حبقوق 3

۱ 1 دعای حبقوق نبی بر شجونوت.

A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.

۲ 2 ای خداوند چون خبر تو را شنیدم ترسان گردیدم. ای خداوند عمل خویش را در میان سالها زنده کن! در میان سالها آن را معروف ساز ودر حین غضب رحمت را بیاد آور.

O LORD, I have heard thy speech, [and] was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

۳ 3 خدا از تیمان آمد و قدوس از جبل فاران، سلاه. جلال اوآسمانها را پوشانید و زمین از تسبیح او مملوگردید.

God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. (Selah) His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.

۴ 4 پرتو او مثل نور بود و از دست وی شعاع ساطع گردید. و ستر قوت او در آنجا بود.

And [his] brightness was as the light; he had horns [coming] out of his hand: and there [was] the hiding of his power.

۵ 5 پیش روی وی وبا می‌رفت و آتش تب نزد پایهای اومی بود.

Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.

۶ 6 او بایستاد و زمین را پیمود. او نظر افکندو امت‌ها را پراکنده ساخت و کوههای ازلی جستند و تلهای ابدی خم شدند. طریق های اوجاودانی است.

He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways [are] everlasting.

۷ 7 خیمه های کوشان را در بلادیدم. و چادرهای زمین مدیان لرزان شد.

I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: [and] the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.

۸ 8 ‌ای خداوند آیا بر نهرها غضب تو افروخته شد یا خشم تو بر نهرها و غیظ تو بر دریا واردآمد، که بر اسبان خود و ارابه های فتح مندی خویش سوار شدی؟

Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? [was] thine anger against the rivers? [was] thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses [and] thy chariots of salvation?

۹ 9 کمان تو تمام برهنه شد، موافق قسمهایی که در کلام خود برای اسباط خورده‌ای، سلاه. زمین را به نهرها منشق ساختی.

Thy bow was made quite naked, [according] to the oaths of the tribes, [even thy] word. (Selah) Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.

۱۰ 10 کوهها تو را دیدند و لرزان گشتند و سیلاب هاجاری شد. لجه آواز خود را داد و دستهای خویش را به بالا برافراشت.

The mountains saw thee, [and] they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, [and] lifted up his hands on high.

۱۱ 11 آفتاب و ماه در برجهای خود ایستادند. ازنور تیرهایت و از پرتو نیزه براق تو برفتند.

The sun [and] moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, [and] at the shining of thy glittering spear.

۱۲ 12 باغضب در جهان خرامیدی، و با خشم امت‌ها راپایمال نمودی.

Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.

۱۳ 13 برای نجات قوم خویش وخلاصی مسیح خود بیرون آمدی. سر را ازخاندان شریران زدی و اساس آن را تا به گردن عریان نمودی، سلاه.

Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, [even] for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. (Selah)

۱۴ 14 سر سرداران ایشان را به عصای خودشان مجروح ساختی، حینی که مثل گردباد آمدند تامرا پراکنده سازند. خوشی ایشان در این بود که مسکینان را در خفیه ببلعند.

Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing [was] as to devour the poor secretly.

۱۵ 15 با اسبان خود بردریا و بر انبوه آبهای بسیار خرامیدی.

Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, [through] the heap of great waters.

۱۶ 16 چون شنیدم احشایم بلرزید و از آواز آن لبهایم بجنبید، و پوسیدگی به استخوانهایم داخل شده، در جای خود لرزیدم، که در روز تنگی استراحت یابم هنگامی که آن که قوم را ذلیل خواهدساخت، بر ایشان حمله آورد.

When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

۱۷ 17 اگرچه انجیر شکوفه نیاورد و میوه در موهایافت نشود و حاصل زیتون ضایع گردد ومزرعه‌ها آذوقه ندهد، و گله‌ها از آغل منقطع شودو رمه‌ها در طویله‌ها نباشد،

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither [shall] fruit [be] in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and [there shall be] no herd in the stalls:

۱۸ 18 لیکن من درخداوند شادمان خواهم شد و در خدای نجات خویش وجد خواهم نمود.

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

۱۹ 19 یهوه خداوندقوت من است و پایهایم را مثل پایهای آهومی گرداند و مرا بر مکان های بلندم خرامان خواهد ساخت. برای سالار مغنیان بر ذوات اوتار.

The LORD God [is] my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ [feet], and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
