مزامیر 138

۱ 1 تو را به تمامی دل خود حمدخواهم گفت. به حضور خدایان تورا حمد خواهم گفت.

A Psalme of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: euen before the gods will I praise thee.

۲ 2 به سوی هیکل قدس توعبادت خواهم کرد و نام تو را حمد خواهم گفت، به‌سبب رحمت و راستی تو. زیرا کلام خود را برتمام اسم خود تمجید نموده‌ای.

I will worship toward thine holy Temple and praise thy Name, because of thy louing kindenesse and for thy trueth: for thou hast magnified thy Name aboue all things by thy word.

۳ 3 در روزی که تورا خواندم مرا اجابت فرمودی. و مرا با قوت درجانم شجاع ساختی.

When I called, then thou heardest me, and hast encreased strength in my soule.

۴ 4 ‌ای خداوند، تمام پادشاهان جهان تو راحمد خواهند گفت، چون کلام دهان تو رابشنوند.

All the Kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord: for they haue heard the wordes of thy mouth.

۵ 5 و طریق های خداوند را خواهندسرایید، زیرا که جلال خداوند عظیم است.

And they shall sing of the wayes of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord is great.

۶ 6 زیراکه خداوند متعال است، لیکن بر فروتنان نظر می‌کند. و اما متکبران را از دور می‌شناسد.

For the Lord is high: yet he beholdeth the lowly, but the proude he knoweth afarre off.

۷ 7 اگر‌چه در میان تنگی راه می‌روم، مرا زنده خواهی کرد. دست خود را بر خشم دشمنانم درازمی کنی و دست راستت مرا نجات خواهد داد.

Though I walke in the middes of trouble, yet wilt thou reuiue me: thou wilt stretch foorth thine hand vpon the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall saue me.

۸ 8 خداوند کار مرا به‌کمال خواهد رسانید. ای خداوند، رحمت تو تا ابدالاباد است. کارهای دست خویش را ترک منما.

The Lord will performe his worke toward me: O Lord, thy mercie endureth for euer: forsake not the workes of thine handes.
