تثنیه 31

۱ 1 و موسی رفته، این سخنان را به تمامی اسرائیل بیان کرد،

And Moses finished speaking all these words to all the children of Israel;

۲ 2 و به ایشان گفت: «من امروز صد و بیست ساله هستم و دیگر طاقت خروج و دخول ندارم، و خداوند به من گفته است که از این اردن عبور نخواهی کرد.

and said to them, I am this day a hundred and twenty years [old]; I shall not be able any longer to come in or go out; and the Lord said to me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

۳ 3 یهوه خدای تو، خود به حضور تو عبور خواهد کرد، و او این امتها را از حضور تو هلاک خواهد ساخت، تا آنهارا به تصرف آوری، و یوشع نیز پیش روی توعبور خواهد نمود چنانکه خداوند گفته است.

The Lord thy God who goes before thee, he shall destroy these nations before thee, and thou shalt inherit them: and [it shall be] Joshua that goes before thy face, as the Lord has spoken.

۴ 4 وخداوند چنانکه به سیحون و عوج، دو پادشاه اموریان، که هلاک ساخت و به زمین ایشان عمل نمود به اینها نیز رفتار خواهد کرد.

And the Lord thy God shall do to them as he did to Seon and Og the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond Jordan, and to their land, as he destroyed them.

۵ 5 پس چون خداوند ایشان را به‌دست شما تسلیم کند شما باایشان موافق تمامی حکمی که به شما امرفرمودم، رفتار نمایید.

And the Lord has delivered them to you; and ye shall do to them, as I charged you.

۶ 6 قوی و دلیر باشید و ازایشان ترسان و هراسان مباشید، زیرا یهوه، خدایت، خود با تو می‌رود و تو را وا نخواهدگذاشت و ترک نخواهد نمود.»

Be courageous and strong, fear not, neither be cowardly neither be afraid before them; for [it is] the Lord your God that advances with you in the midst of you, neither will he by any means forsake thee, nor desert thee.

۷ 7 و موسی یوشع را خوانده، در نظر تمامی اسرائیل به او گفت: «قوی و دلیر باش زیرا که توبا این قوم به زمینی که خداوند برای پدران ایشان قسم خورد که به ایشان بدهد داخل خواهی شد، و تو آن را برای ایشان تقسیم خواهی نمود.

And Moses called Joshua, and said to him before all Israel, Be courageous and strong; for thou shalt go in before this people into the land which the Lord sware to your fathers to give to them, and thou shalt give it to them for an inheritance.

۸ 8 و خداوند خود پیش روی تومی رود او با تو خواهد بود و تو را وانخواهدگذاشت و ترک نخواهد نمود پس ترسان وهراسان مباش.»

And the Lord that goes with thee shall not forsake thee nor abandon thee; fear not, neither be afraid.

۹ 9 و موسی این تورات را نوشته، آن را به بنی لاوی کهنه که تابوت عهد خداوند رابرمی داشتند و به جمیع مشایخ اسرائیل سپرد.

And Moses wrote the words of this law in a book, and gave it to the priests the sons of Levi who bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to the elders of the sons of Israel.

۱۰ 10 و موسی ایشان را امر فرموده، گفت: «که درآخر هر هفت سال، در وقت معین سال انفکاک درعید خیمه‌ها،

And Moses charged them in that day, saying, After seven years, in the time of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,

۱۱ 11 چون جمیع اسرائیل بیایند تا به حضور یهوه خدای تو در مکانی که او برگزیندحاضر شوند، آنگاه این تورات را پیش جمیع اسرائیل در سمع ایشان بخوان.

when all Israel come together to appear before the Lord your God, in the place which the Lord shall choose, ye shall read this law before all Israel in their ears,

۱۲ 12 قوم را از مردان و زنان و اطفال و غریبانی که در دروازه های توباشند جمع کن تا بشنوند، و تعلیم یافته، از یهوه خدای شما بترسند و به عمل نمودن جمیع سخنان این تورات هوشیار باشند.

having assembled the people, the men, and the women, and the children, and the stranger that is in your cities, that they may hear, and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God; and they shall hearken to do all the words of this law.

۱۳ 13 و تا پسران ایشان که ندانسته‌اند، بشنوند، و تعلیم یابند، تامادامی که شما بر زمینی که برای تصرفش از اردن عبور می‌کنید زنده باشید، از یهوه خدای شمابترسند.»

And their sons who have not known shall hear, and shall learn to fear the Lord thy God all the days that they live upon the land, into which ye go over Jordan to inherit it.

۱۴ 14 و خداوند به موسی گفت: «اینک ایام مردن تو نزدیک است، یوشع را طلب نما و در خیمه اجتماع حاضر شوید تا او را وصیت نمایم.» پس موسی و یوشع رفته، در خیمه اجتماع حاضرشدند.

And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, the days of thy death are at hand; call Joshua, and stand ye by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony, and I will give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went to the tabernacle of testimony, and stood by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony.

۱۵ 15 و خداوند در ستون ابر در خیمه ظاهرشد و ستون ابر، بر در خیمه ایستاد.

And the Lord descended in a cloud, and stood by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony; and the pillar of the cloud stood by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony.

۱۶ 16 و خداوند به موسی گفت: «اینک با پدران خود می‌خوابی و این قوم برخاسته، در‌پی خدایان بیگانه زمینی که ایشان به آنجا در میان آنها می‌روند، زنا خواهند کرد و مرا ترک کرده، عهدی را که با ایشان بستم خواهند شکست.

And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, and this people will arise and go a whoring after the strange gods of the land, into which they are entering: and they will forsake me, and break my covenant, which I made with them.

۱۷ 17 ودر آن روز، خشم من بر ایشان مشتعل شده، ایشان را ترک خواهم نمود، و روی خود را از ایشان پنهان کرده، تلف خواهند شد، و بدیها و تنگیهای بسیار به ایشان خواهد رسید، به حدی که در آن روز خواهند گفت: «آیا این بدیها به ما نرسید ازاین جهت که خدای ما در میان ما نیست؟»

And I will be very angry with them in that day, and I will leave them and turn my face away from them, and they shall be devoured; and many evils and afflictions shall come upon them; and they shall say in that day, Because the Lord my God is not with me, these evils have come upon me.

۱۸ 18 و به‌سبب تمامی بدی که کرده‌اند که به سوی خدایان غیر برگشته‌اند من در آن روز البته روی خود راپنهان خواهم کرد.

And I will surely turn away my face from them in that day, because of all their evil doings which they have done, because they turned aside after strange gods.

۱۹ 19 پس الان این سرود را برای خود بنویسید و تو آن را به بنی‌اسرائیل تعلیم داده، آن را در دهان ایشان بگذار تا این سرود برای من بر بنی‌اسرائیل شاهد باشد.

And now write the words of this song, and teach it to the children of Israel, and ye shall put it into their mouth, that this song may witness for me among the children of Israel to their face.

۲۰ 20 زیرا چون ایشان را به زمینی که برای پدران ایشان قسم خورده بودم که به شیر و شهد جاری است، درآورده باشم، و چون ایشان خورده، و سیر شده، و فربه گشته باشند، آنگاه ایشان به سوی خدایان غیر برگشته، آنها را عبادت خواهند نمود، و مرااهانت کرده، عهد مرا خواهند شکست.

For I will bring them into the good land, which I sware to their fathers, to give to them a land flowing with milk and honey: and they shall eat and be filled and satisfy [themselves]; then will they turn aside after other gods, and serve them, and they will provoke me, and break my covenant.

۲۱ 21 و چون بدیها و تنگیهای بسیار بر ایشان عارض شده باشد، آنگاه این سرود مثل شاهد پیش روی ایشان شهادت خواهد داد، زیرا که از دهان ذریت ایشان فراموش نخواهد شد، زیرا خیالات ایشان را نیزکه امروز دارند می‌دانم، قبل از آن که ایشان را به زمینی که درباره آن قسم خوردم، درآورم.»

And this song shall stand up to witness against them; for they shall not forget it out of their mouth, or out of the mouth of their seed; for I know their wickedness, what they are doing here this day, before I have brought them into the good land, which I sware to their fathers.

۲۲ 22 پس موسی این سرود را در همان روز نوشته، به بنی‌اسرائیل تعلیم داد.

And Moses wrote this song in that day, and taught it to the children of Israel.

۲۳ 23 و یوشع بن نون را وصیت نموده، گفت: «قوی و دلیر باش زیرا که تو بنی‌اسرائیل را به زمینی که برای ایشان قسم خوردم داخل خواهی ساخت، و من با تو خواهم بود.»

And he charged Joshua, and said, Be courageous and strong, for thou shalt bring the sons of Israel into the land, which the Lord sware to them, and he shall be with thee.

۲۴ 24 و واقع شد که چون موسی نوشتن کلمات این تورات را در کتاب، تمام به انجام رسانید،

And when Moses finished writing all the words of this law in a book, even to the end,

۲۵ 25 موسی به لاویانی که تابوت عهد خداوند رابرمی داشتند وصیت کرده، گفت:

then he charged the Levites who bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying,

۲۶ 26 «این کتاب تورات را بگیرید و آن را در پهلوی تابوت عهدیهوه، خدای خود، بگذارید تا در آنجا برای شماشاهد باشد.

Take the book of this law, and ye shall put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God; and it shall be there among you for a testimony.

۲۷ 27 زیرا که من تمرد و گردن کشی شمارا می‌دانم، اینک امروز که من هنوز با شما زنده هستم بر خداوند فتنه انگیخته‌اید، پس چند مرتبه زیاده بعد از وفات من.

For I know thy provocation, and thy stiff neck; for yet during my life with you at this day, ye have been provoking in your conduct toward God: how shall ye not also be so after my death?

۲۸ 28 جمیع مشایخ اسباط وسروران خود را نزد من جمع کنید تا این سخنان رادر گوش ایشان بگویم، و آسمان و زمین را برایشان شاهد بگیرم.

Gather together to me the heads of your tribes, and your elders, and your judges, and your officers, that I may speak in their ears all these words; and I call both heaven and earth to witness against them.

۲۹ 29 زیرا می‌دانم که بعد ازوفات من خویشتن را بالکل فاسد گردانیده، ازطریقی که به شما امر فرمودم خواهید برگشت، ودر روزهای آخر بدی بر شما عارض خواهد شد، زیرا که آنچه در نظر خداوند بد است خواهیدکرد، و از اعمال دست خود، خشم خداوند را به هیجان خواهید آورد.»

For I know that after my death ye will utterly transgress, and turn aside out of the way which I have commanded you; and evils shall come upon you in the latter days, because ye will do evil before the Lord, to provoke him to anger by the works of your hands. And Moses spoke all the words of this song even to the end, in the ears of the whole assembly.

۳۰ 30 پس موسی کلمات این سرود را در گوش تمامی جماعت اسرائیل تمام گفت: سرود موسی ای آسمان گوش بگیر تا بگویم.
