مزامیر 51

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود وقتی که ناتان نبی بعد از در‌آمدنش به بتشبع نزد او آمد ای خدا به حسب رحمت خود بر من رحم فرما. به حسب کثرت رافت خویش گناهانم را محو ساز.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

۲ 2 مرا از عصیانم به کلی شست و شو ده و از گناهم مرا طاهر کن.

Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.

۳ 3 زیرا که من به معصیت خود اعتراف می‌کنم وگناهم همیشه در نظر من است.

For I know my transgressions; And my sin is ever before me.

۴ 4 به تو و به تو تنهاگناه ورزیده، و در نظر تو این بدی را کرده‌ام. تا درکلام خود مصدق گردی و در داوری خویش مزکی شوی.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, And done that which is evil in thy sight; That thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, And be clear when thou judgest.

۵ 5 اینک در معصیت سرشته شدم و مادرم درگناه به من آبستن گردید.

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me.

۶ 6 اینک براستی در قلب راغب هستی. پس حکمت را در باطن من به من بیاموز.

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts; And in the hidden part thou wilt make me to know wisdom.

۷ 7 مرا با زوفا پاک کن تا طاهر شوم. مراشست و شو کن تا از برف سفیدتر گردم.

Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

۸ 8 شادی وخرمی را به من بشنوان تا استخوانهایی که کوبیده‌ای به وجد آید.

Make me to hear joy and gladness, That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

۹ 9 روی خود را از گناهانم بپوشان و همه خطایای مرا محو کن.

Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all mine iniquities.

۱۰ 10 ‌ای خدادل طاهر در من بیافرین و روح مستقیم در باطنم تازه بساز.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.

۱۱ 11 مرا از حضور خود مینداز، و روح قدوس خود را از من مگیر.

Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy Spirit from me.

۱۲ 12 شادی نجات خودرا به من باز ده و به روح آزاد مرا تایید فرما.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with a willing spirit.

۱۳ 13 آنگاه طریق تو را به خطاکاران تعلیم خواهم داد، و گناه کاران بسوی تو بازگشت خواهند نمود.

Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto thee.

۱۴ 14 مرا از خونها نجات ده! ای خدایی که خدای نجات من هستی! تا زبانم به عدالت تو ترنم نماید.

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation; [And] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

۱۵ 15 خداوندا لبهایم را بگشا تا زبانم تسبیح تو رااخبار نماید.

O Lord, open thou my lips; And my mouth shall show forth thy praise.

۱۶ 16 زیرا قربانی را دوست نداشتی والا می‌دادم. قربانی سوختنی را پسند نکردی.

For thou delightest not in sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.

۱۷ 17 قربانی های خدا روح شکسته است. خدایا دل شکسته و کوبیده را خوار نخواهی شمرد.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

۱۸ 18 به رضامندی خود بر صهیون احسان فرما وحصارهای اورشلیم را بنا نما.

Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: Build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

۱۹ 19 آنگاه ازقربانی های عدالت و قربانی های سوختنی تمام راضی خواهی شد و گوساله‌ها بر مذبح توخواهند گذرانید.

Then wilt thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, In burnt-offering and whole burnt-offering: Then will they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
