یوحنا 17

۱ 1 عیسی چون این را گفت، چشمان خودرا به طرف آسمان بلند کرده، گفت: «ای پدر ساعت رسیده است. پسر خود را جلال بده تاپسرت نیز تو را جلال دهد.

When Jesus had thus spoken, He raised his eyes towards Heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Thy Son that the Son may glorify Thee;

۲ 2 همچنان‌که او را برهر بشری قدرت داده‌ای تا هر‌چه بدو داده‌ای به آنها حیات جاودانی بخشد. (aiōnios g166)

even as Thou hast given Him authority over all mankind, so that on all whom Thou hast given Him He may bestow the Life of the Ages. (aiōnios g166)

۳ 3 و حیات جاودانی‌این است که تو را خدای واحد حقیقی و عیسی مسیح را که فرستادی بشناسند. (aiōnios g166)

And in this consists the Life of the Ages--in knowing Thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent. (aiōnios g166)

۴ 4 من بر روی زمین تو را جلال دادم و کاری را که به من سپردی تابکنم، به‌کمال رسانیدم.

I have glorified Thee on earth, having done perfectly the work which by Thine appointment has been mine to do.

۵ 5 و الان تو‌ای پدر مرا نزدخود جلال ده، به همان جلالی که قبل از آفرینش جهان نزد تو داشتم.

And now, Father, do Thou glorify me in Thine own presence, with the glory that I had in Thy presence before the world existed.

۶ 6 «اسم تو را به آن مردمانی که از جهان به من عطا کردی ظاهر ساختم. از آن تو بودند و ایشان را به من دادی و کلام تو را نگاه داشتند.

"I have revealed Thy perfections to the men whom Thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and Thou gavest them to me, and they have obeyed Thy message.

۷ 7 و الان دانستند آنچه به من داده‌ای از نزد تو می‌باشد.

Now they know that whatever Thou hast given me is from Thee.

۸ 8 زیرا کلامی را که به من سپردی، بدیشان سپردم و ایشان قبول کردند و از روی یقین دانستند که ازنزد تو بیرون آمدم و ایمان آوردند که تو مرافرستادی.

For the truths which Thou didst teach me I have taught them. And they have received them, and have known for certain that I came out from Thy presence, and have believed that Thou didst send me.

۹ 9 من بجهت اینها سوال می‌کنم و برای جهان سوال نمی کنم، بلکه از برای کسانی که به من داده‌ای، زیرا که از آن تو می‌باشند.

"I am making request for them: for the world I do not make any request, but for those whom Thou hast given me. Because they are Thine,

۱۰ 10 و آنچه ازآن من است از آن تو است و آنچه از آن تو است از آن من است و در آنها جلال یافته‌ام.

and everything that is mine is Thine, and everything that is Thine is mine; and I am crowned with glory in them.

۱۱ 11 بعد از این در جهان نیستم اما اینها در جهان هستند و من نزدتو می‌آیم. ای پدر قدوس اینها را که به من داده‌ای، به اسم خود نگاه دار تا یکی باشندچنانکه ما هستیم.

I am now no longer in the world, but they are in the world and I am coming to Thee. "Holy Father, keep them true to Thy name--the name which Thou hast given me to bear--that they may be one, even as we are.

۱۲ 12 مادامی که با ایشان در جهان بودم، من ایشان را به اسم تو نگاه داشتم، و هر کس را که به من داده‌ای حفظ نمودم که یکی از ایشان هلاک نشد، مگر پسر هلاکت تا کتاب تمام شود.

While I was with them, I kept them true to Thy name--the name Thou hast given me to bear--and I kept watch over them, and not one of them is lost but only he who is doomed to destruction--that the Scripture may be fulfilled.

۱۳ 13 و اما الان نزد تو می‌آیم. و این را در جهان می‌گویم تا خوشی مرا در خود کامل داشته باشند.

"But now I am coming to Thee, and I speak these words while I am in the world, in order that they may have my gladness within them filling their hearts.

۱۴ 14 من کلام تو را به ایشان دادم و جهان ایشان رادشمن داشت زیرا که از جهان نیستند، همچنان‌که من نیز از جهان نیستم.

I have given them Thy Message, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.

۱۵ 15 خواهش نمی کنم که ایشان را از جهان ببری، بلکه تا ایشان را از شریرنگاه داری.

I do not ask that Thou wilt remove them out of the world, but that Thou wilt protect them from the Evil one.

۱۶ 16 ایشان از جهان نیستند چنانکه من از جهان نمی باشم.

They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.

۱۷ 17 ایشان را به راستی خودتقدیس نما. کلام تو راستی است.

Make them holy in the truth: Thy Message is truth.

۱۸ 18 همچنان‌که مرا در جهان فرستادی، من نیز ایشان را در جهان فرستادم.

Just as Thou didst send me into the world, I also have sent them;

۱۹ 19 و بجهت ایشان من خود را تقدیس می‌کنم تا ایشان نیز در راستی، تقدیس کرده شوند.

and on their behalf I consecrate myself, in order that they may become perfectly consecrated in truth.

۲۰ 20 «و نه برای اینها فقط سوال می‌کنم، بلکه برای آنها نیز که به وسیله کلام ایشان به من ایمان خواهند‌آورد.

"Nor is it for them alone that I make request. It is also for those who trust in me through their teaching;

۲۱ 21 تا همه یک گردند چنانکه تو‌ای پدر، در من هستی و من در تو، تا ایشان نیز در مایک باشند تا جهان ایمان آرد که تو مرا فرستادی.

that they may all be one, even as Thou art in me, O Father, and I am in Thee; that they also may be in us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send me.

۲۲ 22 و من جلالی را که به من دادی به ایشان دادم تا یک باشند چنانکه ما یک هستیم.

And the glory which Thou hast given me I have given them, that they may be one, just as we are one:

۲۳ 23 من در ایشان و تو در من، تا در یکی کامل گردند و تا جهان بداندکه تو مرا فرستادی و ایشان را محبت نمودی چنانکه مرا محبت نمودی.

I in them and Thou in me; that they may stand perfected in one; that the world may come to understand that Thou didst send me and hast loved them with the same love as that with which Thou hast loved me.

۲۴ 24 ‌ای پدر می‌خواهم آنانی که به من داده‌ای با من باشند در جایی که من می‌باشم تا جلال مرا که به من داده‌ای ببینند، زیراکه مرا پیش از بنای جهان محبت نمودی.

"Father, those whom Thou hast given me--I desire that where I am they also may be with me, that they may see the glory--my glory--my gift from Thee, which Thou hast given me because Thou didst love me before the creation of the world.

۲۵ 25 ‌ای پدر عادل، جهان تو را نشناخت، اما من تو راشناختم؛ و اینها شناخته‌اند که تو مرا فرستادی.

And, righteous Father, though the world has failed to recognize Thee, I have known Thee, and these have perceived that Thou didst send me.

۲۶ 26 و اسم تو را به ایشان شناسانیدم و خواهم شناسانید تا آن محبتی که به من نموده‌ای در ایشان باشد و من نیز در ایشان باشم.»

And I have made known Thy name to them and will make it known, that the love with which Thou hast loved me may be in them, and that I may be in them."
