۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود ای خداوند، مرا از مرد شریر رهایی ده و از مرد ظالم مرا محفوظ فرما!

۲ 2 که در دلهای خود در شرارت تفکر می‌کنند وتمامی روز برای جنگ جمع می‌شوند.

Whiche thouyten wickidnesses in the herte; al dai thei ordeyneden batels.

۳ 3 دندانهای خود را مثل مار تیز می‌کنند و زهرافعی زیر لب ایشان است، سلاه.

Thei scharpiden her tungis as serpentis; the venym of snakis vndir the lippis of hem.

۴ 4 ‌ای خداوند مرااز دست شریر نگاه دار، از مرد ظالم مرا محافظت فرما که تدبیر می‌کنند تا پایهای مرا بلغزانند.

Lord, kepe thou me fro the hond of the synnere; and delyuere thou me fro wickid men. Which thouyten to disseyue my goyngis;

۵ 5 متکبران برای من تله و ریسمانها پنهان کرده ودام به‌سر راه گسترده، و کمندها برای من نهاده‌اند، سلاه.

proude men hidden a snare to me. And thei leiden forth cordis in to a snare; thei settiden sclaundir to me bisidis the weie.

۶ 6 به خداوند گفتم: «تو خدای من هستی. ای خداوند آواز تضرع مرا بشنو!»

I seide to the Lord, Thou art mi God; Lord, here thou the vois of my biseching.

۷ 7 ‌ای یهوه خداوندکه قوت نجات من هستی، تو سر مرا در روز جنگ پوشانیده‌ای.

Lord, Lord, the vertu of myn heelthe; thou madist schadowe on myn heed in the dai of batel.

۸ 8 ‌ای خداوند، آرزوهای شریر رابرایش برمیاور و تدابیر ایشان را به انجام مرسان مبادا سرافراشته شوند، سلاه.

Lord, bitake thou not me fro my desire to the synnere; thei thouyten ayens me, forsake thou not me, lest perauenture thei ben enhaunsid.

۹ 9 و اما سرهای آنانی که مرا احاطه می‌کنند، شرارت لبهای ایشان، آنها را خواهد پوشانید.

The heed of the cumpas of hem; the trauel of her lippis schal hile hem.

۱۰ 10 اخگرهای سوزنده را برایشان خواهند ریخت، ایشان را درآتش خواهند انداخت و در ژرفیها که دیگرنخواهند برخاست.

۱۱ 11 مرد بدگو در زمین پایدارنخواهد شد. مرد ظالم را شرارت صید خواهدکرد تا او را هلاک کند

۱۲ 12 می‌دانم که خداونددادرسی فقیر را خواهد کرد و داوری مسکینان راخواهد نمود.

I haue knowe, that the Lord schal make dom of a nedi man; and the veniaunce of pore men.

۱۳ 13 هر آینه عادلان نام تو را حمدخواهند گفت و راستان به حضور تو ساکن خواهند شد.
