| هللویاه! خداوند را حمد بگوییدزیرا که او نیکو است و رحمت او تاابدالاباد! | ۱ 1 |
Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
| کیست که اعمال عظیم خداوند رابگوید و همه تسبیحات او را بشنواند؟ | ۲ 2 |
Who shall tell the mighty acts of the Lord? [who] shall cause all his praises to be heard?
| خوشابحال آنانی که انصاف را نگاه دارند و آن که عدالت را در همه وقت به عمل آورد. | ۳ 3 |
Blessed are they that keep judgment, and do righteousness at all times.
| ای خداوند مرا یاد کن به رضامندیی که با قوم خودمی داری و به نجات خود از من تفقد نما. | ۴ 4 |
Remember us, O Lord, with the favor [you have] to your people: visit us with your salvation;
| تاسعادت برگزیدگان تو را ببینم و به شادمانی قوم تو مسرور شوم و با میراث تو فخر نمایم. | ۵ 5 |
that we may behold the good of your elect, that we may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that we may glory with your inheritance.
| با پدران خود گناه نموده‌ایم و عصیان ورزیده، شرارت کرده‌ایم. | ۶ 6 |
We have sinned with our fathers, we have transgressed, we have done unrighteously.
| پدران ما کارهای عجیب تو را در مصر نفهمیدند و کثرت رحمت تو را به یاد نیاوردند بلکه نزد دریا یعنی بحر قلزم فتنه انگیختند. | ۷ 7 |
Our fathers in Egypt understood not your wonders, and remembered not the multitude of your mercy; but provoked [him] as they went up by the Red Sea.
| لیکن به‌خاطر اسم خود ایشان رانجات داد تا توانایی خود را اعلان نماید. | ۸ 8 |
Yet he saved them for his name's sake, that he might cause his mighty power to be known.
| و بحرقلزم را عتاب کرد که خشک گردید. پس ایشان رادر لجه‌ها مثل بیابان رهبری فرمود. | ۹ 9 |
And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up: so he led them through the deep as through the wilderness.
| و ایشان رااز دست دشمن نجات داد و از دست خصم رهایی بخشید. | ۱۰ 10 |
And he saved them out of the hand of them that hated [them], and redeemed them out of the hand of the enemy.
| و آب، دشمنان ایشان را پوشانید که یکی از ایشان باقی نماند. | ۱۱ 11 |
The water covered those that oppressed them: there was not one of them left.
| آنگاه به کلام اوایمان آوردند و حمد او را سراییدند. | ۱۲ 12 |
Then they believed his words, and celebrated his praise.
| لیکن اعمال او را به زودی فراموش کردند و مشورت اورا انتظار نکشیدند. | ۱۳ 13 |
They made haste, they forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel.
| بلکه شهوت‌پرستی نمودنددر بادیه؛ و خدا را امتحان کردند در هامون. | ۱۴ 14 |
And they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the dry [land].
| ومسالت ایشان را بدیشان داد. لیکن لاغری درجانهای ایشان فرستاد. | ۱۵ 15 |
And he gave them their request, and sent fullness into their souls.
| پس به موسی در اردو حسد بردند و به هارون، مقدس یهوه. | ۱۶ 16 |
They provoked Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
| و زمین شکافته شده، داتان را فرو برد و جماعت ابیرام را پوشانید. | ۱۷ 17 |
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and closed upon the congregation of Abiron.
| وآتش، در جماعت ایشان افروخته شده، شعله آتش شریران را سوزانید. | ۱۸ 18 |
And a fire was kindled in their congregation, and a flame burnt up the sinners.
| گوساله‌ای درحوریب ساختند و بتی ریخته شده را پرستش نمودند. | ۱۹ 19 |
And they made a calf in Choreb, and worshipped the graven image,
| و جلال خود را تبدیل نمودند به مثال گاوی که علف می‌خورد. | ۲۰ 20 |
and they changed their glory into the similitude of a calf that feeds on grass.
| و خدای نجات‌دهنده خود را فراموش کردند که کارهای عظیم در مصر کرده بود. | ۲۱ 21 |
They forgot God that saved them, who had wrought great deeds in Egypt;
| و اعمال عجیبه را در زمین حام و کارهای ترسناک را در بحر قلزم. | ۲۲ 22 |
wondrous [works] in the land of Cham, and terrible things at the Red Sea.
| آنگاه گفت که ایشان را هلاک بکند. اگر برگزیده اوموسی در شکاف به حضور وی نمی ایستاد، تاغضب او را از هلاکت ایشان برگرداند. | ۲۳ 23 |
So he said that he would have destroyed them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn [him] away from the fierceness of his anger, so that he should not destroy them.
| و زمین مرغوب را خوار شمردند و به کلام وی ایمان نیاوردند. | ۲۴ 24 |
Moreover they set at nothing the desirable land, and believed not his word.
| و در خیمه های خود همهمه کردندو قول خداوند را استماع ننمودند. | ۲۵ 25 |
And they murmured in their tents: they listened not to the voice of the Lord.
| لهذا دست خود را برایشان برافراشت، که ایشان را در صحرااز پا درآورد. | ۲۶ 26 |
So he lifted up his hand against them, to cast them down in the wilderness;
| و ذریت ایشان را در میان امتهابیندازد و ایشان را در زمینها پراکنده کند. | ۲۷ 27 |
and to cast down their seed among the nations, and to scatter them in the countries.
| پس به بعل فغور پیوستند و قربانی های مردگان راخوردند. | ۲۸ 28 |
They were joined also to Beelphegor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead. And they provoked him with their devices;
| و به‌کارهای خود خشم او را به هیجان آوردند و وبا بر ایشان سخت آمد. | ۲۹ 29 |
and destruction, was multiplied among them.
| آنگاه فینحاس بر پا ایستاده، داوری نمود ووبا برداشته شد. | ۳۰ 30 |
Then Phinees stood up, and made atonement: and the plague ceased.
| و این برای او به عدالت محسوب گردید، نسلا بعد نسل تا ابدالاباد. | ۳۱ 31 |
And it was counted to him for righteousness, to all generations for ever.
| واو را نزد آب مریبه غضبناک نمودند. حتی موسی را به‌خاطر ایشان آزاری عارض گردید. | ۳۲ 32 |
They provoked him also at the water of Strife, and Moses was hurt for their sakes;
| زیراکه روح او را تلخ ساختند، تا از لبهای خود ناسزاگفت. | ۳۳ 33 |
for they provoked his spirit, and he spoke [unadvisedly] with his lips.
| و آن قوم‌ها را هلاک نکردند، که درباره ایشان خداوند امر فرموده بود. | ۳۴ 34 |
They destroyed not the nations which the Lord told them [to destroy];
| بلکه خویشتن را با امتها آمیختند و کارهای ایشان را آموختند. | ۳۵ 35 |
but were mingled with the heathen, and learned their works.
| و بتهای ایشان را پرستش نمودند تا آنکه برای ایشان دام گردید. | ۳۶ 36 |
And they served their graven images; and it became an offense to them.
| و پسران و دختران خویش رابرای دیوها قربانی گذرانیدند. | ۳۷ 37 |
And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to devils,
| و خون بی‌گناه راریختند یعنی خون پسران و دختران خود را که آن را برای بتهای کنعان ذبح کردند و زمین از خون ملوث گردید. | ۳۸ 38 |
and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Chanaan; and the land was defiled with blood.
| و از کارهای خود نجس شدند ودر افعال خویش زناکار گردیدند. | ۳۹ 39 |
and was polluted with their works; and they went a whoring with their own devices.
| لهذا خشم خداوند بر قوم خود افروخته شد و میراث خویش را مکروه داشت. | ۴۰ 40 |
So the Lord was very angry with his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.
| و ایشان را به‌دست امتها تسلیم نمود تا آنانی که از ایشان نفرت داشتند، بر ایشان حکمرانی کردند. | ۴۱ 41 |
And he delivered them into the hands of [their] enemies; and they that hated them ruled over them.
| و دشمنان ایشان بر ایشان ظلم نمودند و زیر دست ایشان ذلیل گردیدند. | ۴۲ 42 |
Ands their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought down under their hands.
| بارهای بسیار ایشان راخلاصی داد. لیکن به مشورتهای خویش براو فتنه کردند و به‌سبب گناه خویش خوار گردیدند. | ۴۳ 43 |
Many a time he delivered them; but they provoked him by their counsel, and they were brought low by their iniquities.
| با وجود این، بر تنگی ایشان نظر کرد، وقتی که فریاد ایشان را شنید. | ۴۴ 44 |
You the Lord looked upon their affliction, when he heard their petition.
| و به‌خاطر ایشان، عهدخود را به یاد آورد و در کثرت رحمت خویش بازگشت نمود. | ۴۵ 45 |
And he remembered his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercy.
| و ایشان را حرمت داد، در نظرجمیع اسیرکنندگان ایشان. | ۴۶ 46 |
And he caused them to be pitied in the sight of all who carried them captive.
| ای یهوه خدای ما، ما را نجات ده! و ما را از میان امتها جمع کن! تا نام قدوس تو را حمد گوییم و در تسبیح تو فخرنماییم. | ۴۷ 47 |
Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the heathen, that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in your praise.
| یهوه خدای اسرائیل متبارک باد از ازل تا ابدالاباد. و تمامی قوم بگویند آمین. هللویاه! | ۴۸ 48 |
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting; and all the people shall say, Amen, Amen.
