برای سالار مغنیان. سرود بنی قورح برعلاموت خدا ملجا و قوت ماست، و مددکاری که در تنگیها فور یافت می‌شود. ۱ 1
“For the leader of the music. Of, or for, the sons of Korah. To be sung in the manner, or with the voice, of virgins.” God is our refuge and strength; An ever present help in trouble.
پس نخواهیم ترسید، اگر‌چه جهان مبدل گردد وکوهها در قعر دریا به لرزش آید. ۲ 2
Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be changed; Though the mountains tremble in the heart of the sea;
اگر‌چه آبهایش آشوب کنند و به جوش آیند و کوهها ازسرکشی آن متزلزل گردند، سلاه. ۳ 3
Though its waters roar and be troubled, And the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. (Pause)
نهری است که شعبه هایش شهر خدا را فرحناک می‌سازد ومسکن قدوس حضرت اعلی را. ۴ 4
A river with its streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling-place of the Most High.
خدا در وسطاوست پس جنبش نخواهد خورد. خدا او رااعانت خواهد کرد در طلوع صبح. ۵ 5
God is the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her, and that full early.
امت‌ها نعره زدند و مملکتها متحرک گردیدند. او آواز خود راداد. پس جهان گداخته گردید. ۶ 6
The nations raged; kingdoms were moved; He uttered his voice, the earth melted.
یهوه صبایوت باماست. و خدای یعقوب قلعه بلند ما، سلاه. ۷ 7
The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. (Pause)
بیایید کارهای خداوند را نظاره کنید، که چه خرابیها در جهان پیدا نمود. ۸ 8
Come, behold the doings of the LORD; What desolations he hath made in the earth!
او جنگها را تااقصای جهان تسکین می‌دهد. کمان را می‌شکند ونیزه را قطع می‌کند و ارابه‌ها را به آتش می‌سوزاند. ۹ 9
He causeth wars to cease to the end of the earth; He hath broken the bow, and snapped the spear asunder, And burned the chariots in fire.
بازایستید و بدانید که من خدا هستم. در میان امت‌ها، متعال و در جهان، متعال خواهم شد. ۱۰ 10
“Desist, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted throughout the earth!”
یهوه صبایوت با ماست و خدای یعقوب قلعه بلند ما، سلاه. ۱۱ 11
The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.
