ملاکی 1

۱ 1 واسطه ملاکی.

The burden of the woorde of the Lord to Israel by the ministerie of Malachi.

۲ 2 خداوند می‌گوید که شما را دوست داشته‌ام. اما شما می‌گویید: چگونه ما را دوست داشته‌ای؟ آیا عیسو برادر یعقوب نبود و خداوند می‌گویدکه یعقوب را دوست داشتم،

I haue loued you, sayth the Lord: yet yee say, Wherein hast thou loued vs? Was not Esau Iaakobs brother, saith the Lord? yet I loued Iaakob,

۳ 3 و از عیسو نفرت نمودم و کوههای او را ویران و میراث وی رانصیب شغالهای بیابان گردانیدم.

And I hated Esau, and made his mountaines wast, and his heritage a wildernes for dragons.

۴ 4 چونکه ادوم می‌گوید: منهدم شده‌ایم اما خواهیم برگشت ومخروبه‌ها را بنا خواهیم نمود. یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌فرماید: ایشان بنا خواهند نمود اما من منهدم خواهم ساخت و ایشان را به‌سرحدشرارت و به قومی که خداوند بر ایشان تا به ابدغضبناک می‌باشد مسمی خواهند ساخت.

Though Edom say, wee are impouerished, but we will returne and build the desolate places, yet sayeth the Lord of hostes, they shall builde, but I will destroy it, and they shall call them, The border of wickednes, and the people, with whome the Lord is angrie for euer.

۵ 5 وچون چشمان شما این را بیند خواهید گفت: خداوند از حدود اسرائیل متعظم باد!

And your eyes shall see it, and yee shall say, The Lord will be magnified vpon the border of Israel.

۶ 6 پسر، پدر خود و غلام، آقای خویش رااحترام می‌نماید. پس اگر من پدر هستم احترام من کجا است؟ و اگر من آقا هستم هیبت من کجااست؟ یهوه صبایوت به شما تکلم می‌کند. ای کاهنانی که اسم مرا حقیر می‌شمارید و می‌گویید چگونه اسم تو را حقیر شمرده‌ایم؟

A sonne honoureth his father, and a seruant his master. If then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my feare, sayth the Lord of hostes vnto you, O Priestes, that despise my Name? and yee say, Wherein haue we despised thy Name?

۷ 7 نان نجس برمذبح من می‌گذرانید و می‌گویید چگونه تو رابی حرمت نموده‌ایم؟ از اینکه می‌گویید خوان خداوند محقر است.

Ye offer vncleane bread vpon mine altar, and you say, Wherein haue we polluted thee? In that ye say the table of the Lord is not to be regarded.

۸ 8 و چون کور را برای قربانی می‌گذرانید، آیا قبیح نیست؟ و چون لنگ یا بیماررا می‌گذرانید، آیا قبیح نیست؟ آن را به حاکم خود هدیه بگذران و آیا او از تو راضی خواهدشد یا تو را مقبول خواهد داشت؟ قول یهوه صبایوت این است.

And if yee offer the blinde for sacrifice, it is not euill: and if ye offer the lame and sicke, it is not euill: offer it nowe vnto thy prince: will he be content with thee, or accept thy person, saieth the Lord of hostes?

۹ 9 و الان از خدا مسالت نما تابر ما ترحم نماید. یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید این ازدست شما واقع شده است، پس آیا هیچ کدام ازشما را مستجاب خواهد فرمود؟

And nowe, I pray you, pray before God, that he may haue mercie vpon vs: this hath beene by your meanes: will hee regard your persons, sayth the Lord of hostes?

۱۰ 10 کاش که یکی از شما می‌بود که درها راببندد تا آتش بر مذبح من بیجا نیفروزید. یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید: در شما هیچ خوشی ندارم وهیچ هدیه از دست شما قبول نخواهم کرد.

Who is there euen among you, that would shut the doores? and kindle not fire on mine altar in vaine, I haue no pleasure in you, sayeth the Lord of hostes, neither will I accept an offering at your hande.

۱۱ 11 زیرا که از مطلع آفتاب تا مغربش اسم من درمیان امت‌ها عظیم خواهد بود؛ و بخور و هدیه طاهر در هر جا به اسم من گذرانیده خواهد شد، زیرا یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید که اسم من در میان امت‌ها عظیم خواهد بود. و بخور و هدیه طاهر درهر جا به اسم من گذرانیده خواهد شد، زیرا یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید که اسم من در میان امت هاعظیم خواهد بود.

For from the rising of the sunne vnto the going downe of the same, my Name is great among the Gentiles, and in euery place incense shalbe offred vnto my Name, and a pure offering: for my Name is great among the heathen, sayeth the Lord of hostes.

۱۲ 12 اما شما آن را بی‌حرمت می‌سازید چونکه می‌گویید که خوان خداوند نجس است و ثمره آن یعنی طعامش محقر است.

But ye haue polluted it, in that ye say, The table of the Lord is polluted and the fruit thereof, euen his meat is not to be regarded.

۱۳ 13 و یهوه صبایوت می‌فرماید که شما می‌گوییداینک این چه زحمت است و آن را اهانت می‌کنیدو چون (حیوانات ) دریده شده و لنگ و بیمار راآورده، آنها را برای هدیه می‌گذرانید آیا من آنهارا از دست شما قبول خواهم کرد؟ قول خداونداین است.

Ye said also, Beholde, it is a wearines, and ye haue snuffed at it, sayth the Lord of hostes, and ye offred that which was torne, and the lame and the sicke: thus yee offred an offring: shoulde I accept this of your hand, sayth the Lord?

۱۴ 14 پس ملعون باد هر‌که فریب دهد و باآنکه نرینه‌ای در گله خود دارد معیوبی برای خداوند نذر کرده، آن را ذبح نماید. زیرا که یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید: من پادشاه عظیم می‌باشم واسم من در میان امت‌ها مهیب خواهد بود.

But cursed be the deceiuer, which hath in his flocke a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth vnto ye Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, sayth the Lord of hostes, and my Name is terrible among the heathen.
