مزامیر 82

۱ 1 مزمور آساف خدا در جماعت خدا ایستاده است. درمیان خدایان داوری می‌کند:

“A psalm of Asaph.” God standeth in God's assembly, He judgeth in the midst of the gods.

۲ 2 «تا به کی به بی‌انصافی داوری خواهید کرد و شریران راطرفداری خواهید نمود؟ سلاه.

“How long will ye judge unjustly, And favor the cause of the wicked? (Pause)

۳ 3 فقیران و یتیمان را دادرسی بکنید. مظلومان و مسکینان را انصاف دهید.

Defend the poor and the fatherless; Do justice to the wretched and the needy!

۴ 4 مظلومان و فقیران را برهانید و ایشان را ازدست شریران خلاصی دهید.

Deliver the poor and the destitute; Save them from the hand of the wicked!

۵ 5 «نمی دانند و نمی فهمند و در تاریکی راه می‌روند و جمیع اساس زمین متزلزل می‌باشد.

They are without knowledge and without understanding; They walk in darkness: Therefore all the foundations of the land are shaken.

۶ 6 من گفتم که شما خدایانید و جمیع شما فرزندان حضرت اعلی.

I have said, Ye are gods, And all of you children of the Most High;

۷ 7 لیکن مثل آدمیان خواهید مرد وچون یکی از سروران خواهید افتاد!»

But ye shall die like men, And fall like the rest of the princes.”

۸ 8 ‌ای خدا برخیز و جهان را داوری فرما زیراکه تو تمامی امت‌ها را متصرف خواهی شد.

Arise, O God! judge the earth! For all the nations are thy possession.
