| چرا امت‌ها شورش نموده‌اند و طوائف در باطل تفکر می‌کنند؟ | ۱ 1 |
Why have the Gentiles raged, and the people devised vain things?
| پادشاهان زمین برمی خیزند و سروران با هم مشورت نموده‌اند، به ضد خداوند و به ضد مسیح او؛ | ۲ 2 |
The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes met together, against the Lord and against his Christ.
| که بندهای ایشان را بگسلیم و زنجیرهای ایشان را از خودبیندازیم. | ۳ 3 |
Let us break their bonds asunder: and let us cast away their yoke from us.
| او که بر آسمانها نشسته است می خندد. خداوند بر ایشان استهزا می‌کند. | ۴ 4 |
He that dwelleth in heaven shall laugh at them: and the Lord shall deride them.
| آنگاه در خشم خود بدیشان تکلم خواهد کرد وبه غضب خویش ایشان را آشفته خواهد ساخت. | ۵ 5 |
Then shall he speak to them in his anger, and trouble them in his rage.
| «و من پادشاه خود را نصب کرده‌ام، بر کوه مقدس خود صهیون.» | ۶ 6 |
But I am appointed king by him over Sion his holy mountain, preaching his commandment.
| فرمان را اعلام می‌کنم: خداوند به من گفته است: «تو پسر من هستی امروزتو را تولید کردم. | ۷ 7 |
The Lord hath said to me: Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee.
| از من درخواست کن و امت هارا به میراث تو خواهم داد. و اقصای زمین را ملک تو خواهم گردانید. | ۸ 8 |
Ask of me, and I will give thee the Gentiles for thy inheritance, and the utmost parts of the earth for thy possession.
| ایشان را به عصای آهنین خواهی شکست؛ مثل کوزه کوزه‌گر آنها را خردخواهی نمود.» | ۹ 9 |
Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron, and shalt break them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
| و الان‌ای پادشاهان تعقل نمایید! ای داوران جهان متنبه گردید! | ۱۰ 10 |
And now, O ye kings, understand: receive instruction, you that judge the earth.
| خداوند را با ترس عبادت کنید و با لرز شادی نمایید! | ۱۱ 11 |
Serve ye the Lord with fear: and rejoice unto him with trembling.
| پسر راببوسید مبادا غضبناک شود، و از طریق هلاک شوید، زیرا غضب او به اندکی افروخته می‌شود. خوشابحال همه آنانی که بر او توکل دارند. | ۱۲ 12 |
Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you perish from the just way. When his wrath shall be kindled in a short time, blessed are all they that trust in him.
