| «آیا وقت زاییدن بز کوهی را می‌دانی؟ یا زمان وضع حمل آهو را نشان می‌دهی؟ | ۱ 1 |
KNOWEST thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
| آیا ماههایی را که کامل می‌سازندحساب توانی کرد؟ یا زمان زاییدن آنهارامی دانی؟ | ۲ 2 |
Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
| خم شده، بچه های خود را می‌زایند واز دردهای خود فارغ می‌شوند. | ۳ 3 |
They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.
| بچه های آنهاقوی شده، در بیابان نمو می‌کنند، می‌روند و نزدآنها برنمی گردند. | ۴ 4 |
Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.
| کیست که خر وحشی را رهاکرده، آزاد ساخت. و کیست که بندهای گورخر راباز نمود. | ۵ 5 |
Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
| که من بیابان را خانه او ساختم، وشوره زار را مسکن او گردانیدم. | ۶ 6 |
Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.
| به غوغای شهراستهزاء می‌کند و خروش رمه بان را گوش نمی گیرد. | ۷ 7 |
He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.
| دایره کوهها چراگاه او است و هرگونه سبزه را می‌طلبد. | ۸ 8 |
The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.
| آیا گاو وحشی راضی شود که تو را خدمت نماید، یا نزد آخور تو منزل گیرد؟ | ۹ 9 |
Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
| آیا گاو وحشی را به ریسمانش به شیار توانی بست؟ یا وادیها را از عقب تو مازو خواهد نمود؟ | ۱۰ 10 |
Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
| آیا از اینکه قوتش عظیم است بر او اعتمادخواهی کرد؟ و کار خود را به او حواله خواهی نمود؟ | ۱۱ 11 |
Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
| آیا براو توکل خواهی کرد که محصولت را باز آورد و آن را به خرمنگاهت جمع کند؟ | ۱۲ 12 |
Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?
| «بال شترمرغ به شادی متحرک می‌شود واما پر و بال او مثل لقلق نیست. | ۱۳ 13 |
Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
| زیرا که تخمهای خود را به زمین وامی گذارد و بر روی خاک آنها را گرم می‌کند | ۱۴ 14 |
Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
| و فراموش می‌کند که پا آنها را می‌افشرد، و وحوش صحرا آنها راپایمال می‌کنند. | ۱۵ 15 |
And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
| با بچه های خود سختی می کند که گویا از آن او نیستند، محنت او باطل است و متاسف نمی شود. | ۱۶ 16 |
She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;
| زیرا خدا او را ازحکمت محروم ساخته، و از فطانت او را نصیبی نداده است. | ۱۷ 17 |
Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
| هنگامی که به بلندی پرواز می‌کنداسب و سوارش را استهزا می‌نماید. | ۱۸ 18 |
What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
| «آیا تو اسب را قوت داده و گردن او را به یال ملبس گردانیده‌ای؟ | ۱۹ 19 |
Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
| آیا او را مثل ملخ به جست وخیز آورده‌ای؟ خروش شیهه او مهیب است. | ۲۰ 20 |
Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
| در وادی پا زده، از قوت خود وجدمی نماید و به مقابله مسلحان بیرون می‌رود. | ۲۱ 21 |
He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
| برخوف استهزاء کرده، هراسان نمی شود، و از دم شمشیر برنمی گردد. | ۲۲ 22 |
He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
| ترکش بر او چکچک می‌کند، و نیزه درخشنده و مزراق | ۲۳ 23 |
The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
| با خشم وغیض زمین را می‌نوردد. و چون کرنا صدا می‌کندنمی ایستد، | ۲۴ 24 |
He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
| وقتی که کرنا نواخته شود هه هه می‌گوید و جنگ را از دور استشمام می‌کند، وخروش سرداران و غوغا را. | ۲۵ 25 |
He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
| آیا از حکمت توشاهین می‌پرد؟ و بالهای خود را بطرف جنوب پهن می‌کند؟ | ۲۶ 26 |
Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?
| آیا از فرمان تو عقاب صعودمی نماید و آشیانه خود را به‌جای بلند می‌سازد؟ | ۲۷ 27 |
Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?
| بر صخره ساکن شده، ماوا می‌سازد. بر صخره تیز و بر ملاذ منیع. | ۲۸ 28 |
She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.
| از آنجا خوراک خود را به نظر می‌آورد و چشمانش از دور می‌نگرد. | ۲۹ 29 |
From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
| بچه هایش خون را می‌مکند و جایی که کشتگانند او آنجا است.» | ۳۰ 30 |
Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
