| ای اسرائیل مثل قوم‌ها شادی و وجد منمازیرا از خدای خود زنا نمودی و در همه خرمنها اجرت را دوست داشتی. | ۱ 1 |
Rejoice not, O Israel: rejoice not as the nations do: for thou hast committed fornication against thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
| خرمنها وچرخشتها ایشان را پرورش نخواهد داد و شیره در آن ضایع خواهد شد. | ۲ 2 |
The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the wine shall deceive them.
| در زمین خداوند ساکن نخواهند شد بلکه افرایم به مصر خواهد برگشت و ایشان در آشور چیزهای نجس خواهند خورد. | ۳ 3 |
They shall not dwell in the Lord’s land: Ephraim is returned to Egypt, and hath eaten unclean things among the Assyrians.
| برای خداوند شراب نخواهند ریخت و مقبول او نخواهند شد. قربانی های ایشان مثل خوراک ماتمیان خواهد بود و هرکه از آنها بخورد نجس خواهد شد، زیرا خوراک ایشان برای اشتهای ایشان است. پس آن در خانه خداوند داخل نخواهد شد. | ۴ 4 |
They shall not offer wine to the Lord, neither shall they please him: their sacrifices shall be like the bread of mourners: all that shall eat it shall be defiled: for their bread is life for their soul, it shall not enter into the house of the Lord.
| پس در ایام مواسم و در ایام عیدهای خداوند چه خواهید کرد؟ | ۵ 5 |
What will you do in the solemn day, in the day of the feast of the Lord?
| زیرا اینک از ترس هلاکت رفته‌اند، اما مصر ایشان را جمع خواهدکرد و موف ایشان را دفن خواهد نمود. مکانهای نفیسه نقره ایشان را خارها به تصرف خواهندگرفت و در منازل ایشان شوکها خواهد بود. | ۶ 6 |
For behold they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them together, Memphis shall bury them: nettles shall inherit their beloved silver, the bur shall be in their tabernacles.
| ایام عقوبت می‌آید. ایام مکافات می‌رسد و اسرائیل این را خواهند دانست. نبی احمق گردید و صاحب روح دیوانه شد به‌سبب کثرت گناه وفراوانی بغض تو. | ۷ 7 |
The days of visitation are come, the days of repaying are come: know ye, O Israel, that the prophet was foolish, the spiritual man was mad, for the multitude of thy iniquity, and the multitude of thy madness.
| افرایم از جانب خدای من دیده بان بود. دام صیاد بر تمامی طریقهای انبیاگسترده شد. در خانه خدای ایشان عداوت است. | ۸ 8 |
The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: the prophet is become a snare of ruin upon all his ways, madness is in the house of his God.
| مثل ایام جبعه فساد را به نهایت رسانیده‌اند، پس عصیان ایشان را بیاد می‌آورد و گناه ایشان رامکافات خواهد داد. | ۹ 9 |
They have sinned deeply, as in the days of Gabaa: he will remember their iniquity, and will visit their sin.
| اسرائیل را مثل انگورها در بیابان یافتم. پدران شما را مثل نوبر انجیر در ابتدای موسمش دیدم. اما ایشان به بعل فغور رفتند و خویشتن رابرای رسوایی نذیره ساختند و مانند معشوقه خود مکروه شدند. | ۱۰ 10 |
I found Israel like grapes in the desert, I saw their fathers like the firstfruits of the fig tree in the top thereof: but they went in to Beelphegor, and alienated themselves to that confusion, and became abominable, as those things were, which they loved.
| جلال افرایم مثل مرغ می‌پرد. زاییدن و حامله شدن و در رحم قرارگرفتن نخواهد شد. | ۱۱ 11 |
As for Ephraim, their glory hath flown away like a bird from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
| و اگر فرزندان را بپرورانندایشان را بی‌اولاد خواهم ساخت به حدی که انسانی نخواهد ماند. وای بر ایشان حینی که من نیز از ایشان دور شوم. | ۱۲ 12 |
And though they should bring up their children, I will make them without children among men: yea, and woe to them, when I shall depart from them.
| افرایم حینی که او رابرگزیدم مثل صور در مرتع نیکو مغروس بود، اماافرایم پسران خود را برای قاتل بیرون خواهدآورد. | ۱۳ 13 |
Ephraim, as I saw, was a Tyre founded in beauty: and Ephraim shall bring out his children to the murderer.
| ای خداوند به ایشان بده. چه بدهی؟ رحم سقط کننده و پستانهای خشک به ایشان بده. | ۱۴ 14 |
Give them, O Lord. What wilt thou give them? Give them a womb without children, and dry breasts.
| تمامی شرارت ایشان در جلجال است زیراکه در آنجا از ایشان نفرت داشتم. پس ایشان را به‌سبب اعمال زشت ایشان از خانه خود خواهم راند و ایشان را دیگر دوست نخواهم داشت چونکه جمیع سروران ایشان فتنه انگیزند. | ۱۵ 15 |
All their wickedness is in Galgal, for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their devices I will cast them forth out of my house: I will love them no more, all their princes are revolters.
| افرایم خشک شده است و ریشه ایشان خشک گردیده، میوه نمی آورند و اگر نیز بزایند نتایج مرغوب رحم ایشان را خواهم کشت. | ۱۶ 16 |
Ephraim is struck, their root is dried up, they shall yield no fruit. And if they should have issue, I will slay the best beloved fruit of their womb.
| خدای من ایشان را ترک خواهد نمود چونکه او را نشنیدند، پس در میان امت‌ها آواره خواهند شد. | ۱۷ 17 |
My God will cast them away, because they hearkened not to him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
