دوم تواریخ 2

۱ 1 و سلیمان قصد نمود که خانه‌ای برای اسم یهوه و خانه‌ای به جهت سلطنت خودش بنا نماید.

Now Solomon purposed to build a house for the name of the LORD, and a house for his kingdom.

۲ 2 و سلیمان هفتاد هزار نفر برای حمل بارها، و هشتاد هزار نفر برای بریدن چوب درکوهها، و سه هزار و ششصد نفر برای نظارت آنهاشمرد.

Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, and eighty thousand men who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.

۳ 3 و سلیمان نزد حورام، پادشاه صور فرستاده، گفت: «چنانکه با پدرم داود رفتار نمودی و چوب سرو آزاد برایش فرستادی تا خانه‌ای به جهت سکونت خویش بنا نماید، (همچنین با من رفتارنما).

Solomon sent to Hiram the king of Tyre, saying, "As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house in which to dwell, so deal with me.

۴ 4 اینک من خانه‌ای برای اسم یهوه خدای خود بنا می‌نمایم تا آن را برای او تقدیس کنم وبخور معطر در حضور وی بسوزانم، و به جهت نان تقدمه دائمی و قربانی های سوختنی صبح وشام، و به جهت سبت‌ها و غره‌ها و عیدهای یهوه خدای ما زیرا که این برای اسرائیل فریضه‌ای ابدی است.

Look, I am about to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.

۵ 5 و خانه‌ای که من بنا می‌کنم عظیم است، زیرا که خدای ما از جمیع خدایان عظیم ترمی باشد.

"The house which I build is great; for our God is great above all gods.

۶ 6 و کیست که خانه‌ای برای او تواندساخت؟ زیرا فلک و فلک الافلاک گنجایش او راندارد؛ و من کیستم که خانه‌ای برای وی بنا نمایم؟ نی بلکه برای سوزانیدن بخور در حضور وی.

But who is able to build him a house, since heaven and the heaven of heavens can't contain him? Who am I then, that I should build him a house, except just to burn incense before him?

۷ 7 و حال کسی را برای من بفرست که در کار طلا و نقره و برنج و آهن و ارغوان و قرمز و آسمانجونی ماهرو در صنعت نقاشی دانا باشد، تا با صنعتگرانی که نزد من در یهودا و اورشلیم هستند که پدر من داودایشان را حاضر ساخت، باشد.

"Now therefore send me a man skillful to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and who knows how to engrave engravings, to be with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.

۸ 8 و چوب سروآزاد و صنوبر و چوب صندل برای من از لبنان بفرست، زیرا بندگان تو را می‌دانم که در بریدن چوب لبنان ماهرند و اینک بندگان من با بندگان توخواهند بود.

"Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon; for I know that your servants know how to cut timber in Lebanon: and look, my servants shall be with your servants,

۹ 9 تا چوب فراوان برای من مهیاسازند زیرا خانه‌ای که من بنا می‌کنم عظیم وعجیب خواهد بود.

even to prepare me timber in abundance; for the house which I am about to build shall be great and wonderful.

۱۰ 10 و اینک به چوب بران که این چوب را می‌برند، من بیست هزار کر گندم کوبیده شده، و بیست هزار کر جو و بیست هزاربت شراب و بیست هزار بت روغن برای بندگانت خواهم داد.»

Look, I will give to your servants, the cutters who cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil."

۱۱ 11 و حورام پادشاه صور مکتوب جواب داده، آن را نزد سلیمان فرستاد که «چون خداوند قوم خود را دوست می‌دارد از این جهت تو را به پادشاهی‌ایشان نصب نموده است.»

Then Hiram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, "Because the LORD loves his people, he has made you king over them."

۱۲ 12 و حورام گفت: «متبارک باد یهوه خدای اسرائیل که آفریننده آسمان و زمین می‌باشد، زیرا که به داودپادشاه پسری حکیم و صاحب معرفت و فهم بخشیده است تا خانه‌ای برای خداوند و خانه‌ای برای سلطنت خودش بنا نماید.

Hiram continued, "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, that should build a house for the LORD, and a house for his kingdom.

۱۳ 13 و الان حورام را که مردی حکیم و صاحب فهم از کسان پدر من است فرستادم.

Now I have sent a skillful man, endowed with understanding, Hiram Abi,

۱۴ 14 و او پسرزنی از دختران دان است، و پدرش مرد صوری بود و به‌کار طلا و نقره و برنج و آهن و سنگ وچوب و ارغوان و آسمانجونی و کتان نازک وقرمز و هر صنعت نقاشی و اختراع همه اختراعات ماهر است، تا برای او با صنعتگران توو صنعتگران آقایم پدرت داود کاری معین بشود.

the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre, skillful to work in gold, and in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving, and to execute any design; that there may be a place appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.

۱۵ 15 پس حال آقایم گندم و جو و روغن و شراب راکه ذکر نموده بود، برای بندگان خود بفرستد.

"Now therefore the wheat and the barley, the oil and the wine, which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants:

۱۶ 16 وما چوب از لبنان به قدر احتیاج تو خواهیم برید، وآنها را بستنه ساخته، بروی دریا به یافا خواهیم آورد و تو آن را به اورشلیم خواهی برد.»

and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you shall need; and we will bring it to you in floats by sea to Joppa; and you shall carry it up to Jerusalem."

۱۷ 17 پس سلیمان تمامی مردان غریب را که درزمین اسرائیل بودند، بعد از شماره‌ای که پدرش داود آنها را شمرده بود شمرد، و صد و پنجاه وسه هزار و ششصد نفر از آنها یافت شدند.

Solomon numbered all the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, after the numbering with which David his father had numbered them; and they were found one hundred fifty-three thousand six hundred.

۱۸ 18 و ازایشان هفتاد هزار نفر برای حمل بارها و هشتادهزار نفر برای بریدن چوب در کوهها و سه هزار وشش صد نفر برای نظارت تا از مردم کار بگیرند، تعیین نمود.

He set seventy thousand of them to bear burdens, and eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred overseers to set the people at work.
