اعداد 16

۱ 1 و قورح بن یصهار بن قهات بن لاوی وداتان و ابیرام پسران الیاب و اون بن فالت پسران روبین (کسان ) گرفته،

And Korah, son of Izhar, son of Kohath, son of Levi, taketh both Dathan and Abiram sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth, sons of Reuben,

۲ 2 با بعضی ازبنی‌اسرائیل، یعنی دویست و پنجاه نفر ازسروران جماعت که برگزیدگان شورا و مردان معروف بودند، به حضور موسی برخاستند.

and they rise up before Moses, with men of the sons of Israel, two hundred and fifty, princes of the company, called of the convention, men of name,

۳ 3 و به مقابل موسی و هارون جمع شده، به ایشان گفتند: «شما از حد خود تجاوز می‌نمایید، زیرا تمامی جماعت هریک از ایشان مقدس‌اند، و خداوند درمیان ایشان است. پس چرا خویشتن را بر جماعت خداوند برمی افرازید؟»

and they are assembled against Moses and against Aaron, and say unto them, 'Enough of you! for all the company — all of them [are] holy, and in their midst [is] Jehovah; and wherefore do ye lift yourselves up above the assembly of Jehovah?'

۴ 4 و چون موسی این راشنید به روی خود درافتاد.

And Moses heareth, and falleth on his face,

۵ 5 و قورح و تمامی جمعیت او را خطاب کرده، گفت: «بامدادان خداوند نشان خواهد داد که چه کس از آن وی وچه کس مقدس است، و او را نزد خود خواهدآورد، و هرکه را برای خود برگزیده است، او رانزد خود خواهد آورد.

and he speaketh unto Korah, and unto all his company, saying, 'Morning! — and Jehovah is knowing those who are his, and him who is holy, and hath brought near unto Him; even him whom He doth fix on He bringeth near unto Him.

۶ 6 این را بکنید که مجمرهابرای خود بگیرید، ای قورح و تمامی جمعیت تو.

This do: take to yourselves censers, Korah, and all his company,

۷ 7 و آتش در آنها گذارده، فردا به حضورخداوند بخور در آنها بریزید، و آن کس که خداوند برگزیده است، مقدس خواهد شد. ای پسران لاوی شما از حد خود تجاوز می‌نمایید!»

and put in them fire, and put on them perfume, before Jehovah to-morrow, and it hath been, the man whom Jehovah chooseth, he [is] the holy one; — enough of you, sons of Levi.'

۸ 8 و موسی به قورح گفت: «ای بنی لاوی بشنوید!

And Moses saith unto Korah, 'Hear ye, I pray you, sons of Levi;

۹ 9 آیا نزد شما کم است که خدای اسرائیل شما رااز جماعت اسرائیل ممتاز کرده است، تا شما رانزد خود بیاورد تا در مسکن خداوندخدمت نمایید، و به حضور جماعت برای خدمت ایشان بایستید؟

is it little to you that the God of Israel hath separated you from the company of Israel to bring you near unto Himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of Jehovah, and to stand before the company to serve them? —

۱۰ 10 و تو را و جمیع برادرانت بنی لاوی رابا تو نزدیک آورد، و آیا کهانت را نیز می‌طلبید؟

yea, He doth bring thee near, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee — and ye have sought also the priesthood!

۱۱ 11 از این جهت تو و تمامی جمعیت تو به ضدخداوند جمع شده‌اید، و اما هارون چیست که براو همهمه می‌کنید؟»

Therefore, thou and all thy company who are met [are] against Jehovah; and Aaron, what [is] he, that ye murmur against him?'

۱۲ 12 و موسی فرستاد تا داتان و ابیرام پسران الیاب را بخواند، و ایشان گفتند: «نمی آییم!

And Moses sendeth to call for Dathan and for Abiram sons of Eliab, and they say, 'We do not come up;

۱۳ 13 آیاکم است که ما را از زمینی که به شیر و شهد جاری است، بیرون آوردی تا ما را در صحرا نیز هلاک سازی که می‌خواهی خود را بر ما حکمران سازی؟

is it little that thou hast brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to put us to death in a wilderness that thou also certainly makest thyself prince over us?

۱۴ 14 و ما را هم به زمینی که به شیر و شهدجاری است درنیاوردی و ملکیتی از مزرعه‌ها وتاکستانها به ما ندادی. آیا چشمان این مردمان رامی کنی؟ نخواهیم آمد!»

Yea, unto a land flowing with milk and honey thou hast not brought us in, nor dost thou give to us an inheritance of field and vineyard; the eyes of these men dost thou pick out? we do not come up.'

۱۵ 15 و موسی بسیار خشمناک شده، به خداوندگفت: «هدیه ایشان را منظور منما، یک خر ازایشان نگرفتم، و به یکی از ایشان زیان نرساندم.»

And it is very displeasing to Moses, and he saith unto Jehovah, 'Turn not Thou unto their present; not one ass from them have I taken, nor have I afflicted one of them.'

۱۶ 16 و موسی به قورح گفت: «تو با تمامی جمعیت خود فردا به حضور خداوند حاضر شوید، تو وایشان و هارون.

And Moses saith unto Korah, 'Thou and all thy company, be ye before Jehovah, thou, and they, and Aaron, to-morrow;

۱۷ 17 و هر کس مجمر خود راگرفته، بخور بر آنها بگذارد و شما هر کس مجمرخود، یعنی دویست و پنجاه مجمر به حضورخداوند بیاورید، تو نیز و هارون هر یک مجمرخود را بیاورید.»

and take ye each his censer, and ye have put on them perfume, and brought near before Jehovah, each his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; and thou and Aaron, each his censer.'

۱۸ 18 پس هر کس مجمر خود راگرفته، و آتش در آنها نهاده، و بخور بر آنهاگذارده، نزد دروازه خیمه اجتماع، با موسی وهارون ایستادند.

And they take each his censer, and put on them fire, and lay on them perfume, and they stand at the opening of the tent of meeting, with Moses and Aaron.

۱۹ 19 و قورح تمامی جماعت را به مقابل ایشان نزد در خیمه اجتماع جمع کرد، وجلال خداوند بر تمامی جماعت ظاهرشد.

And Korah assembleth against them all the company unto the opening of the tent of meeting, and the honour of Jehovah is seen by all the company.

۲۰ 20 و خداوند موسی و هارون را خطاب کرده، گفت:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

۲۱ 21 «خود را از این جماعت دور کنید تاایشان را در لحظه‌ای هلاک کنم.»

'Be ye separated from the midst of this company, and I consume them in a moment;'

۲۲ 22 پس ایشان به روی در‌افتاده، گفتند: «ای خدا که خدای روحهای تمام بشر هستی، آیا یک نفر گناه ورزد وبر تمام جماعت غضبناک شوی؟»

and they fall on their faces, and say, 'God, God of the spirits of all flesh — the one man sinneth, and against all the company Thou art wroth!'

۲۳ 23 و خداوند موسی را خطاب کرده، گفت:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

۲۴ 24 «جماعت را خطاب کرده، بگو از اطراف مسکن قورح و داتان و ابیرام دور شوید.»

'Speak unto the company, saying, Go ye up from round about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.'

۲۵ 25 پس موسی برخاسته، نزد داتان و ابیرام رفت و مشایخ اسرائیل در عقب وی رفتند.

And Moses riseth, and goeth unto Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel go after him,

۲۶ 26 و جماعت راخطاب کرده، گفت: «از نزد خیمه های این مردمان شریر دور شوید، و چیزی را که از آن ایشان است لمس منمایید، مبادا در همه گناهان ایشان هلاک شوید.»

and he speaketh unto the company, saying, 'Turn aside, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and come not against anything that they have, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.'

۲۷ 27 پس از اطراف مسکن قورح و داتان وابیرام دور شدند، و داتان و ابیرام بیرون آمده، بازنان و پسران و اطفال خود به در خیمه های خودایستادند.

And they go up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan and Abiram, from round about, and Dathan, and Abiram have come out, standing at the opening of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their infants.

۲۸ 28 و موسی گفت: «از این خواهیددانست که خداوند مرا فرستاده است تا همه این کارها را بکنم و به اراده من نبوده است.

And Moses saith, 'By this ye do know that Jehovah hath sent me to do all these works, that [they are] not from my own heart;

۲۹ 29 اگر این کسان مثل موت سایر بنی آدم بمیرند و اگر مثل وقایع جمیع بنی آدم بر ایشان واقع شود، خداوندمرا نفرستاده است.

if according to the death of all men these die — or the charge of all men is charged upon them — Jehovah hath not sent me;

۳۰ 30 و اما اگر خداوند چیزتازه‌ای بنماید و زمین دهان خود را گشاده، ایشان را با جمیع مایملک ایشان ببلعد که به گور زنده فرود روند، آنگاه بدانید که این مردمان خداوند رااهانت نموده‌اند.» (Sheol h7585)

and if a strange thing Jehovah do, and the ground hath opened her mouth and swallowed them, and all that they have, and they have gone down alive to Sheol — then ye have known that these men have despised Jehovah.' (Sheol h7585)

۳۱ 31 و چون از گفتن همه این سخنان فارغ شد، زمینی که زیر ایشان بود، شکافته شد.

And it cometh to pass at his finishing speaking all these words, that the ground which [is] under them cleaveth,

۳۲ 32 و زمین دهان خود را گشوده، ایشان را و خانه های ایشان و همه کسان را که تعلق به قورح داشتند، با تمامی اموال ایشان بلعید.

and the earth openeth her mouth, and swalloweth them, and their houses, and all the men who [are] for Korah, and all the goods,

۳۳ 33 و ایشان با هرچه به ایشان تعلق داشت، زنده به گور فرورفتند، و زمین برایشان به هم آمد که از میان جماعت هلاک شدند. (Sheol h7585)

and they go down, they, and all that they have, alive to Sheol, and the earth closeth over them, and they perish from the midst of the assembly; (Sheol h7585)

۳۴ 34 و جمیع اسرائیلیان که به اطراف ایشان بودند، از نعره ایشان گریختند، زیرا گفتند مبادا زمین ما رانیز ببلعد.

and all Israel who [are] round about them have fled at their voice, for they said, 'Lest the earth swallow us;'

۳۵ 35 و آتش از حضور خداوند بدر‌آمده، دویست و پنجاه نفر را که بخور می‌گذرانیدند، سوزانید.

and fire hath come out from Jehovah, and consumeth the two hundred and fifty men bringing near the perfume.

۳۶ 36 و خداوند موسی را خطاب کرده، گفت:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

۳۷ 37 «به العازار بن هارون کاهن بگو که مجمرها را ازمیان آتش بردار، و آتش را به آن طرف بپاش زیراکه آنها مقدس است.

'Say unto Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, and he lifteth up the censers from the midst of the burning, and the fire scatter thou yonder, for they have been hallowed,

۳۸ 38 یعنی مجمرهای این گناهکاران را به ضد جان ایشان و از آنها تختهای پهن برای پوشش مذبح بسازند، زیرا چونکه آنهارا به حضور خداوند گذرانیده‌اند مقدس شده است، تا برای بنی‌اسرائیل آیتی باشد.»

[even] the censers of these sinners against their own souls; and they have made them spread-out plates, a covering for the altar, for they have brought them near before Jehovah, and they are hallowed; and they are become a sign to the sons of Israel.'

۳۹ 39 پس العازار کاهن مجمرهای برنجین را که سوخته شدگان گذرانیده بودند گرفته، از آنها پوشش مذبح ساختند.

And Eleazar the priest taketh the brazen censers which they who are burnt had brought near, and they spread them out, a covering for the altar —

۴۰ 40 تا برای بنی‌اسرائیل یادگارباشد تا هیچ غریبی که از اولاد هارون نباشدبجهت سوزانیدن بخور به حضور خداوند نزدیک نیاید، مبادا مثل قورح و جمعیتش بشود، چنانکه خداوند به واسطه موسی او را امر فرموده بود.

a memorial to the sons of Israel, so that a stranger who is not of the seed of Aaron doth not draw near to make a perfume before Jehovah, and is not as Korah, and as his company, — as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses to him.

۴۱ 41 و در فردای آن روز تمامی جماعت بنی‌اسرائیل بر موسی و هارون همهمه کرده، گفتند که شما قوم خداوند را کشتید.

And all the company of the sons of Israel murmur, on the morrow, against Moses and against Aaron, saying, 'Ye — ye have put to death the people of Jehovah.'

۴۲ 42 و چون جماعت بر موسی و هارون جمع شدند، به سوی خیمه اجتماع نگریستند، و اینک ابر آن راپوشانید و جلال خداوند ظاهر شد.

And it cometh to pass, in the company being assembled against Moses and against Aaron, that they turn towards the tent of meeting, and lo, the cloud hath covered it, and the honour of Jehovah is seen;

۴۳ 43 و موسی وهارون پیش خیمه اجتماع آمدند.

and Moses cometh — Aaron also — unto the front of the tent of meeting.

۴۴ 44 و خداوندموسی را خطاب کرده، گفت:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

۴۵ 45 «از میان این جماعت دور شوید تا ایشان را ناگهان هلاک سازم.» و ایشان به روی خود درافتادند.

'Get you up from the midst of this company, and I consume them in a moment;' and they fall on their faces,

۴۶ 46 و موسی به هارون گفت: «مجمر خود راگرفته، آتش از روی مذبح در آن بگذار، و بخور برآن بریز، و به زودی به سوی جماعت رفته، برای ایشان کفاره کن، زیرا غضب از حضور خداوندبرآمده، و وبا شروع شده است.»

and Moses saith unto Aaron, 'Take the censer, and put on it fire from off the altar, and place perfume, and go, hasten unto the company, and make atonement for them, for the wrath hath gone out from the presence of Jehovah — the plague hath begun.'

۴۷ 47 پس هارون به نحوی که موسی گفته بود آن را گرفته، در میان جماعت دوید و اینک وبا در میان قوم شروع شده بود، پس بخور را بریخت و بجهت قوم کفاره نمود.

And Aaron taketh as Moses hath spoken, and runneth unto the midst of the assembly, and lo, the plague hath begun among the people; and he giveth the perfume, and maketh atonement for the people,

۴۸ 48 و او در میان مردگان و زندگان ایستاد ووبا بازداشته شد.

and standeth between the dead and the living, and the plague is restrained;

۴۹ 49 و عدد کسانی که از وبا مردندچهارده هزار و هفتصد بود، سوای آنانی که درحادثه قورح هلاک شدند.

and those who die by the plague are fourteen thousand and seven hundred, apart from those who die for the matter of Korah;

۵۰ 50 پس هارون نزدموسی به در خیمه اجتماع برگشت و وبا رفع شد.

and Aaron turneth back unto Moses, unto the opening of the tent of meeting, and the plague hath been restrained.
