مزامیر 37

۱ 1 مزمور داود به‌سبب شریران خویشتن را مشوش مساز و بر فتنه انگیزان حسد مبر.

A psalm for David himself. Be not emulous of evildoers; nor envy them that work iniquity.

۲ 2 زیراکه مثل علف به زودی بریده می‌شوند و مثل علف سبز پژمرده خواهند شد.

For they shall shortly wither away as grass, and as the green herbs shall quickly fall.

۳ 3 بر خداوند توکل نما و نیکویی بکن. در زمین ساکن باش و از امانت پرورده شو.

Trust in the Lord, and do good, and dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed with its riches.

۴ 4 و در خداوندتمتع ببر، پس مسالت دل تو را به تو خواهد داد.

Delight in the Lord, and he will give thee the requests of thy heart.

۵ 5 طریق خود را به خداوند بسپار و بر وی توکل کن که آن را انجام خواهد داد.

Commit thy way to the Lord, and trust in him, and he will do it.

۶ 6 و عدالت تو رامثل نور بیرون خواهد آورد و انصاف تو را مانندظهر.

And he will bring forth thy justice as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

۷ 7 نزد خداوند ساکت شو و منتظر او باش واز شخص فرخنده طریق و مرد حیله گر خود رامشوش مساز.

Be subject to the Lord and pray to him Envy not the man who prospereth in his way; the man who doth unjust things.

۸ 8 از غضب برکنار شو و خشم راترک کن. خود را مشوش مساز که البته باعث گناه خواهد شد.

Cease from anger, and leave rage; have no emulation to do evil.

۹ 9 زیرا که شریران منقطع خواهندشد. و اما منتظران خداوند وارث زمین خواهندبود.

For the evildoers shall be cut off: but they that wait upon the Lord shall inherit the land.

۱۰ 10 هان بعد از اندک زمانی شریر نخواهد بود. در مکانش تامل خواهی کرد و نخواهد بود.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: and thou shalt seek his place, and shalt not find it.

۱۱ 11 واما حلیمان وارث زمین خواهند شد و از فراوانی سلامتی متلذذ خواهند گردید.

But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight in abundance of peace.

۱۲ 12 شریر بر مرد عادل شورا می‌کند و دندانهای خود را بر او می‌افشرد.

The sinner shall watch the just man: and shall gnash upon him with his teeth.

۱۳ 13 خداوند بر او خواهدخندید، زیرا می‌بیند که روز او می‌آید.

But the Lord shall laugh at him: for he foreseeth that his day shall come.

۱۴ 14 شریران شمشیر را برهنه کرده و کمان راکشیده‌اند تا مسکین و فقیر را بیندازند وراست روان را مقتول سازند.

The wicked have drawn out the sword: they have bent their bow. To cast down the poor and needy, to kill the upright of heart.

۱۵ 15 شمشیر ایشان به دل خود ایشان فرو خواهد رفت و کمانهای ایشان شکسته خواهد شد.

Let their sword enter into their own hearts, and let their bow be broken.

۱۶ 16 نعمت اندک یک مردصالح بهتر است، از اندوخته های شریران کثیر.

Better is a little to the just, than the great riches of the wicked.

۱۷ 17 زیرا که بازوهای شریران، شکسته خواهد شد. و اما صالحان را خداوند تایید می‌کند.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken in pieces; but the Lord strengtheneth the just.

۱۸ 18 خداوندروزهای کاملان را می‌داند و میراث ایشان خواهدبود تا ابدالاباد.

The Lord knoweth the days of undefiled; and their inheritance shall be for ever.

۱۹ 19 در زمان بلا خجل نخواهندشد، و در ایام قحط سیر خواهند بود.

They shall not be confounded in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be filled:

۲۰ 20 زیراشریران هلاک می‌شوند و دشمنان خداوند مثل خرمی مرتعها فانی خواهند شد. بلی مثل دخان فانی خواهند گردید.

Because the wicked shall perish. And the enemies of the Lord, presently after they shall be honoured and exalted, shall come to nothing and vanish like smoke.

۲۱ 21 شریر قرض می‌گیرد ووفا نمی کند و اما صالح رحیم و بخشنده است.

The sinner shall borrow, and not pay again; but the just sheweth mercy and shall give.

۲۲ 22 زیرا آنانی که از وی برکت یابند وارث زمین گردند. و اما آنانی که ملعون وی‌اند، منقطع خواهند شد.

For such as bless him shall inherit the land: but such as curse him shall perish.

۲۳ 23 خداوند قدمهای انسان رامستحکم می‌سازد، و در طریق هایش سرورمی دارد.

With the Lord shall the steps of a man be directed, and he shall like well his way.

۲۴ 24 اگر‌چه بیفتد افکنده نخواهد شد زیراخداوند دستش را می‌گیرد.

When he shall fall he shall not be bruised, for the Lord putteth his hand under him.

۲۵ 25 من جوان بودم والان پیر هستم و مرد صالح را هرگز متروک ندیده‌ام و نه نسلش را که گدای نان بشوند.

I have been young, and now am old; and I have not seen the just forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.

۲۶ 26 تمامی روز رئوف است و قرض دهنده. وذریت او مبارک خواهند بود.

He sheweth mercy, and lendeth all the day long; and his seed shall be in blessing.

۲۷ 27 از بدی برکنار شو و نیکویی بکن. پس ساکن خواهی بود تا ابدالاباد.

Decline from evil and do good, and dwell for ever and ever.

۲۸ 28 زیرا خداوند انصاف را دوست می‌دارد و مقدسان خود را ترک نخواهدفرمود. ایشان محفوظ خواهند بود تا ابدالاباد. واما نسل شریر منقطع خواهد شد.

For the Lord loveth judgment, and will not forsake his saints: they shall be preserved for ever. The unjust shall be punished, and the seed of the wicked shall perish.

۲۹ 29 صالحان وارث زمین خواهند بود و در آن تا به ابد سکونت خواهند نمود.

But the just shall inherit the land, and shall dwell therein for evermore.

۳۰ 30 دهان صالح حکمت را بیان می‌کند و زبان او انصاف را ذکر می‌نماید.

The mouth of the just shall meditate wisdom: and his tongue shall speak judgment.

۳۱ 31 شریعت خدای وی در دل اوست. پس قدمهایش نخواهد لغزید.

The law of his God is in his heart, and his steps shall not be supplanted.

۳۲ 32 شریر برای صالح کمین می‌کند و قصد قتل وی می‌دارد.

The wicked watcheth the just man, and seeketh to put him to death,

۳۳ 33 خداونداو را در دستش ترک نخواهد کرد و چون به داوری آید بر وی فتوا نخواهد داد.

But the Lord will not leave in his hands; nor condemn him when he shall be judged.

۳۴ 34 منتظرخداوند باش و طریق او را نگاه دار تا تو را به وراثت زمین برافرازد. چون شریران منقطع شوندآن را خواهی دید.

Expect the Lord and keep his way: and he will exalt thee to inherit the land: when the sinners shall perish thou shalt see.

۳۵ 35 شریر را دیدم که ظلم پیشه بود و مثل درخت بومی سبز خود را بهر سومی کشید.

I have seen the wicked highly exalted, and lifted up like the cedars of Libanus.

۳۶ 36 اما گذشت و اینک نیست گردید و اورا جستجو کردم و یافت نشد.

And I passed by, and lo, he was not: and I sought him and his place was not found.

۳۷ 37 مرد کامل راملاحظه کن و مرد راست را ببین زیرا که عاقبت آن مرد سلامتی است.

Keep innocence, and behold justice: for there are remnants for the peaceable man.

۳۸ 38 اما خطاکاران جمیع هلاک خواهند گردید و عاقبت شریران منقطع خواهد شد

But the unjust shall be destroyed together: the remnants of the wicked shall perish.

۳۹ 39 و نجات صالحان از خداوند است و در وقت تنگی او قلعه ایشان خواهد بود.

But the salvation of the just is from the Lord, and he is their protector in the time of trouble.

۴۰ 40 وخداوند ایشان را اعانت کرده، نجات خواهد داد. ایشان را از شریران خلاص کرده، خواهد رهانید. زیرا بر او توکل دارند.

And the Lord will help them and deliver them: and he will rescue them from the wicked, and save them, because they have hoped in him.
