حَجّای 1
| در روز اول ماه ششم از سال دوم داریوش پادشاه، کلام خداوند به واسطه حجی نبی وبه زربابل بن شالتیئیل والی یهودا و به یهوشع بن یهوصادق رئیس کهنه رسیده، گفت: | ۱ 1 |
In the second year of Daryavesh the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai, the prophet, to Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,
| یهوه صبایوت تکلم نموده، چنین می‌فرماید: این قوم می‌گویند وقت آمدن ما یعنی وقت بنا نمودن خانه خداوند نرسیده است. | ۲ 2 |
"This is what the LORD of hosts says: These people say, 'The time hasn't yet come, the time for the LORD's house to be built.'"
| پس کلام خداوند به واسطه حجی نبی نازل شده، گفت: | ۳ 3 |
Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai, the prophet, saying,
| آیا وقت شماست که شما در خانه های مسقف خود ساکن شوید و این خانه خراب بماند؟ | ۴ 4 |
"Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies waste?
| پس حال یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید دل خود را به راههای خویش مشغول سازید. | ۵ 5 |
Now therefore this is what the LORD of hosts says: Consider your ways.
| بسیار کاشته‌اید و اندک حاصل می‌کنید. می‌خورید اما سیر نمی شوید ومی نوشید لیکن سیراب نمی گردید. (رخت )می پوشید اما گرم نمی شوید و آنکه مزد می‌گیرد، مزد خویش را در کیسه سوراخ دار می‌گذارد. | ۶ 6 |
You have sown much, and bring in little. You eat, but you do not have enough. You drink, but you aren't filled with drink. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm, and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes in it."
| پس یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید: دل خود را به راههای خود مشغول سازید. | ۷ 7 |
This is what the LORD of hosts says: "Consider your ways.
| به کوه برآمده وچوب آورده، خانه را بنا نمایید و خداوندمی گوید: از آن راضی شده، جلال خواهم یافت. | ۸ 8 |
Go up to the mountain, bring wood, and build the house. I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified," says the LORD.
| منتظر بسیار بودید و اینک کم شد و چون آن رابه خانه آوردید من بر آن دمیدم. یهوه صبایوت می‌پرسد که سبب این چیست؟ سبب این است که خانه من خراب می‌ماند و هرکدام از شما به خانه خویش می‌شتابید. | ۹ 9 |
"You looked for much, and, look, it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?" says the LORD of hosts, "Because of my house that lies waste, while each of you is busy with his own house.
| از این سبب، آسمانها بخاطر شما از شبنم باز داشته می‌شود و زمین ازمحصولش بازداشته می‌گردد. | ۱۰ 10 |
Therefore for your sake the heavens withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.
| و من بر زمین وبر کوهها و بر غله و عصیر انگور و روغن زیتون وبر هر‌آنچه زمین می‌رویاند و بر انسان و بهایم وتمامی مشقت های دستها خشکسالی را خواندم.» | ۱۱ 11 |
I called for a drought on the land, and on the mountains, and on the grain, and on the new wine, on the oil, and on all what the ground produces, and on men, and on livestock, and on all the labor of the hands."
| آنگاه زربابل بن شالتیئیل و یهوشع بن یهوصادق رئیس کهنه و تمامی بقیه قوم به قول یهوه خدای خود و به کلام حجی نبی چنانکه یهوه خدای ایشان او را فرستاده بود گوش دادند، و قوم از خداوند ترسیدند. | ۱۲ 12 |
Then Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD, their God, and the words of Haggai, the prophet, as the LORD, their God, had sent him; and the people feared the LORD.
| و حجی، رسول خداوند، پیغام خداوند را برای قوم بیان کرده، گفت: خداوند می‌گوید که من با شما هستم. | ۱۳ 13 |
Then Haggai, the LORD's messenger, spoke the LORD's message to the people, saying, "I am with you," says the LORD.
| وخداوند روح زربابل بن شالتیئیل والی یهودا وروح یهوشع بن یهوصادق، رئیس کهنه، و روح تمامی بقیه قوم را برانگیزانید تا بروند و در خانه یهوه صبایوت خدای خود به‌کار پردازند. | ۱۴ 14 |
The LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
| درروز بیست و چهارم ماه ششم از سال دوم داریوش پادشاه، این واقع شد. | ۱۵ 15 |
in the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of Daryavesh the king.
