| لیکن برای او که در تنگی می‌بود، تاریکی نخواهد شد. در زمان پیشین زمین زبولون وزمین نفتالی را ذلیل ساخت، اما در زمان آخر آن را به راه دریا به آن طرف اردن در جلیل امت هامحترم خواهد گردانید. | ۱ 1 |
Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
| قومی که در تاریکی سالک می‌بودند، نور عظیمی خواهند دید و بر ساکنان زمین سایه موت نور ساطع خواهد شد. | ۲ 2 |
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
| تو قوم را بسیار ساخته، شادی ایشان را زیادگردانیدی. به حضور تو شادی خواهند کرد مثل شادمانی وقت درو و مانند کسانی که در تقسیم نمودن غنیمت وجد می‌نمایند. | ۳ 3 |
Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
| زیرا که یوغ باراو را و عصای گردنش یعنی عصای جفا کننده وی را شکستی چنانکه در روز مدیان کردی. | ۴ 4 |
For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
| زیرا همه اسلحه مسلحان در غوغا است ورخوت ایشان به خون آغشته است اما برای سوختن و هیزم آتش خواهند بود. | ۵ 5 |
For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
| زیرا که برای ما ولدی زاییده و پسری به ما بخشیده شد وسلطنت بر دوش او خواهد بود و اسم او عجیب ومشیر و خدای قدیر و پدر سرمدی و سرورسلامتی خوانده خواهد شد. | ۶ 6 |
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty El, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
| ترقی سلطنت وسلامتی او را بر کرسی داود و بر مملکت وی انتهانخواهد بود تا آن را به انصاف و عدالت از الان تاابدالاباد ثابت و استوار نماید. غیرت یهوه صبایوت این را بجا خواهد آورد. | ۷ 7 |
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of YHWH of hosts will perform this.
| خداوند کلامی نزد یعقوب فرستاد و آن براسرائیل واقع گردید. | ۸ 8 |
YHWH sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
| و تمامی قوم خواهنددانست یعنی افرایم و ساکنان سامره که از غرور وتکبر دل خود می‌گویند. | ۹ 9 |
And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,
| خشتها افتاده است امابا سنگهای تراشیده بنا خواهیم نمود؛ چوبهای افراغ در هم شکست اما سرو آزاد بجای آنهامی گذاریم. | ۱۰ 10 |
The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
| بنابراین خداوند دشمنان رصین رابضد او خواهد برافراشت و خصمان او را خواهدبرانگیخت. | ۱۱ 11 |
Therefore YHWH shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;
| ارامیان را از مشرق و فلسطینیان رااز مغرب و ایشان اسرائیل را با دهان گشوده خواهند خورد. اما با این همه خشم او برگردانیده نشده و دست او هنوز دراز است. | ۱۲ 12 |
The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
| و این قوم بسوی زننده خودشان بازگشت ننموده و یهوه صبایوت را نطلبیده‌اند. | ۱۳ 13 |
For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek YHWH of hosts.
| بنابراین خداوند سر ودم و نخل و نی را از اسرائیل در یک روز خواهدبرید. | ۱۴ 14 |
Therefore YHWH will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
| مرد پیر و مرد شریف سر است و نبی‌ای که تعلیم دروغ می‌دهد، دم می‌باشد. | ۱۵ 15 |
The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
| زیرا که هادیان این قوم ایشان را گمراه می‌کنند و پیروان ایشان بلعیده می‌شوند. | ۱۶ 16 |
For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
| از این سبب خداوند از جوانان ایشان مسرور نخواهد شد و بر یتیمان و بیوه‌زنان ایشان ترحم نخواهد نمود. چونکه جمیع ایشان منافق وشریرند و هر دهانی به حماقت متکلم می‌شود بااینهمه غضب او برگردانیده نشده و دست او هنوزدراز است. | ۱۷ 17 |
Therefore YHWH shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
| زیرا که شرارت مثل آتش می‌سوزاند و خار و خس را می‌خورد، و دربوته های جنگل افروخته شده، دود غلیظ پیچان می‌شود. | ۱۸ 18 |
For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.
| از غضب یهوه صبایوت زمین سوخته شده است و قوم هیزم آتش گشته‌اند و کسی بربرادر خود شفقت ندارد. | ۱۹ 19 |
Through the wrath of YHWH of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.
| از جانب راست می‌ربایند و گرسنه می‌مانند و از طرف چپ می‌خورند و سیر نمی شوند و هرکس گوشت بازوی خود را می‌خورد. | ۲۰ 20 |
And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
| منسی افرایم را وافرایم منسی را و هر دوی ایشان بضد یهودا متحدمی شوند. با اینهمه غضب او برگردانیده نشده ودست او هنوز دراز است. | ۲۱ 21 |
Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
