| و در آن ایام در اسرائیل پادشاهی نبود، و در آن روزها سبط دان، ملکی برای سکونت خود طلب می‌کردند، زیرا تا در آن روزملک ایشان در میان اسباط اسرائیل به ایشان نرسیده بود. | ۱ 1 |
In those days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought for themselves an inheritance to dwell in; for to that day all their inheritance had not fallen to them among the tribes of Israel.
| و پسران دان از قبیله خویش پنج نفر از جماعت خود که مردان جنگی بودند ازصرعه و اشتاول فرستادند تا زمین را جاسوسی وتفحص نمایند، و به ایشان گفتند: «بروید و زمین را تفحص کنید.» پس ایشان به کوهستان افرایم به خانه میخا آمده، در آنجا منزل گرفتند. | ۲ 2 |
And the children of Dan sent of their family five men from their land, men of valour, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land, and to search it; and they said to them, Go, search the land: who when they came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah, they lodged there.
| و چون ایشان نزد خانه میخا رسیدند، آواز جوان لاوی راشناختند و به آنجا برگشته، او را گفتند: «کیست که تو را به اینجا آورده است و در این مکان چه می‌کنی و در اینجا چه داری؟» | ۳ 3 |
When they were by the house of Micah, they knew the voice of the young man the Levite: and they turned in there, and said to him, Who brought thee here? and what makest thou in this place? and what hast thou here?
| او به ایشان گفت: «میخا با من چنین و چنان رفتار نموده است، و مرااجیر گرفته، کاهن او شده‌ام.» | ۴ 4 |
And he said to them, Thus and thus dealeth Micah with me, and hath hired me, and I am his priest.
| وی را گفتند: «ازخدا سوال کن تا بدانیم آیا راهی که در آن می‌رویم خیر خواهد بود.» | ۵ 5 |
And they said to him, Ask counsel, we pray thee, of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous.
| کاهن به ایشان گفت: «به سلامتی بروید. راهی که شما می‌روید منظورخداوند است.» | ۶ 6 |
And the priest said to them, Go in peace: before the LORD is your way in which ye go.
| پس آن پنج مرد روانه شده، به لایش رسیدند. و خلقی را که در آن بودند، دیدند که درامنیت و به رسم صیدونیان در اطمینان و امنیت ساکن بودند. و در آن زمین صاحب اقتداری نبودکه اذیت رساند و از صیدونیان دور بوده، با کسی کار نداشتند. | ۷ 7 |
Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were in it, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man.
| پس نزد برادران خود به صرعه واشتاول آمدند. و برادران ایشان به ایشان گفتند: «چه خبر دارید؟» | ۸ 8 |
And they came to their brethren to Zorah and Eshtaol: and their brethren said to them, What say ye?
| گفتند: «برخیزیم و بر ایشان هجوم آوریم، زیرا که زمین را دیده‌ایم که اینک بسیار خوب است، و شما خاموش هستید، پس کاهلی مورزید بلکه رفته، داخل شوید و زمین رادر تصرف آورید. | ۹ 9 |
And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.
| و چون داخل شوید به قوم مطمئن خواهید رسید، و زمین بسیار وسیع است، و خدا آن را به‌دست شما داده است، و آن جایی است که از هرچه در جهان است، باقی ندارد.» | ۱۰ 10 |
When ye go, ye shall come to a people secure, and to a large land: for God hath given it into your hands; a place where there is no want of any thing that is on the earth.
| پس ششصد نفر از قبیله دان مسلح شده، به آلات جنگ از آنجا یعنی از صرعه و اشتاول روانه شدند. | ۱۱ 11 |
And there went from there of the family of the Danites, out of Zorah and out of Eshtaol, six hundred men appointed with weapons of war.
| و برآمده، در قریه یعاریم دریهودا اردو زدند. لهذا تا امروز آن مکان را محنه دان می‌خوانند و اینک در پشت قریه یعاریم است. | ۱۲ 12 |
And they went up, and encamped in Kirjathjearim, in Judah: therefore they called that place Mahanehdan to this day: behold, it is behind Kirjathjearim.
| و از آنجا به کوهستان افرایم گذشته، به خانه میخا رسیدند. | ۱۳ 13 |
And they passed from there to mount Ephraim, and came to the house of Micah.
| و آن پنج نفر که برای جاسوسی زمین لایش رفته بودند، برادران خود را خطاب کرده، گفتند: «آیا می‌دانید که در این خانه‌ها ایفود و ترافیم وتمثال تراشیده و تمثال ریخته شده‌ای هست؟ پس الان فکر کنید که چه باید بکنید.» | ۱۴ 14 |
Then answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said to their brethren, Do ye know that there is in these houses an ephod, and teraphim, and a graven image, and a molten image? now therefore consider what ye have to do.
| پس به آنسو برگشته، به خانه جوان لاوی، یعنی به خانه میخا آمده، سلامتی او را پرسیدند. | ۱۵ 15 |
And they turned aside there, and came to the house of the young man the Levite, even to the house of Micah, and greeted him.
| و آن ششصد مرد مسلح شده، به آلات جنگ که ازپسران دان بودند، در دهنه دروازه ایستاده بودند. | ۱۶ 16 |
And the six hundred men appointed with their weapons of war, who were of the children of Dan, stood by the entrance of the gate.
| و آن پنج نفر که برای جاسوسی زمین رفته بودند برآمده، به آنجا داخل شدند، و تمثال تراشیده و ایفود و ترافیم و تمثال ریخته شده راگرفتند، و کاهن با آن ششصد مرد مسلح شده، به آلات جنگ به دهنه دروازه ایستاده بود. | ۱۷ 17 |
And the five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in there, and took the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and the priest stood in the entrance of the gate with the six hundred men that were appointed with weapons of war.
| وچون آنها به خانه میخا داخل شده، تمثال تراشیده و ایفود و ترافیم و تمثال ریخته شده راگرفتند، کاهن به ایشان گفت: «چه می‌کنید؟» | ۱۸ 18 |
And these went into Micah’s house, and brought the carved image, the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image. Then said the priest to them, What do ye?
| ایشان به وی گفتند: «خاموش شده، دست را بر دهانت بگذار و همراه ما آمده، برای ما پدر وکاهن باش. کدام برایت بهتر است که کاهن خانه یک شخص باشی یا کاهن سبطی و قبیله‌ای دراسرائیل شوی؟» | ۱۹ 19 |
And they said to him, Hold thy peace, lay thy hand upon thy mouth, and go with us, and be to us a father and a priest: is it better for thee to be a priest to the house of one man, or that thou shouldest be a priest to a tribe and a family in Israel?
| پس دل کاهن شاد گشت. وایفود و ترافیم و تمثال تراشیده را گرفته، در میان قوم داخل شد. | ۲۰ 20 |
And the priest’s heart was glad, and he took the ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and went in the midst of the people.
| پس متوجه شده، روانه شدند، و اطفال ومواشی و اسباب را پیش روی خود قرار دادند. | ۲۱ 21 |
So they turned and departed, and put the little ones and the cattle and the possessions before them.
| و چون ایشان از خانه میخا دور شدند، مردانی که در خانه های اطراف خانه میخا بودند جمع شده، بنی دان را تعاقب نمودند. | ۲۲ 22 |
And when they were a good way from the house of Micah, the men that were in the houses near to Micah’s house were gathered together, and overtook the children of Dan.
| و بنی دان راصدا زدند، و ایشان رو برگردانیده، به میخا گفتند: «تو را چه شده است که با این جمعیت آمده‌ای؟» | ۲۳ 23 |
And they cried to the children of Dan. And they turned their faces, and said to Micah, What aileth thee, that thou comest with such a company?
| او گفت: «خدایان مرا که ساختم با کاهن گرفته، رفته‌اید؛ و مرا دیگر‌چه چیز باقی است؟ پس چگونه به من می‌گویید که تو را چه شده است؟» | ۲۴ 24 |
And he said, Ye have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and ye have gone away: and what have I more? and what is this that ye say to me, What aileth thee?
| و پسران دان او را گفتند: «آواز تو در میان ماشنیده نشود مبادا مردان تند خو بر شما هجوم آورند، و جان خود را با جانهای اهل خانه ات هلاک سازی.» | ۲۵ 25 |
And the children of Dan said to him, Let not thy voice be heard among us, lest angry fellows rush upon thee, and thou lose thy life, with the lives of thy household.
| و بنی دان راه خود را پیش گرفتند. و چون میخا دید که ایشان از او قوی ترند، رو گردانیده، به خانه خود برگشت. | ۲۶ 26 |
And the children of Dan departed: and when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back to his house.
| و ایشان آنچه میخا ساخته بود و کاهنی راکه داشت برداشته، به لایش بر قومی که آرام ومطمئن بودند، برآمدند، و ایشان را به دم شمشیرکشته، شهر را به آتش سوزانیدند. | ۲۷ 27 |
And they took the things which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came to Laish, to a people that were at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city with fire.
| و رهاننده‌ای نبود زیرا که از صیدون دور بود و ایشان را با کسی معامله‌ای نبود و آن شهر در وادی‌ای که نزدبیت رحوب است، واقع بود. پس شهر را بنا کرده، در آن ساکن شدند. | ۲۸ 28 |
And there was no deliverer, because it was far from Zidon, and they had no business with any man; and it was in the valley that lieth by Bethrehob. And they built a city, and dwelt in it.
| و شهر را به اسم پدر خود، دان که برای اسرائیل زاییده شد، دان نامیدند. امااسم شهر قبل از آن لایش بود. | ۲۹ 29 |
And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel: but the name of the city was Laish at the first.
| و بنی دان آن تمثال تراشیده را برای خود نصب کردند ویهوناتان بن جرشوم بن موسی و پسرانش تا روزاسیر شدن اهل زمین، کهنه بنی دان می‌بودند. | ۳۰ 30 |
And the children of Dan set up the graven image: and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, he and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land.
| پس تمثال تراشیده میخا را که ساخته بودتمامی روزهایی که خانه خدا در شیلوه بود، برای خود نصب نمودند. | ۳۱ 31 |
And they set up for themselves Micah’s graven image, which he made, all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh.
