هوشع 14

۱ 1 ای اسرائیل بسوی یهوه خدای خودبازگشت نما زیرا به‌سبب گناه خودلغزیده‌ای.

O Israel, come back to the Lord your God; for your evil-doing has been the cause of your fall.

۲ 2 با خود سخنان گرفته، بسوی خداوند بازگشت نمایید و او را گویید: «تمامی گناه را عفو فرما و ما را به لطف مقبول فرما، پس گوساله های لبهای خویش را ادا خواهیم نمود.

Take with you words, and come back to the Lord; say to him, Let there be forgiveness for all wrongdoing, so that we may take what is good, and give in payment the fruit of our lips.

۳ 3 آشور ما را نجات نخواهد داد و بر اسبان سوارنخواهیم شد و بار دیگر به عمل دستهای خودنخواهیم گفت که شما خدایان ما هستید چونکه ازتو یتیمان رحمت می‌یابند.»

Assyria will not be our salvation; we will not go on horses; we will not again say to the work of our hands, You are our gods; for in you there is mercy for the child who has no father.

۴ 4 ارتداد ایشان را شفا داده، ایشان را مجان دوست خواهم داشت زیرا خشم من از ایشان برگشته است.

I will put right their errors; freely will my love be given to them, for my wrath is turned away from him.

۵ 5 برای اسرائیل مثل شبنم خواهم بود و او مانند سوسنها گل خواهد کرد و مثل لبنان ریشه های خود را خواهد دوانید.

I will be as the dew to Israel; he will put out flowers like a lily, and send out his roots like Lebanon.

۶ 6 شاخه هایش منتشر شده، زیبایی او مثل درخت زیتون وعطرش مانند لبنان خواهد بود.

His branches will be stretched out, he will be beautiful as the olive-tree and sweet-smelling as Lebanon.

۷ 7 آنانی که زیرسایه‌اش ساکن می‌باشند، مثل گندم زیست خواهند کرد و مانند موها گل خواهند‌آورد. انتشار او مثل شراب لبنان خواهد بود.

They will come back and have rest in his shade; their life will be made new like the grain, and they will put out flowers like the vine; his name will be like the wine of Lebanon.

۸ 8 افرایم خواهد گفت: مرا دیگر با بتها چه‌کار است؟ و من او را اجابت کرده، منظور خواهم داشت. من مثل صنوبر تر و تازه می‌باشم. میوه تو از من یافت می‌شود.

As for Ephraim, what has he to do with false gods any longer? I have given an answer and I will keep watch over him; I am like a branching fir-tree, from me comes your fruit.

۹ 9 کیست مرد حکیم که این چیزها رابفهمد و فهیمی که آنها را بداند؟ زیرا طریق های خداوند مستقیم است و عادلان در آنها سلوک می‌نمایند، اما خطاکاران در آنها لغزش می‌خورند.

He who is wise will see these things; he who has good sense will have knowledge of them. For the ways of the Lord are straight, and the upright will go in them, but sinners will be falling in them.
