1 تیموتاوس 6

۱ 1 آنانی که غلامان زیر یوغ می‌باشند، آقایان خویش را لایق کمال احترام بدانند که مبادانام و تعلیم خدا بد گفته شود.

All who are under the yoke of slavery must regard their own masters as worthy of all honor, so that no one will revile God's name or his doctrine.

۲ 2 اما کسانی که آقایان مومن دارند، ایشان را تحقیر ننمایند، ازآنجا که برادرانند بلکه بیشتر خدمت کنند از آنروکه آنانی که در این احسان مشارکند، مومن ومحبوبند.

Slaves who have believing masters must not despise them, for they are brothers; rather they must serve them, because those who benefit from their good service are faithful and beloved. Teach and encourage these things.

۳ 3 و اگرکسی بطور دیگر تعلیم دهد و کلام صحیح خداوند ما عیسی مسیح و آن تعلیمی را که به طریق دینداری است قبول ننماید،

If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that is in accordance with godliness,

۴ 4 از غرورمست شده، هیچ نمی داند بلکه در مباحثات ومجادلات دیوانه گشته است که از آنها پدیدمی آید حسد و نزاع و کفر و ظنون شر

he is puffed up and understands nothing. Moreover, he has an unhealthy desire for controversies and quarrels about words, from which come envy, strife, slanderous words, evil suspicions,

۵ 5 و منازعات مردم فاسدالعقل و مرتد از حق که می‌پندارند دینداری سود است. از چنین اشخاص اعراض نما.

and constant disagreement among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, supposing that godliness is a means of gain. Keep away from such people.

۶ 6 لیکن دینداری با قناعت سود عظیمی است.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

۷ 7 زیرا که در این دنیا هیچ نیاوردیم و واضح است که از آن هیچ نمی توانیم برد.

For we brought nothing into the world, and it is clear that we cannot bring anything out either,

۸ 8 پس اگر خوراک وپوشاک داریم، به آنها قانع خواهیم بود.

but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

۹ 9 اماآنانی که می‌خواهند دولتمند شوند، گرفتارمی شوند در تجربه و دام و انواع شهوات بی‌فهم ومضر که مردم را به تباهی و هلاکت غرق می‌سازند.

But those who wish to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many senseless and harmful desires that sink people into ruin and destruction.

۱۰ 10 زیرا که طمع ریشه همه بدیهااست که بعضی چون در‌پی آن می‌کوشیدند، ازایمان گمراه گشته، خود را به اقسام دردهاسفتند.

For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to become rich some have wandered away from the faith, piercing themselves with many sorrows.

۱۱ 11 ولی تو‌ای مرد خدا، از اینها بگریز وعدالت و دینداری و ایمان و محبت و صبر وتواضع را پیروی نما.

But as for yoʋ, O man of God, flee from these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, endurance, and gentleness.

۱۲ 12 و جنگ نیکوی ایمان رابکن و بدست آور آن حیات جاودانی را که برای آن دعوت شدی و اعتراف نیکو کردی در حضورگواهان بسیار. (aiōnios g166)

Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which yoʋ were called and concerning which yoʋ made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)

۱۳ 13 تو را وصیت می‌کنم به حضور آن خدایی که همه را زندگی می‌بخشد و مسیح عیسی که در‌پیش پنطیوس پیلاطس اعتراف نیکونمود،

I charge yoʋ before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who made the good confession in his testimony before Pontius Pilate,

۱۴ 14 که تو وصیت را بی‌داغ و ملامت حفظکن تا به ظهور خداوند ما عیسی مسیح.

that yoʋ obey what has been commanded without fault or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

۱۵ 15 که آن را آن متبارک و قادر وحید و ملک الملوک ورب‌الارباب در زمان معین به ظهور خواهد آورد.

which God will reveal in his own time. He is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

۱۶ 16 که تنها لایموت و ساکن در نوری است که نزدیک آن نتوان شد و احدی از انسان او را ندیده و نمی تواند دید. او را تا ابدالاباد اکرام و قدرت باد. آمین. (aiōnios g166)

who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or is able to see. To him be honor and eternal power. Amen. (aiōnios g166)

۱۷ 17 دولتمندان این جهان را امر فرما که بلندپروازی نکنند و به دولت ناپایدار امید ندارند، بلکه به خدای زنده که همه‌چیز را دولتمندانه برای تمتع به ما عطا می‌کند؛ (aiōn g165)

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty or to put their hope in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. (aiōn g165)

۱۸ 18 که نیکوکار بوده، در اعمال صالحه دولتمند و سخی و گشاده‌دست باشند؛

Command them to do good, to be rich in good works, and to be generous and willing to share,

۱۹ 19 و برای خود اساس نیکو بجهت عالم آینده نهند تا حیات جاودانی را بدست آرند.

treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, so that they may take hold of eternal life.

۲۰ 20 ‌ای تیموتاوس تو آن امانت را محفوظ دار واز بیهوده‌گویی های حرام و از مباحثات معرفت دروغ اعراض نما،

O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to yoʋ and avoid the profane chatter and counterarguments of what is falsely called “knowledge.”

۲۱ 21 که بعضی چون ادعای آن کردند از ایمان منحرف گشتند. فیض با تو باد. آمین.

By professing it, some have strayed from the faith. Grace be with yoʋ. Amen.
