دوم پادشاهان 21

۱ 1 منسی دوازده ساله بود که پادشاه شد وپنجاه و پنج سال در اورشلیم سلطنت نمود. و اسم مادرش حفصیبه بود.

Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned five and fifty years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Hephzibah.

۲ 2 و آنچه درنظر خداوند ناپسند بود، موافق رجاسات امت هایی که خداوند، آنها را از حضوربنی‌اسرائیل اخراج کرده بود، عمل نمود.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, after the abominations of the nations whom Jehovah cast out before the children of Israel.

۳ 3 زیرامکانهای بلند را که پدرش، حزقیا خراب کرده بود، بار دیگر بنا کرد و مذبح‌ها برای بعل بنا نمودو اشیره را به نوعی که اخاب، پادشاه اسرائیل ساخته بود، ساخت و به تمامی لشکر آسمان سجده نموده، آنها را عبادت کرد.

For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made an Asherah, as did Ahab king of Israel, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

۴ 4 و مذبح‌ها درخانه خداوند بنا نمود که درباره‌اش خداوند گفته بود: «اسم خود را در اورشلیم خواهم گذاشت.»

And he built altars in the house of Jehovah, whereof Jehovah said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.

۵ 5 و مذبح‌ها برای تمامی لشکر آسمان در هر دوصحن خانه خداوند بنا نمود.

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of Jehovah.

۶ 6 و پسر خود را ازآتش گذرانید و فالگیری و افسونگری می‌کرد و بااصحاب اجنه و جادوگران مراوده می‌نمود. و درنظر خداوند شرارت بسیار ورزیده، خشم او را به هیجان آورد.

And he made his son to pass through the fire, and practised augury, and used enchantments, and dealt with them that had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.

۷ 7 و تمثال اشیره را که ساخته بود، درخانه‌ای که خداوند درباره‌اش به داود و پسرش، سلیمان گفته بود که «در این خانه و در اورشلیم که آن را از تمامی اسباط اسرائیل برگزیده‌ام، اسم خود را تا به ابد خواهم گذاشت برپا نمود.

And he set the graven image of Asherah, that he had made, in the house of which Jehovah said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever;

۸ 8 وپایهای اسرائیل را از زمینی که به پدران ایشان داده‌ام بار دیگر آواره نخواهم گردانید. به شرطی که توجه نمایند تا بر‌حسب هرآنچه به ایشان امرفرمودم و بر‌حسب تمامی شریعتی که بنده من، موسی به ایشان امر فرموده بود، رفتار نمایند.»

neither will I cause the feet of Israel to wander any more out of the land which I gave their fathers, if only they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.

۹ 9 اما ایشان اطاعت ننمودند زیرا که منسی، ایشان را اغوا نمود تا از امتهایی که خداوند پیش بنی‌اسرائیل هلاک کرده بود، بدتر رفتار نمودند.

But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do that which is evil more than did the nations whom Jehovah destroyed before the children of Israel.

۱۰ 10 و خداوند به واسطه بندگان خود، انبیا تکلم نموده، گفت:

And Jehovah spake by his servants the prophets, saying,

۱۱ 11 «چونکه منسی، پادشاه یهودا، این رجاسات را بجا آورد و بدتر از جمیع اعمال اموریانی که قبل از او بودند عمل نمود، و به بتهای خود، یهودا را نیز مرتکب گناه ساخت،

Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, that were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols;

۱۲ 12 بنابراین یهوه، خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: اینک من بر اورشلیم و یهودا بلا خواهم رسانید که گوشهای هرکه آن را بشنود، صدا خواهد کرد.

therefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Behold, I bring such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.

۱۳ 13 و بر اورشلیم، ریسمان سامره و ترازوی خانه اخاب را خواهم کشید و اورشلیم را پاک خواهم کرد، به طوری که کسی پشقاب را زدوده وواژگون ساخته، آن را پاک می‌کند.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab; and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

۱۴ 14 و بقیه میراث خود را پراکنده خواهم ساخت و ایشان رابه‌دست دشمنان ایشان تسلیم خواهم نمود، وبرای جمیع دشمنانشان یغما و غارت خواهندشد،

And I will cast off the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;

۱۵ 15 چونکه آنچه در نظر من ناپسند است، به عمل آوردند و از روزی که پدران ایشان از مصربیرون آمدند تا امروز، خشم مرا به هیجان آوردند.»

because they have done that which is evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.

۱۶ 16 و علاوه براین، منسی خون بی‌گناهان را ازحد زیاده ریخت تا اورشلیم را سراسر پر کرد، سوای گناه او که یهودا را به آن مرتکب گناه ساخت تا آنچه در نظر خداوند ناپسند است بجاآورند.

Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; besides his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah.

۱۷ 17 و بقیه وقایع منسی و هرچه کرد و گناهی که مرتکب آن شد، آیا در کتاب تواریخ ایام پادشاهان یهودا مکتوب نیست؟

Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

۱۸ 18 پس منسی باپدران خود خوابید و در باغ خانه خود، یعنی درباغ عزا دفن شد و پسرش، آمون، به‌جایش پادشاه شد.

And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.

۱۹ 19 آمون بیست و دو ساله بود که پادشاه شد ودو سال در اورشلیم سلطنت نمود و اسم مادرش مشلمت، دختر حاروص، از یطبه بود.

Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Meshullemeth the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.

۲۰ 20 و آنچه در نظر خداوند ناپسند بود، موافق آنچه پدرش منسی کرد، عمل نمود.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, as did Manasseh his father.

۲۱ 21 و به تمامی طریقی که پدرش به آن سلوک نموده بود، رفتار کرد، وبت هایی را که پدرش پرستید، عبادت کرد و آنهارا سجده نمود.

And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:

۲۲ 22 و یهوه، خدای پدران خود راترک کرده، به طریق خداوند سلوک ننمود.

and he forsook Jehovah, the God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of Jehovah.

۲۳ 23 پس خادمان آمون بر او شوریدند و پادشاه را در خانه‌اش کشتند.

And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and put the king to death in his own house.

۲۴ 24 اما اهل زمین همه آنانی را که بر آمون پادشاه، شوریده بودند به قتل رسانیدند واهل زمین پسرش، یوشیا را در جایش به پادشاهی نصب کردند.

But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.

۲۵ 25 و بقیه اعمالی که آمون بجا آورد، آیا در کتاب تواریخ ایام پادشاهان یهودا مکتوب نیست؟

Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

۲۶ 26 و در قبر خود در باغ عزا دفن شد وپسرش یوشیا به‌جایش سلطنت نمود.

And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.
