| و بلعام به بالاق گفت: «در اینجا برای من هفت مذبح بساز، و هفت گاو و هفت قوچ در اینجا برایم حاضر کن.» | ۱ 1 |
Then said Balaam unto Balak: Build me here seven altars, —and prepare me here, seven bullocks and seven rams.
| و بالاق به نحوی که بلعام گفته بود به عمل آورد، و بالاق و بلعام، گاوی و قوچی بر هر مذبح گذرانیدند. | ۲ 2 |
And Balak did as Balaam had spoken, —and Balak and Balaam caused to ascend a bullock and a ram on each altar.
| و بلعام به بالاق گفت: «نزد قربانی سوختنی خود بایست، تا من بروم؛ شاید خداوند برای ملاقات من بیاید، وهر‌چه او به من نشان دهد آن را به تو باز خواهم گفت.» پس به تلی برآمد. | ۳ 3 |
Then said Balaam unto Balak: Station thyself by thine ascending-sacrifice, and let me go my way—peradventure Yahweh may come and meet me, and what thing soever he may show me, I will tell thee. So he went his way to a bare height.
| و خدا بلعام را ملاقات کرد، و او وی را گفت: «هفت مذبح برپا داشتم و گاوی و قوچی بر هرمذبح قربانی کردم.» | ۴ 4 |
And God came unto Balaam, —so he said unto him The seven altars, have I built in a row, and have caused to ascend, bullock and a ram on each altar.
| خداوند سخنی به دهان بلعام گذاشته، گفت: «نزد بالاق برگشته چنین بگو.» | ۵ 5 |
And Yahweh put a word into the mouth of Balaam, —and said—Return unto Balak, and, thus, shalt thou speak.
| پس نزد او برگشت، و اینک او با جمیع سروران موآب نزد قربانی سوختنی خود ایستاده بود. | ۶ 6 |
So he returned unto him, and lo! he was stationed by his ascending-sacrifice, —he, and all the princes of Moab.
| و مثل خود را آورده، گفت: «بالاق ملک موآب مرا از ارام از کوههای مشرق آورد، که بیایعقوب را برای من لعنت کن، و بیا اسرائیل رانفرین نما. | ۷ 7 |
So he took up his parable and said, —From Aram, doth Balak conduct me, The king of Moab, from the mountains of the East, Come thou! curse me Jacob, Yea, come thou! rage on Israel.
| چگونه لعنت کنم آن را که خدا لعنت نکرده است؟ و چگونه نفرین نمایم آن را که خداوند نفرین ننموده است؟ | ۸ 8 |
How can I revile one whom GOD hath not reviled? Yea, how can I rage on one on whom Yahweh hath not raged?
| زیرا از سرصخره‌ها او را می‌بینم. و از کوهها او را مشاهده می‌نمایم. اینک قومی است که به تنهایی ساکن می‌شود، و در میان امتها حساب نخواهد شد. | ۹ 9 |
Surely from the head of the rocks, do I see him, Yea, from the hills, do I observe him, —Lo! a people, who alone doth dwell, And among the nations, he doth not reckon himself.
| کیست که غبار یعقوب را تواند شمرد یا ربع اسرائیل را حساب نماید؟ کاش که من به وفات عادلان بمیرم و عاقبت من مثل عاقبت ایشان باشد.» | ۱۰ 10 |
Who hath counted the dust of Jacob? Or who hath numbered the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the upright, And let my hereafter be like his!
| پس بالاق به بلعام گفت: «به من چه کردی؟ تو را آوردم تا دشمنانم را لعنت کنی، و هان برکت تمام دادی!» | ۱۱ 11 |
Then said Balak unto Balaam, What hast thou done for me? To revile mine enemies, I summoned thee, and lo! thou hast kept on blessing.
| او در جواب گفت: «آیا نمی بایدباحذر باشم تا آنچه را که خداوند به دهانم گذاردبگویم؟» | ۱۲ 12 |
And he answered and said, —Was it not to be so that whatsoever Yahweh should put into my mouth, the same, should I take heed to speak?
| بالاق وی را گفت: «بیا الان همراه من به‌جای دیگر که از آنجا ایشان را توانی دید، فقطاقصای ایشان را خواهی دید، و جمیع ایشان رانخواهی دید و از آنجا ایشان را برای من لعنت کن.» | ۱۳ 13 |
Then said Balak unto him—Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see him, nothing but his utmost part, shalt thou see, but all of him, shalt thou not see, —and so revile me him from thence.
| پس او را به صحرای صوفیم، نزد قله فسجه برد و هفت مذبح بنا نموده، گاوی و قوچی بر هر مذبح قربانی کرد. | ۱۴ 14 |
And he took him to the field of Zophim, unto the head of Pisgah, —and built seven altars, and caused to ascend a bullock and a ram on each altar.
| و او به بالاق گفت: «نزدقربانی سوختنی خود، اینجا بایست تا من در آنجا(خداوند را) ملاقات نمایم.» | ۱۵ 15 |
Then said he to Balak, Station thyself here by thine ascending-sacrifice, —while, I, meet him yonder.
| و خداوند بلعام را ملاقات نموده، و سخنی در زبانش گذاشته، گفت: «نزد بالاق برگشته، چنین بگو.» | ۱۶ 16 |
And Yahweh met Balaam, and put a word into his mouth, —and said—Return unto Balak and thus shalt thou speak.
| پس نزدوی آمد، و اینک نزد قربانی سوختنی خود باسروران موآب ایستاده بود، و بالاق از او پرسیدکه «خداوند چه گفت؟» | ۱۷ 17 |
So he came in unto him and, there he was-stationed by his ascending-sacrifice, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath Yahweh spoken?
| آنگاه مثل خود راآورده، گفت: «ای بالاق برخیز و بشنو. و‌ای پسرصفور مرا گوش بگیر. | ۱۸ 18 |
Then took he up his parable and said, —Rise, Balak, and hear, Give ear unto me son of Zippor!
| خدا انسان نیست که دروغ بگوید. و از بنی آدم نیست که به اراده خودتغییر بدهد. آیا او سخنی گفته باشد و نکند؟ یاچیزی فرموده باشد و استوار ننماید؟ | ۱۹ 19 |
GOD is, not a man, that he should lie, Nor a son of Adam, that he should repent, —Hath, he, said, and will not perform? Yea spoken, and will not make it stand fast?
| اینک مامور شده‌ام که برکت بدهم. و او برکت داده است و آن را رد نمی توانم نمود. | ۲۰ 20 |
Lo! to bless, have I received [command], —And I will bless, nor will I take it back.
| او گناهی دریعقوب ندیده، و خطایی در اسرائیل مشاهده ننموده است. یهوه خدای او با وی است. و نعره پادشاه در میان ایشان است. | ۲۱ 21 |
He hath not discovered trouble in Jacob, Neither hath he seen wretchedness in Israel, —Yahweh, his God, is with him, And, the acclaim of a king, in his midst:
| خدا ایشان را ازمصر بیرون آورد. او را شاخها مثل گاو وحشی است. | ۲۲ 22 |
GOD having brought them forth out of Egypt, The very horns of the buffalo, are his:
| به درستی که بر یعقوب افسون نیست وبر اسرائیل فالگیری نی. درباره یعقوب و درباره اسرائیل در وقتش گفته خواهد شد، که خدا چه کرده است. | ۲۳ 23 |
Surely, there is no enchantment against Jacob, Nor divination against Israel, —Now, shall it be said—Of Jacob and of Israel, What hath GOD wrought!
| اینک قوم مثل شیر ماده خواهندبرخاست. و مثل شیر نر خویشتن را خواهندبرانگیخت، و تا شکار را نخورد، و خون کشتگان را ننوشد، نخواهد خوابید.» | ۲۴ 24 |
Lo, a people, like a lioness, shall rise, And like a strong lion, shall rouse himself up; He will not lie down till he eat the torn, And the blood of the slain, he drink.
| بالاق به بلعام گفت: «نه ایشان را لعنت کن ونه برکت ده.» | ۲۵ 25 |
Then said Balak unto Balaam, Thou shalt neither revile, him, —nor bless him.
| بلعام در جواب بالاق گفت: «آیاتو را نگفتم که هر‌آنچه خداوند به من گوید، آن را باید بکنم؟» | ۲۶ 26 |
And Balaam responded, and said unto Balak, —Spake I not unto thee, saying, All that Yahweh shall speak, that, must I do?
| بالاق به بلعام گفت: «بیا تا تو را به‌جای دیگر ببرم، شاید در نظر خدا پسند آید که ایشان را برای من از آنجا لعنت نمایی.» | ۲۷ 27 |
And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee! let me take thee unto another place, —peradventure, it may be right in the eyes of God, that thou revile me him. from thence.
| پس بالاق بلعام را بر قله فغور که مشرف بر بیابان است، برد. | ۲۸ 28 |
So Balak took Balaam, —unto the head of Peor, that looketh over the face of the Jeshimon.
| بلعام به بالاق گفت: «در اینجا برای من هفت مذبح بساز و هفت گاو و هفت قوچ از برایم دراینجا حاضر کن.» | ۲۹ 29 |
And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here, seven altars, —and prepare me here, seven bullocks and seven rams.
| و بالاق به طوری که بلعام گفته بود، عمل نموده، گاوی و قوچی بر هر مذبح قربانی کرد. | ۳۰ 30 |
And Balak did as Balaam said, —and caused to ascend a bullock and a ram on each altar.
