| تسلی دهید! قوم مرا تسلی دهید! خدای شما می‌گوید: | ۱ 1 |
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
| سخنان دلاویزبه اورشلیم گویید و اورا ندا کنید که اجتهاد اوتمام شده و گناه وی آمرزیده گردیده، و از دست خداوند برای تمامی گناهانش دو چندان یافته است. | ۲ 2 |
Speak ye [comfort] to the heart of Jerusalem, and call out unto her, that her time of sorrow is accomplished, that her iniquity is atoned for; for she hath received from the hand of the Lord double for all her sins.
| صدای ندا کننده‌ای در بیابان، راه خداوندرا مهیا سازید و طریقی برای خدای ما در صحراراست نمایید. | ۳ 3 |
A voice calleth out, In the wilderness make ye clear the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for God.
| هر دره‌ای برافراشته و هر کوه وتلی پست خواهد شد. و کجیها راست وناهمواریها هموار خواهد گردید. | ۴ 4 |
Every valley shall be raised, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked shall be made a straight path, and the rough places a plain:
| و جلال خداوند مکشوف گشته، تمامی بشر آن را با هم خواهند دید زیرا که دهان خداوند این را گفته است. | ۵ 5 |
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed; and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
| هاتفی می‌گوید: «ندا کن.» وی گفت: «چه چیز را ندا کنم؟ تمامی بشر گیاه است و همگی زیبایی‌اش مثل گل صحرا. | ۶ 6 |
A voice saith, Proclaim; and he saith, What shall I proclaim? all flesh is grass, and all its goodliness is as the flower of the field:
| گیاه خشک و گلش پژمرده می‌شود زیرا نفخه خداوند بر آن دمیده می‌شود. البته مردمان گیاه هستند. | ۷ 7 |
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; because the breath of the Lord hath blown upon it; surely the people is grass.
| گیاه خشک شد و گل پژمرده گردید، لیکن کلام خدای ما تاابدالاباد استوار خواهد ماند.» | ۸ 8 |
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of our God will stand firm for ever.
| ای صهیون که بشارت می‌دهی به کوه بلند برآی! و‌ای اورشلیم که بشارت می‌دهی آوازت را با قوت بلند کن! آن را بلند کن و مترس و به شهرهای یهودا بگو که «هان خدای شما است!» | ۹ 9 |
Upon a high mountain get thee up, thou that bringest good tidings to Zion; lift up with strength thy voice, thou who bringest good tidings to Jerusalem; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold, [here is] your God!
| اینک خداوند یهوه باقوت می‌آید و بازوی وی برایش حکمرانی می‌نماید. اینک اجرت او با وی است و عقوبت وی پیش روی او می‌آید. | ۱۰ 10 |
Behold, the Lord Eternal will come with might, and his arm ruleth for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.
| او مثل شبان گله خود را خواهد چرانید و به بازوی خود بره‌ها راجمع کرده، به آغوش خویش خواهد گرفت وشیر دهندگان را به ملایمت رهبری خواهد کرد. | ۱۱ 11 |
Like a shepherd will he feed his flock: with his arm will he gather the lambs, and in his bosom will he carry them, will he lead gently those that suckle their young.
| کیست که آبها را به کف دست خود پیموده وافلاک را با وجب اندازه کرده و غبار زمین را درکیل گنجانیده و کوهها را به قپان و تلها را به ترازووزن نموده است؟ | ۱۲ 12 |
Who hath measured in the hollow of his hand the waters, and meted out the heavens with the span, and comprised in a measure the dust of the earth, and weighed in the scale-beam the mountains, and the hills in balances?
| کیست که روح خداوند را قانون داده یا مشیراو بوده او را تعلیم داده باشد. | ۱۳ 13 |
Who hath meted out the Spirit of the Lord? and [who was] his counsellor that he could have given him information?
| او از که مشورت خواست تا به او فهم بخشد و طریق راستی را به اوبیاموزد؟ و کیست که او را معرفت آموخت و راه فطانت را به او تعلیم داد؟ | ۱۴ 14 |
With whom took he counsel, that he gave him understanding, and taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and caused him to know the way of understanding?
| اینک امت‌ها مثل قطره دلو و مانند غبار میزان شمرده می‌شوند. اینک جزیره‌ها را مثل گرد برمی دارد. | ۱۵ 15 |
Behold, nations are as a drop out of a bucket, and as the small dust of the balance are they accounted: behold, isles are like the flying dust.
| و لبنان به جهت هیزم کافی نیست و حیواناتش برای قربانی سوختنی کفایت نمی کند. | ۱۶ 16 |
And Lebanon is not sufficient for burning, and its beasts do not suffice for burnt-offering.
| تمامی امت‌ها بنظروی هیچند و از عدم و بطالت نزد وی کمترمی نمایند. | ۱۷ 17 |
All the nations are as naught before him; less than nothing, and vanity are they accounted to him.
| پس خدا را به که تشبیه می‌کنید و کدام شبه را با او برابر می‌توانید کرد؟ | ۱۸ 18 |
To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
| صنعتگربت را می‌ریزد و زرگر آن را به طلا می‌پوشاند، وزنجیرهای نقره برایش می‌ریزد. | ۱۹ 19 |
The graven image the artificer hath cast and the goldsmith hath overspread it with gold, and fabricated [on it] silver chains.
| کسی‌که استطاعت چنین هدایا نداشته باشد درختی را که نمی پوسد اختیار می‌کند و صنعتگر ماهری رامی طلبد تا بتی را که متحرک نشود برای او بسازد. | ۲۰ 20 |
He that is skilled in the choice chooseth a wood that will not rot; he seeketh unto himself a skilful workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
| آیا ندانسته ونشنیده‌اید و از ابتدا به شماخبر داده نشده است و از بنیاد زمین نفهمیده‌اید؟ | ۲۱ 21 |
Know ye not? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not paid attention to the foundations of the earth?
| او است که بر کره زمین نشسته است وساکنانش مثل ملخ می‌باشند. اوست که آسمانهارا مثل پرده می‌گستراند و آنها را مثل خیمه به جهت سکونت پهن می‌کند. | ۲۲ 22 |
[It is he] that dwelleth above the circle of the earth, while its inhabitants are as grasshoppers; that stretched out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;
| که امیران را لاشی می‌گرداند و داوران جهان را مانند بطالت می‌سازد. | ۲۳ 23 |
That bringeth princes to naught; rendering the judges of the earth as vanity.
| هنوز غرس نشده و کاشته نگردیده‌اند و تنه آنها هنوز در زمین ریشه نزده است، که فقط بر آنها می‌دمد و پژمرده می‌شوند وگرد باد آنها را مثل کاه می‌رباید. | ۲۴ 24 |
Yes, they were not yet planted; yea, they were not yet sown; yea, their stem had not yet taken root in the earth: when he but breathed upon them, and they withered, and the storm-wind carrieth them away as stubble.
| پس مرا به که تشبیه می‌کنید تا با وی مساوی باشم؟ قدوس می‌گوید: | ۲۵ 25 |
To whom then will ye liken me, that I should be equal to? saith the Holy One.
| چشمان خودرا به علیین برافراشته ببینید. کیست که اینها راآفرید و کیست که لشکر اینها را بشماره بیرون آورده، جمیع آنها را بنام می‌خواند؟ از کثرت قوت و از عظمت توانایی وی یکی از آنها گم نخواهد شد. | ۲۶ 26 |
Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these? he that bringeth out their host by number; that calleth them all by name; from the Mighty One not one escapeth.
| ای یعقوب چرا فکر می‌کنی و‌ای اسرائیل چرا می‌گویی: «راه من از خداوند مخفی است و خدای من انصاف مرا از دست داده است.» | ۲۷ 27 |
Why wilt thou say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hidden from the Lord, and my cause hath passed from the cognizance of my God?
| آیا ندانسته و نشنیده‌ای که خدای سرمدی یهوه آفریننده اقصای زمین درمانده و خسته نمی شود و فهم او را تفحص نتوان کرد؟ | ۲۸ 28 |
Dost thou not know? hast thou not heard? The God of everlasting is the Lord, is the Creator of the ends of the earth; he will not be faint and weary; unsearchable is his understanding.
| ضعیفان را قوت می‌بخشد و ناتوانان را قدرت زیاده عطا می‌نماید. | ۲۹ 29 |
He giveth to the faint strength; and to the powerless he imparteth much might.
| حتی جوانان هم درمانده و خسته می‌گردند و شجاعان بکلی می‌افتند. | ۳۰ 30 |
Though youths should grow faint and be weary, and young men should utterly stumble:
| اما آنانی که منتظر خداوند می‌باشند قوت تازه خواهند یافت و مثل عقاب پرواز خواهند کرد. خواهند دوید و خسته نخواهند شد. خواهندخرامید و درمانده نخواهند گردید. | ۳۱ 31 |
Yet they that wait upon the Lord shall acquire new strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk, and not become faint.
