مزامیر 38

۱ 1 مزمور داود برای تذکر ای خداوند مرا در غضب خود توبیخ منما و در خشم خویش تادیبم مفرما.

A Psalm of David, to make memorial. O LORD, rebuke me not in Thine anger; neither chasten me in Thy wrath.

۲ 2 زیرا که تیرهای تو در من فرو رفته و دست تو برمن فرود آمده است.

For Thine arrows are gone deep into me, and Thy hand is come down upon me.

۳ 3 در جسد من به‌سبب غضب تو صحتی نیست و در استخوانهایم به‌سبب خطای خودم سلامتی نی.

There is no soundness in my flesh because of Thine indignation; neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.

۴ 4 زیرا گناهانم از سرم گذشته است. مثل بارگران از طاقتم سنگین ترشده.

For mine iniquities are gone over my head; as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

۵ 5 جراحات من متعفن و مقروح شده است، به‌سبب حماقت من.

My wounds are noisome, they fester, because of my foolishness.

۶ 6 به خود می‌پیچم وبی نهایت منحنی شده‌ام. تمامی روز ماتم‌کنان تردد می‌کنم.

I am bent and bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day.

۷ 7 زیرا کمر من از سوزش پر شده است و در جسد من صحتی نیست.

For my loins are filled with burning; and there is no soundness in my flesh.

۸ 8 من بی‌حس و بی‌نهایت کوفته شده‌ام و از فغان دل خود نعره می‌زنم.

I am benumbed and sore crushed; I groan by reason of the moaning of my heart.

۹ 9 ‌ای خداوند تمامی آرزوی من در مد نظر تواست و ناله های من از تو مخفی نمی باشد.

Lord, all my desire is before Thee; and my sighing is not hid from Thee.

۱۰ 10 دل من می‌طپد و قوتم از من رفته است و نور چشمانم نیز با من نیست.

My heart fluttereth, my strength faileth me; as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

۱۱ 11 دوستان و رفیقانم از بلای من برکنار می‌ایستند و خویشان من دور ایستاده‌اند.

My friends and my companions stand aloof from my plague; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

۱۲ 12 آنانی که قصد جانم دارند دام می‌گسترند و بداندیشانم سخنان فتنه انگیز می‌گویند و تمام روزحیله را تفکر می‌کنند.

They also that seek after my life lay snares for me; and they that seek my hurt speak crafty devices, and utter deceits all the day.

۱۳ 13 و اما من مثل کر نمی شنوم. مانند گنگم که دهان خود را باز نکند.

But I am as a deaf man, I hear not; and I am as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

۱۴ 14 و مثل کسی گردیده‌ام که نمی شنود و کسی‌که در زبانش حجتی نباشد.

Yea, I am become as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no arguments.

۱۵ 15 زیرا که‌ای خداوند انتظار تو را می‌کشم. تو‌ای یهوه خدایم جواب خواهی داد.

For in Thee, O LORD, do I hope; Thou wilt answer, O Lord my God.

۱۶ 16 چونکه گفته‌ام مبادا بر من شادی نمایند و چون پایم بلغزد بر من تکبر کنند.

For I said: 'Lest they rejoice over me; when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.'

۱۷ 17 زیرا که برای افتادن نصب شده‌ام ودرد من همیشه پیش روی من است.

For I am ready to halt, and my pain is continually before me.

۱۸ 18 زیرا گناه خود را اخبار می‌نمایم و از خطای خود غمگین هستم.

For I do declare mine iniquity; I am full of care because of my sin.

۱۹ 19 اما دشمنانم زنده و زورآوراند و آنانی که بی‌سبب بر من بغض می‌نمایند بسیاراند.

But mine enemies are strong in health; and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

۲۰ 20 وآنانی که به عوض نیکی به من بدی می‌رسانند. برمن عداوت می‌ورزند زیرا نیکویی را پیروی می‌کنم.

They also that repay evil for good are adversaries unto me, because I follow the thing that is good.

۲۱ 21 ‌ای خداوند مرا ترک منما. ای خدای من از من دور مباش.

Forsake me not, O LORD; O my God, be not far from me.

۲۲ 22 و برای اعانت من تعجیل فرما‌ای خداوندی که نجات من هستی.

Make haste to help me, O LORD, my salvation.
