۱ 1 القوشی.

[the] oracle of Nineveh [the] document of [the] vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

۲ 2 یهوه خدای غیور و انتقام گیرنده است. خداوند انتقام گیرنده و صاحب غضب است. خداوند از دشمنان خویش انتقام می‌گیرد و برای خصمان خود خشم را نگاه می‌دارد.

[is] a God Jealous and avenging Yahweh [is] avenging Yahweh and a lord of rage [is] avenging Yahweh to opponents his and [is] maintaining he to enemies his.

۳ 3 خداونددیرغضب و عظیم القوت است و گناه را هرگزبی سزا نمی گذارد. راه خداوند در تند باد و طوفان است و ابرها خاک پای او می‌باشد.

Yahweh [is] long of anger (and great of *Q(K)*) power and certainly not he will leave unpunished Yahweh [is] in storm-wind and in storm way his and [is] cloud [the] dust of feet his.

۴ 4 دریا را عتاب می‌کند و آن را می‌خشکاند و جمیع نهرها راخشک می‌سازد. باشان و کرمل کاهیده می‌شوند وگل لبنان پژمرده می‌گردد.

[he is] rebuking the Sea and he made dry it and all the rivers he dries up it withers Bashan and Carmel and [the] blossom of Lebanon it withers.

۵ 5 کوهها از او متزلزل وتلها گداخته می‌شوند و جهان از حضور وی متحرک می‌گردد و ربع مسکون و جمیع ساکنانش.

Mountains they quake from him and the hills they melt and it lifted up the earth from before him and [the] world and all [those who] dwell in it.

۶ 6 پیش خشم وی که تواند ایستاد؟ و درحدت غضب او که تواند برخاست؟ غضب او مثل آتش ریخته می‌شود و صخره‌ها از او خردمی گردد.

Before indignation his who? will he stand and who? will he endure at [the] burning of anger his rage his it is poured out like fire and the rocks they are pulled down from him.

۷ 7 خداوند نیکو است و در روز تنگی ملجا می‌باشد و متوکلان خود را می‌شناسد.

[is] good Yahweh a refuge in a day of trouble and [he is] knowing [those who] take refuge in him.

۸ 8 و به سیل سرشار، مکان آن را بالکل خراب خواهدساخت و تاریکی دشمنان او را تعاقب خواهدنمود.

And with a flood [which] passes over complete destruction he will make place its and enemies his he will pursue darkness.

۹ 9 کدام تدبیر را به ضد خداوند توانید نمود؟ او دفعه هلاک خواهد کرد و مصیبت دفعه دیگر برپا نخواهد شد.

Whatever you will plot! against Yahweh complete destruction he [will be] making not it will arise two times trouble.

۱۰ 10 زیرا اگرچه مثل خارها بهم پیچیده و مانند می‌گساران مست بشوند، لیکن چون کاه خشک بالکل سوخته خواهند شد.

For to thorns interwoven and like drink their drunkards they will be consumed like stubble dry full.

۱۱ 11 مشیر بلیعال که به ضد خداوند بد می‌اندیشد، از تو بیرون آمده است.

From you he has come out [one who] plots on Yahweh evil a counselor of worthlessness.

۱۲ 12 خداوند چنین می‌گوید: «اگرچه ایشان درقوت سالم و در شماره نیز بسیار باشند لیکن منقطع شده، در خواهند گذشت. و اگر‌چه تو راذلیل ساختم، لیکن بار دیگر تو را ذلیل نخواهم نمود.

Thus - he says Yahweh though complete and thus numerous and thus they will be cut down and he will pass away and I have afflicted you not I will afflict you again.

۱۳ 13 و الان یوغ او را از گردن تو خواهم شکست و بندهای تو را خواهم گسیخت.»

And now I will break yoke-bar his from on you and fetters your I will tear apart.

۱۴ 14 وخداوند درباره تو امر فرموده است که بار دیگرذریتی به نام تو نخواهد بود و از خانه خدایانت بتهای تراشیده و اصنام ریخته شده را منقطع خواهم نمود و قبر تو را خواهم ساخت زیرا خوارشده‌ای.

And he has commanded on you Yahweh not it will be sown from name your again from [the] house of gods your I will cut off idol and molten image I will make grave your for you are insignificant.

۱۵ 15 اینک بر کوهها پایهای مبشر که سلامتی را ندا می‌کند! ای یهودا عیدهای خود رانگاه دار و نذرهای خود را وفا کن زیرا که مردبلیعال بار دیگر از تو نخواهد گذشت بلکه بالکل منقطع خواهد شد.

There! on the mountains [the] feet of [one who] bears news [one who] proclaims peace celebrate a festival O Judah festivals your pay vows your for not he will repeat again (to pass *Q(k)*) in you a worthless person all of him it will be cut off.
