اشعیا 48

۱ 1 ای خاندان یعقوب که به نام اسرائیل مسمی هستید و از آب یهودا صادرشده‌اید، و به اسم یهوه قسم می‌خورید و خدای اسرائیل را ذکر می‌نمایید، اما نه به صداقت وراستی، این را بشنوید.

Hear these [words], you house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of Juda, who swear by the name of the Lord God of Israel, making mention [of it, but] not with truth, nor with righteousness;

۲ 2 زیرا که خویشتن را ازشهر مقدس می‌خوانند و بر خدای اسرائیل که اسمش یهوه صبایوت است اعتماد می‌دارند.

maintaining also the name of the holy city, and staying themselves on the God of Israel: the Lord of hosts is his name. The former things I have already declared;

۳ 3 چیزهای اول را از قدیم اخبار کردم و از دهان من صادر شده، آنها را اعلام نمودم بغته به عمل آوردم و واقع شد.

and they that have proceeded out of my mouth, and it became well known; I wrought suddenly, and [the events] came to pass.

۴ 4 چونکه دانستم که تو سخت دل هستی و گردنت بند آهنین و پیشانی تو برنجین است.

I know that you are stubborn, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your forehead brazen.

۵ 5 بنابراین تو را از قدیم مخبر ساختم و قبل از وقوع تو را اعلام نمودم. مبادا بگویی که بت من آنها را بجا آورده و بت تراشیده و صنم ریخته شده من آنها را امر فرموده است.

And I told you of old what [should be] before it came upon you; I made it known to you, lest you should say, [My] idols have done [it] for me; and should say, [My] graven and molten images have commanded me.

۶ 6 چونکه همه این چیزها را شنیدی آنها را ملاحظه نما. پس آیاشما اعتراف نخواهید کرد، و از این زمان چیزهای تازه را به شما اعلام نمودم و چیزهای مخفی را که ندانسته بودید.

You have heard all this, but you have not known: yet I have made known to you the new things from henceforth, which are coming to pass, and you said not,

۷ 7 در این زمان و نه در ایام قدیم آنها آفریده شد و قبل از امروز آنها را نشنیده بودی مبادا بگویی اینک این چیزها را می‌دانستم.

Now they come to pass, and not formerly: and you heard not of them in former days: say not you, Yes, I know them.

۸ 8 البته نشنیده و هر آینه ندانسته و البته گوش توقبل از این باز نشده بود. زیرا می‌دانستم که بسیارخیانتکار هستی و از رحم (مادرت ) عاصی خوانده شدی.

You have neither known, nor understood, neither from the beginning have I opened your ears: for I knew that you would surely deal treacherously, and would be called a transgressor even from the womb.

۹ 9 به‌خاطر اسم خود غضب خویش را به تاخیر خواهم‌انداخت و به‌خاطرجلال خویش بر تو شفقت خواهم کرد تا تو رامنقطع نسازم.

For mine own sake will I show you my wrath, and will bring before you my glorious acts, that I may not utterly destroy you.

۱۰ 10 اینک تو را قال گذاشتم اما نه مثل نقره و تو را در کوره مصیبت آزمودم.

Behold, I have sold you, [but] not for silver; but I have rescued you from the furnace of affliction.

۱۱ 11 به خاطر ذات خود، به‌خاطر ذات خود این رامی کنم زیرا که اسم من چرا باید بی‌حرمت شود وجلال خویش را به دیگری نخواهم داد.

For mine own sake I will do [this] for you, because my name is profaned; and I will not give my glory to another.

۱۲ 12 ‌ای یعقوب و‌ای دعوت شده من اسرائیل بشنو! من او هستم! من اول هستم و آخر هستم!

Hear me, O Jacob, and Israel whom I call; I am the first, and I endure for ever.

۱۳ 13 به تحقیق دست من بنیاد زمین را نهاد و دست راست من آسمانها را گسترانید. وقتی که آنها رامی خوانم با هم برقرار می‌باشند.

My hand also has founded the earth, and my right hand has fixed the sky: I will call them, and they shall stand together.

۱۴ 14 پس همگی شما جمع شده، بشنوید کیست از ایشان که اینهارا اخبار کرده باشد. خداوند او را دوست می‌دارد، پس مسرت خود را بر بابل بجا خواهد آورد وبازوی او بر کلدانیان فرود خواهد آمد.

And all shall be gathered, and shall hear: who has told them these things? Out of love to you I have fulfilled your desire on Babylon, to abolish the seed of the Chaldeans.

۱۵ 15 من تکلم نمودم و من او را خواندم و او را آوردم تا راه خود را کامران سازد.

I have spoken, I have called, I have brought him, and made his way prosperous.

۱۶ 16 به من نزدیک شده، این رابشنوید. از ابتدا در خفا تکلم ننمودم و از زمانی که این واقع شد من در آنجا هستم و الان خداوندیهوه مرا و روح خود را فرستاده است.

Draw near to me, and hear you these words; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning: when it took place, there was I, and now the Lord, [even] the Lord, and his Spirit, has sent me.

۱۷ 17 خداوندکه ولی تو و قدوس اسرائیل است چنین می‌گوید: «من یهوه خدای تو هستم و تو را تعلیم می‌دهم تاسود ببری و تو را به راهی که باید بروی هدایت می‌نمایم.

Thus says the Lord that delivered you, the Holy One of Israel; I am your God, I have shown you how you should find the way wherein you should walk.

۱۸ 18 کاش که به اوامر من گوش می‌دادی، آنگاه سلامتی تو مثل نهر و عدالت تو مانند امواج دریا می‌بود.

And if you had listened to my commandments, [then] would your peace have been like a river, and your righteousness as a wave of the sea.

۱۹ 19 آنگاه ذریت تو مثل ریگ و ثمره صلب تو مانند ذرات آن می‌بود و نام او از حضورمن منقطع و هلاک نمی گردید.»

Your seed also would have been as the sand, and the offspring of your belly as the dust of the ground: neither now shall you by any means be utterly destroyed, neither shall your name perish before me.

۲۰ 20 از بابل بیرون شده، از میان کلدانیان بگریزید و این را به آواز ترنم اخبار و اعلام نماییدو آن را تا اقصای زمین شایع ساخته، بگویید که خداوند بنده خود یعقوب را فدیه داده است.

Go forth of Babylon, you that flee from the Chaldeans: utter aloud a voice of joy, and let this be made known, proclaim it to the end of the earth; say you, The Lord has delivered his servant Jacob.

۲۱ 21 وتشنه نخواهند شد اگر‌چه ایشان را در ویرانه هارهبری نماید، زیرا که آب از صخره برای ایشان جاری خواهد ساخت و صخره را خواهدشکافت تا آبها بجوشد.

And if they shall thirst, he shall lead them through the desert; he shall bring forth water to them out of the rock: the rock shall be cloven, and the water shall flow forth, and my people shall drink.

۲۲ 22 و خداوند می‌گوید که برای شریران سلامتی نخواهد بود.

There is no joy, says the Lord, to the ungodly.
