تا ابدالاباد و تخت او به حضورمن مثل آفتاب،

His seed shall endure for ever, And his throne as the sun before me.

۳۷ 37 مثل ماه ثابت خواهد بود تاابدالاباد و مثل شاهد امین در آسمان، سلاه.

It shall be established for ever as the moon, And [as] the faithful witness in the sky. (Selah)

۳۸ 38 لیکن تو ترک کرده‌ای و دور انداخته‌ای و بامسیح خود غضبناک شده‌ای.

But thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

۳۹ 39 عهد بنده خودرا باطل ساخته‌ای و تاج او را بر زمین انداخته، بی‌عصمت کرده‌ای.

Thou hast abhorred the covenant of thy servant: Thou hast profaned his crown [by casting it] to the ground.

۴۰ 40 جمیع حصارهایش راشکسته و قلعه های او را خراب نموده‌ای.

Thou hast broken down all his hedges; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.

۴۱ 41 همه راه گذران او را تاراج می‌کنند و او نزد همسایگان خود عار گردیده است.

All that pass by the way rob him: He is become a reproach to his neighbors.

۴۲ 42 دست راست خصمان او را برافراشته، و همه دشمنانش را مسرورساخته‌ای.

Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries; Thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

۴۳ 43 دم شمشیر او را نیز برگردانیده‌ای واو را در جنگ پایدار نساخته‌ای.

Yea, thou turnest back the edge of his sword, And hast not made him to stand in the battle.

۴۴ 44 جلال او راباطل ساخته و تخت او را به زمین انداخته‌ای.

Thou hast made his brightness to cease, And cast his throne down to the ground.

۴۵ 45 ایام شبابش را کوتاه کرده، و او را به خجالت پوشانیده‌ای، سلاه.

The days of his youth hast thou shortened: Thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)

۴۶ 46 تا به کی‌ای خداوند خود را تا به ابد پنهان خواهی کرد و غضب تو مثل آتش افروخته خواهد شد؟

How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? [How long] shall thy wrath burn like fire?

۴۷ 47 به یاد آور که ایام حیاتم چه کم است. چرا تمامی بنی آدم را برای بطالت آفریده‌ای؟

Oh remember how short my time is: For what vanity hast thou created all the children of men!

۴۸ 48 کدام آدمی زنده است که موت رانخواهد دید؟ و جان خویش را از دست قبرخلاص خواهد ساخت؟ سلاه. (Sheol h7585)

What man is he that shall live and not see death, That shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)

۴۹ 49 ‌ای خداوندرحمت های قدیم تو کجاست؟ که برای داود به امانت خود قسم خوردی.

Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, Which thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?

۵۰ 50 ‌ای خداوند ملامت بنده خود را به یاد آور که آن را از قومهای بسیاردر سینه خود متحمل می‌باشم.

Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; How I do bear in my bosom [the reproach of] all the mighty peoples,

۵۱ 51 که دشمنان توای خداوند ملامت کرده‌اند، یعنی آثار مسیح تورا ملامت نموده‌اند.

Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Jehovah, Wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

۵۲ 52 خداوند متبارک باد تاابدالاباد. آمین و آمین.

Blessed be Jehovah for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
