عاموس 4

۱ 1 ای گاوان باشان که بر کوههای سامره می باشید و بر مسکینان ظلم نموده، فقیران را ستم می‌کنید و به آقایان ایشان می‌گوییدبیاورید تا بنوشیم، این کلام را بشنوید!

Hear this word, ye fat kine that are in the mountains of Samaria: you that oppress the needy, and crush the poor: that say to your masters: Bring, and we will drink.

۲ 2 خداوندیهوه به قدوسیت خود قسم خورده است که اینک ایامی بر شما می‌آید که شما را با غلها خواهندکشید و باقی ماندگان شما را با قلابهای ماهی.

The Lord God hath sworn by his holiness, that lo, the days shall come upon you, when they shall lift you up on pikes, and what shall remain of you in boiling pots.

۳ 3 وخداوند می‌گوید که هر یک از شما از شکافهای روبروی خود بیرون خواهد رفت و شما به هرمون افکنده خواهید شد.

And you shall go out at the breaches one over against the other, and you shall be cast forth into Armon, saith the Lord.

۴ 4 به بیت ئیل بیایید و عصیان بوزرید و به جلجال آمده، عصیان را زیاد کنید و هر بامدادقربانی های خود را بیاورید و هر سه روزعشرهای خود را.

Come ye to Bethel, and do wickedly: to Galgal, and multiply transgressions: and bring in the morning your victims, your tithes in three days.

۵ 5 و قربانی های تشکر باخمیرمایه بگذرانید و هدایای تبرعی را ندا کرده، اعلان نمایید زیرا‌ای بنی‌اسرائیل همین پسندیده شما است! قول خداوند یهوه این است.

And offer a sacrifice of praise with leaven: and call free offerings, and proclaim it: for so you would do, O children of Israel, saith the Lord God.

۶ 6 و من نیزنظافت دندان را در جمیع شهرهای شما و احتیاج نان را در جمیع مکانهای شما به شما دادم. معهذاخداوند می‌گوید بسوی من بازگشت ننمودید.

Whereupon I also have given you dulness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet you have not returned to me, saith the Lord.

۷ 7 و من نیز حینی که سه ماه تا درو مانده بود، باران را از شما منع نمودم و بر یک شهر بارانیدم وبر شهر دیگر نبارانیدم و بر یک قطعه باران آمد وقطعه دیگر که باران نیافت خشک شد.

I also have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon: and the piece whereupon I rained not, withered.

۸ 8 پس اهل دو یا سه شهر بسوی یک شهر برای نوشیدن آب آواره شدند، اما سیراب نگشتند و خداوندمی گوید که بسوی من بازگشت ننمودید.

And two and three cities went to one city to drink water, and were not filled: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.

۹ 9 و شمارا به باد سموم و یرقان مبتلا ساختم و ملخ بسیاری از باغها و تاکستانها و انجیرها و زیتونهای شما را خورد. معهذا خداوند می‌گوید بسوی من بازگشت ننمودید.

I struck you with a burning wind, and with mildew, the palmerworm hath eaten up your many gardens, and your vineyards: your olive groves, and fig groves: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.

۱۰ 10 و وبا را به رسم مصر بر شمافرستادم و جوانان شما را به شمشیر کشتم واسبان شما را بردند و عفونت اردوهای شما به بینی شما برآمد. معهذا خداوند می‌گوید بسوی من بازگشت ننمودید.

I sent death upon you in the way of Egypt, I slew your young men with the sword, even to the captivity of your horses: and I made the stench of your camp to come up into your nostrils: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.

۱۱ 11 و بعضی از شما را به نهجی که خدا سدوم و عموره را واژگون ساخت سرنگون نمودم و مانند مشعلی که از میان آتش گرفته شود بودید. معهذا خداوند می‌گوید بسوی من بازگشت ننمودید.

I destroyed some of you, as God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrha, and you were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.

۱۲ 12 بنابراین‌ای اسرائیل به اینطور با تو عمل خواهم نمود و چونکه به اینطور با تو عمل خواهم نمود، پس‌ای اسرائیل خویشتن را مهیاساز تا با خدای خود ملاقات نمایی.

Therefore I will do these things to thee, O Israel: and after I shall have done these things to thee, be prepared to meet thy God, O Israel.

۱۳ 13 زیرا اینک آن که کوهها را ساخته و باد را آفریده است وانسان را از فکرهای خودش اطلاع می‌دهد و فجررا به تاریکی مبدل می‌سازد و بر بلندیهای زمین می‌خرامد، یهوه خدای لشکرها اسم او می‌باشد.

For behold he that formeth the mountains and createth the wind, and declareth his word to man, he that maketh the morning mist, and walketh upon the high places of the earth: the Lord the God of hosts is his name.
