ایّوب 36

۱ 1 و الیهو باز‌گفت:

Also Helyu addide, and spak these thingis,

۲ 2 «برای من‌اندکی صبرکن تا تو را اعلام نمایم، زیرا از برای خدا هنوز سخنی باقی است.

Suffre thou me a litil, and Y schal schewe to thee; for yit Y haue that, that Y schal speke for God.

۳ 3 علم خود را از دورخواهم آورد و به خالق خویش، عدالت راتوصیف خواهم نمود.

Y schal reherse my kunnyng fro the bigynnyng; and Y schal preue my worchere iust.

۴ 4 چونکه حقیقت کلام من دروغ نیست، و آنکه در علم کامل است نزد توحاضر است.

For verili my wordis ben with out leesyng, and perfit kunnyng schal be preued to thee.

۵ 5 اینک خدا قدیر است و کسی رااهانت نمی کند و در قوت عقل قادر است.

God castith not awei myyti men, sithen he is myyti;

۶ 6 شریررا زنده نگاه نمی دارد و داد مسکینان را می‌دهد.

but he saueth not wickid men, and he yyueth dom to pore men.

۷ 7 چشمان خود را از عادلان برنمی گرداند، بلکه ایشان را با پادشاهان بر کرسی تا به ابد می‌نشاند، پس سرافراشته می‌شوند.

He takith not awei hise iyen fro a iust man; and he settith kyngis in seete with out ende, and thei ben reisid there.

۸ 8 اما هرگاه به زنجیرهابسته شوند، و به بندهای مصیبت گرفتار گردند،

And if thei ben in chaynes, and ben boundun with the roopis of pouert,

۹ 9 آنگاه اعمال ایشان را به ایشان می‌نمایاند وتقصیرهای ایشان را از اینکه تکبر نموده‌اند،

he schal shewe to hem her werkis, and her grete trespassis; for thei weren violent, `ethir rauenours.

۱۰ 10 وگوشهای ایشان را برای تادیب باز می‌کند، و امرمی فرماید تا از گناه بازگشت نمایند.

Also he schal opene her eere, that he chastise; and he schal speke, that thei turne ayen fro wickidnesse.

۱۱ 11 پس اگربشنوند و او را عبادت نمایند، ایام خویش را درسعادت بسر خواهند برد، و سالهای خود را درشادمانی.

If thei heren, and kepen, thei schulen fille her daies in good, and her yeris in glorie.

۱۲ 12 و اما اگر نشنوند از تیغ خواهند افتاد، و بدون معرفت، جان را خواهند سپرد.

Sotheli if thei heren not, thei schulen passe bi swerd, and thei schulen be wastid in foli.

۱۳ 13 اماآنانی که در دل، فاجرند غضب را ذخیره می‌نمایند، و چون ایشان را می‌بندد استغاثه نمی نمایند.

Feyneris and false men stiren the ire of God; and thei schulen not crye, whanne thei ben boundun.

۱۴ 14 ایشان در عنفوان جوانی می‌میرندو حیات ایشان با فاسقان (تلف می‌شود).

The soule of hem schal die in tempest; and the lijf of hem among `men of wymmens condiciouns.

۱۵ 15 مصیبت کشان را به مصیبت ایشان نجات می‌بخشد و گوش ایشان را در تنگی باز می‌کند.

He schal delyuere a pore man fro his angwisch; and he schal opene `the eere of hym in tribulacioun.

۱۶ 16 «پس تو را نیز از دهان مصیبت بیرون می‌آورد، در مکان وسیع که در آن تنگی نمی بود وزاد سفره تو از فربهی مملو می‌شد،

Therfor he schal saue thee fro the streit mouth of the broddeste tribulacioun, and not hauynge a foundement vndur it; sotheli the rest of thi table schal be ful of fatnesse.

۱۷ 17 و تو ازداوری شریر پر هستی، لیکن داوری و انصاف باهم ملتصقند.

Thi cause is demed as the cause of a wickid man; forsothe thou schalt resseyue thi cause and doom.

۱۸ 18 باحذر باش مبادا خشم تو را به تعدی ببرد، و زیادتی کفاره تو را منحرف سازد.

Therfor ire ouercome thee not, that thou oppresse ony man; and the multitude of yiftis bowe thee not.

۱۹ 19 آیا او دولت تو را به حساب خواهد آورد؟ نی، نه طلا و نه تمامی قوای توانگری را.

Putte doun thi greetnesse with out tribulacioun, and putte doun alle stronge men bi strengthe.

۲۰ 20 برای شب آرزومند مباش، که امت‌ها را از جای ایشان می‌برد.

Dilaie thou not nyyt, that puplis stie for hem.

۲۱ 21 با حذر باش که به گناه مایل نشوی، زیرا که تو آن را بر مصیبت ترجیح داده‌ای.

Be thou war, that thou bowe not to wickidnesse; for thou hast bigunne to sue this wickidnesse aftir wretchidnesse.

۲۲ 22 اینک خدا در قوت خود متعال می‌باشد. کیست که مثل او تعلیم بدهد؟

Lo! God is hiy in his strengthe, and noon is lijk hym among the yyueris of lawe.

۲۳ 23 کیست که طریق او را به او تفویض کرده باشد؟ و کیست که بگویدتو بی‌انصافی نموده‌ای؟

Who mai seke out the weies of God? ethir who dar seie to hym, Thou hast wrouyt wickidnesse?

۲۴ 24 به یاد داشته باش که اعمال او را تکبیر گویی که درباره آنها مردمان می‌سرایند.

Haue thou mynde, that thou knowist not his werk, of whom men sungun.

۲۵ 25 جمیع آدمیان به آنها می‌نگرند. مردمان آنها را از دور مشاهده می‌نمایند.

Alle men seen God; ech man biholdith afer.

۲۶ 26 اینک خدا متعال است و او را نمی شناسیم. و شماره سالهای او را تفحص نتوان کرد.

Lo! God is greet, ouercomynge oure kunnyng; the noumbre of hise yeeris is with out noumbre.

۲۷ 27 زیرا که قطره های آب را جذب می‌کند و آنها باران را ازبخارات آن می‌چکاند.

Which takith awei the dropis of reyn; and schedith out reynes at the licnesse of floodyatis,

۲۸ 28 که ابرها آن را به شدت می‌ریزد و بر انسان به فراوانی می‌تراود.

whiche comen doun of the cloudis, that hilen alle thingis aboue.

۲۹ 29 آیاکیست که بفهمد ابرها چگونه پهن می‌شوند، یارعدهای خیمه او را بداند؟

If he wole stretche forthe cloudis as his tente,

۳۰ 30 اینک نور خود رابر آن می‌گستراند. و عمق های دریا را می‌پوشاند.

and leite with his liyt fro aboue, he schal hile, yhe,

۳۱ 31 زیرا که به واسطه آنها قوم‌ها را داوری می‌کند، و رزق را به فراوانی می‌بخشد.

the herris of the see. For bi these thingis he demeth puplis, and yyueth mete to many deedli men.

۳۲ 32 دستهای خودرا با برق می‌پوشاند، و آن را بر هدف مامورمی سازد.

In hondis he hidith liyt; and comaundith it, that it come eft.

۳۳ 33 رعدش از او خبر می‌دهد و مواشی از برآمدن او اطلاع می‌دهند.

He tellith of it to his freend, that it is his possessioun; and that he may stie to it.
