ایّوب 11
| و صوفر نعماتی در جواب گفت: | ۱ 1 |
Then Zophar, the Naamathite, answered,
| «آیابه کثرت سخنان جواب نباید داد و مردپرگو عادل شمرده شود؟ | ۲ 2 |
"Shouldn't the multitude of words be answered? Should a man full of talk be justified?
| آیا بیهوده‌گویی تومردمان را ساکت کند و یا سخریه کنی و کسی تورا خجل نسازد؟ | ۳ 3 |
Should your boastings make men hold their peace? When you mock, shall no man make you ashamed?
| و می‌گویی تعلیم من پاک است، و من در نظر تو بی‌گناه هستم. | ۴ 4 |
For you say, 'My doctrine is pure. I am clean in your eyes.'
| و لیکن کاش که خدا سخن بگوید و لبهای خود را بر تو بگشاید، | ۵ 5 |
But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against you,
| و اسرار حکمت را برای تو بیان کند. زیرا که درماهیت خود دو طرف دارد. پس بدان که خدا کمتراز گناهانت تو را سزا داده است. | ۶ 6 |
that he would show you the secrets of wisdom. For true wisdom has two sides. Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.
| آیا عمق های خدا را می‌توانی دریافت نمود؟ یا به کنه قادرمطلق توانی رسید؟ | ۷ 7 |
"Can you fathom the mystery of God? Or can you probe the limits of Shaddai?
| مثل بلندیهای آسمان است؛ چه خواهی کرد؟ گودتر از هاویه است؛ چه توانی دانست؟ (Sheol h7585) | ۸ 8 |
They are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol. What can you know? (Sheol h7585)
| پیمایش آن از جهان طویل تر واز دریا پهن تر است. | ۹ 9 |
Its measure is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
| اگر سخت بگیرد و حبس نماید و به محاکمه دعوت کند کیست که او راممانعت نماید؟ | ۱۰ 10 |
If he passes by, or confines, or convenes a court, then who can oppose him?
| زیرا که بطالت مردم را می‌داندو شرارت را می‌بیند اگرچه در آن تامل نکند. | ۱۱ 11 |
For he knows false men. He sees iniquity also, even though he doesn't consider it.
| ومرد جاهل آنوقت فهیم می‌شود که بچه خروحشی، انسان متولد شود. | ۱۲ 12 |
An empty-headed man becomes wise when a man is born as a wild donkey's colt.
| اگر تو دل خود راراست سازی و دستهای خود را بسوی او درازکنی، | ۱۳ 13 |
"If you set your heart aright, stretch out your hands toward him.
| اگر در دست تو شرارت باشد، آن را ازخود دور کن، و بی‌انصافی در خیمه های تو ساکن نشود. | ۱۴ 14 |
If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away. Do not let unrighteousness dwell in your tents.
| پس یقین روی خود را بی‌عیب برخواهی افراشت، و مستحکم شده، نخواهی ترسید. | ۱۵ 15 |
Surely then you shall lift up your face without spot; Yes, you shall be steadfast, and shall not fear:
| زیرا که مشقت خود را فراموش خواهی کرد، و آن را مثل آب رفته به یاد خواهی آورد، | ۱۶ 16 |
for you shall forget your misery. You shall remember it as waters that are passed away.
| و روزگار تو از وقت ظهر روشن ترخواهد شد، و اگرچه تاریکی باشد، مثل صبح خواهد گشت. | ۱۷ 17 |
Life shall be clearer than the noonday. Though there is darkness, it shall be as the morning.
| و مطمئن خواهی بود چونکه امید داری، و اطراف خود را تجسس نموده، ایمن خواهی خوابید. | ۱۸ 18 |
You shall be secure, because there is hope. Yes, you shall search, and shall take your rest in safety.
| و خواهی خوابید وترساننده‌ای نخواهد بود، و بسیاری تو راتملق خواهند نمود. | ۱۹ 19 |
Also you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid. Yes, many shall court your favor.
| لیکن چشمان شریران کاهیده می‌شود و ملجای ایشان از ایشان نابود می‌گردد و امید ایشان جان کندن ایشان است.» | ۲۰ 20 |
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail. They shall have no way to flee. Their hope shall be the giving up of the spirit."
