۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان برجتیت. مزمور داود ای یهوه خداوند ما، چه مجید است نام تودر تمامی زمین، که جلال خود را فوق آسمانها گذارده‌ای!

۲ 2 از زبان کودکان وشیرخوارگان به‌سبب خصمانت قوت را بنا نهادی تا دشمن و انتقام گیرنده را ساکت گردانی.

Of the mouth of yonge children, not spekynge and soukynge mylk, thou madist perfitli heriyng, for thin enemyes; that thou destrie the enemy and avengere.

۳ 3 چون به آسمان تو نگاه کنم که صنعت انگشتهای توست، و به ماه و ستارگانی که تو آفریده‌ای،

For Y schal se thin heuenes, the werkis of thi fyngris; the moone and sterris, whiche thou hast foundid.

۴ 4 پس انسان چیست که او را به یادآوری، وبنی آدم که از او تفقد نمایی؟

What is a man, that thou art myndeful of hym; ethir the sone of a virgyn, for thou visitist hym?

۵ 5 او را از فرشتگان اندکی کمتر ساختی و تاج جلال و اکرام را بر سراو گذاردی.

Thou hast maad hym a litil lesse than aungels; thou hast corouned hym with glorie and onour,

۶ 6 او را بر کارهای دست خودت مسلط نمودی، و همه‌چیز را زیر پای وی نهادی،

and hast ordeyned hym aboue the werkis of thin hondis.

۷ 7 گوسفندان و گاوان جمیع، و بهایم صحرا را نیز؛

Thou hast maad suget alle thingis vndur hise feet; alle scheep and oxis, ferthermore and the beestis of the feeld;

۸ 8 مرغان هوا و ماهیان دریا را، و هر‌چه بر راههای آبها سیر می‌کند.

the briddis of the eir, and the fischis of the see; that passen bi the pathis of the see.

۹ 9 ‌ای یهوه خداوند ما، چه مجیداست نام تو در تمامی زمین!

Lord, `thou art oure Lord; thi name `is wondurful in al erthe.
