یونس 2
| و یونس از شکم ماهی نزد یهوه خدای خود دعا نمود | ۱ 1 |
Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
| و گفت: «در تنگی خودخداوند را خواندم و مرا مستجاب فرمود. ازشکم هاویه تضرع نمودم و آواز مرا شنیدی. (Sheol h7585) | ۲ 2 |
And said, I cried by reason of my affliction to the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, [and] thou heardst my voice. (Sheol h7585)
| زیرا که مرا به ژرفی در دل دریاها انداختی وسیلها مرا احاطه نمود. جمیع خیزابها و موجهای تو بر من گذشت. | ۳ 3 |
For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods encompassed me: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
| و من گفتم از پیش چشم توانداخته شدم. لیکن هیکل قدس تو را باز خواهم دید. | ۴ 4 |
Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again towards thy holy temple.
| آبها مرا تا به‌جان احاطه نمود و لجه دورمرا گرفت و علف دریا بسر من پیچیده شد. | ۵ 5 |
The waters encompassed me, [even] to the soul: the depth inclosed me on every side, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
| به بنیان کوهها فرود رفتم و زمین به بندهای خود تا به ابد مرا در‌گرفت. اما تو‌ای یهوه خدایم حیات مرااز حفره برآوردی. | ۶ 6 |
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars [was] about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
| چون جان من در اندرونم بی‌تاب شد، خداوند را بیاد آوردم و دعای من نزدتو به هیکل قدست رسید. | ۷ 7 |
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came to thee, into thy holy temple.
| آنانی که اباطیل دروغ را منظور می‌دارند، احسان های خویش را ترک می‌نمایند. | ۸ 8 |
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
| اما من به آواز تشکر برای تو قربانی خواهم گذرانید، و به آنچه نذر کردم وفا خواهم نمود. نجات از آن خداوند است.» | ۹ 9 |
But I will sacrifice to thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay [that] which I have vowed. Salvation [is] of the LORD.
| پس خداوند ماهی را امر فرمود و یونس را بر خشکی قی کرد. | ۱۰ 10 |
And the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry [land].
