اول سموئیل 9
| و مردی بود از بنیامین که اسمش قیس بن ابیئیل بن صرور بن بکورت بن افیح بود، و اوپسر مرد بنیامینی و مردی زورآور مقتدر بود. | ۱ 1 |
Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiach, the son of a Benjamite, a mighty man of valor.
| واو را پسری شاول نام، جوانی خوش اندام بود که در میان بنی‌اسرائیل کسی از او خوش اندام تر نبودکه از کتفش تا به بالا از تمامی قوم بلندتر بود. | ۲ 2 |
And he had a son whose name was Saul, young and handsome; and there was not a man among the children of Israel handsomer than he: from his shoulders and upward he was taller than any of the people.
| و الاغهای قیس پدر شاول گم شد. پس قیس به پسر خود شاول گفت: «الان یکی از جوانان خود را با خود گرفته، برخیز و رفته، الاغها راجستجو نما.» | ۳ 3 |
And there were lost the asses belonging to Kish, Saul's father; and Kish said to Saul his son, Do take with thee one of the servants, and arise, go seek the asses.
| پس از کوهستان افرایم گذشته، واز زمین شلیشه عبور نموده، آنها را نیافتند. و اززمین شعلیم گذشتند و نبود و از زمین بنیامین گذشته، آنها را نیافتند. | ۴ 4 |
And he passed through the mountain of Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalisha, but they found [them] not; then they passed through the land of Sha'alim, and there was nothing there; and he passed through the land of Benjamin, but they found them not.
| و چون به زمین صوف رسیدند، شاول به خادمی که همراهش بود، گفت: «بیا برگردیم مباداپدرم از فکر الاغها گذشته، به فکر ما افتد.» | ۵ 5 |
When they were come in the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return; lest my father relinquish the care for the asses, and become anxious for us.
| او درجواب وی گفت: «اینک مرد خدایی در این شهراست و او مردی مکرم است و هرچه می‌گویدالبته واقع می‌شود. الان آنجا برویم؛ شاید از راهی که باید برویم ما را اطلاع بدهد.» | ۶ 6 |
And the other said unto him, Behold now, a man of God is in this city, and the man is honored; all that he ever saith will surely come to pass: now let us go thither; perhaps he can tell us our way that we should go.
| شاول به خادمش گفت: «اینک اگر برویم چه چیز برای آن مرد ببریم، زیرا نان از ظروف ما تمام شده، وهدیه‌ای نیست که به آن مرد خدا بدهیم. پس چه چیز داریم.» | ۷ 7 |
Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we should go, what shall we bring to the man? for the bread is spent out of our vessels, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we with us?
| و آن خادم باز در جواب شاول گفت که «اینک در دستم ربع مثقال نقره است. آن را به مرد خدا می‌دهم تا راه ما را به ما نشان دهد.» | ۸ 8 |
And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have here in my hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver; and I will give this to the man of God, that he may tell us our way.
| در زمان سابق چون کسی در اسرائیل برای درخواست کردن از خدا می‌رفت، چنین می‌گفت: «بیایید تا نزد رائی برویم.» زیرا نبی امروز را سابق رائی می‌گفتند. | ۹ 9 |
In former times it was custom in Israel, that when a man went to inquire of God, he said thus, Come, and let us go as far as the seer; for the Prophet of the present day was in former times called a Seer.
| و شاول به خادم خود گفت: «سخن تو نیکوست. بیا برویم.» پس به شهری که مرد خدا در آن بود، رفتند. | ۱۰ 10 |
Then said Saul to his servant, Thy word is good: come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God was.
| و چون ایشان به فراز شهر بالا می‌رفتند، دختران چند یافتند که برای آب کشیدن بیرون می‌آمدند و به ایشان گفتند: «آیا رائی دراینجاست؟» | ۱۱ 11 |
As they went up the ascent to the city, they found some maidens going out to draw water; and they said unto them, Is the seer here?
| در جواب ایشان گفتند: «بلی اینک پیش روی شماست. حال بشتابید زیراامروز به شهر آمده است چونکه امروز قوم را درمکان بلند قربانی هست. | ۱۲ 12 |
And they answered them, and said, He is; behold, he is before you: make haste now, for this day came he to the city; because the people have a sacrifice today on the high-place;
| به مجرد ورود شما به شهر، قبل از آنکه به مکان بلند برای خوردن بیایید، به او خواهید برخورد زیرا که تا او نیایدقوم غذا نخواهند خورد، چونکه او می‌باید اول قربانی را برکت دهد و بعد از آن دعوت‌شدگان بخورند. پس اینک بروید زیرا که الان او راخواهید یافت.» | ۱۳ 13 |
As soon as ye are come into the city, ye will straightway find him, before yet he can go up to the high-place to eat; for the people will not eat until he be come, because he always blesseth the sacrifice; afterward eat those that are invited; and now go you up; for just today will ye surely find him.
| پس به شهر رفتند و چون داخل شهر می‌شدند، اینک سموئیل به مقابل ایشان بیرون آمد تا به مکان بلند برود. | ۱۴ 14 |
And they went up into the city. They were entering into the city, when, behold, Samuel came out toward them, to go up to the high-place.
| و یک روز قبل از آمدن شاول خداوند برسموئیل کشف نموده، گفت: | ۱۵ 15 |
And the Lord had revealed to Samuel's ear one day before Saul's coming, saying,
| «فردا مثل این وقت شخصی را از زمین بنیامین نزد تو می‌فرستم، او را مسح نما تا بر قوم من اسرائیل رئیس باشد، وقوم مرا از دست فلسطینیان رهایی دهد. زیرا که برقوم خود نظر کردم چونکه تضرع ایشان نزد من رسید.» | ۱۶ 16 |
About this time tomorrow will I send unto thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him as chief over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines; for I have beheld my people, because their cry is come unto me.
| و چون سموئیل شاول را دید، خداوند او را گفت: «اینک این است شخصی که درباره‌اش به تو گفتم که بر قوم من حکومت خواهد نمود.» | ۱۷ 17 |
And when Samuel saw Saul, the Lord addressed him, Behold, the man of whom I spoke to thee, This one shall rule over my people.
| و شاول در میان دروازه به سموئیل نزدیک آمده، گفت: «مرا بگو که خانه رائی کجاست؟» | ۱۸ 18 |
And Saul drew near to Samuel within the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where is the house of the seer.
| سموئیل در جواب شاول گفت: «من رائی هستم. پیش من به مکان بلند برو زیرا که شماامروز با من خواهید خورد، و بامدادان تو را رهاکرده، هرچه در دل خود داری برای تو بیان خواهم کرد. | ۱۹ 19 |
And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me unto the high-place, and ye shall eat with me today; and I will let thee go in the morning, and all that is in thy heart will I tell thee.
| و اما الاغهایت که سه روز قبل ازاین گم شده است، درباره آنها فکر مکن زیرا پیداشده است، و آرزوی تمامی اسرائیل بر کیست؟ آیا بر تو و بر تمامی خاندان پدر تو نیست؟» | ۲۰ 20 |
And as for thy asses that were lost unto thee this day three days ago, do not set thy heart on them; for they have been found. And to whom belongeth all that is desirable in Israel? Is it not to thee, and to all thy father's house?
| شاول در جواب گفت: «آیا من بنیامینی و ازکوچک ترین اسباط بنی‌اسرائیل نیستم؟ و آیاقبیله من از جمیع قبایل سبط بنیامین کوچکترنیست؟ پس چرا مثل این سخنان به من می‌گویی؟» | ۲۱ 21 |
And Saul answered and said, Am not I a son of Benjamin, of one of the smallest tribes of Israel? and [is not] my family the least of all the families of the tribes of Benjamin? wherefore then hast thou spoken to me such thing?
| و سموئیل شاول و خادمش را گرفته، ایشان را به مهمانخانه آورد و بر صدردعوت‌شدگان که قریب به سی نفر بودند، جا داد. | ۲۲ 22 |
And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the apartment; and he assigned them a place at the head of the invited guests, who were about thirty persons.
| و سموئیل به طباخ گفت: «قسمتی را که به تودادم و درباره‌اش به تو گفتم که پیش خودنگاهدار، بیاور.» | ۲۳ 23 |
And Samuel said unto the cook, Hand here the portion which I gave thee, of which I said unto thee, Put it away by thee.
| پس طباخ ران را با هرچه برآن بود، گرفته، پیش شاول گذاشت و سموئیل گفت: «اینک آنچه نگاهداشته شده است، پیش خود بگذار و بخور زیرا که تا زمان معین برای تونگاه داشته شده است، از وقتی که گفتم از قوم وعده بخواهم.» | ۲۴ 24 |
And the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was on it, and set it before Saul; and he said, Behold what is left! set it before thee, and eat; for unto this time hath it been kept from thee, since I said, I have invited the people. And Saul ate with Samuel on that day.
| وچون ایشان از مکان بلند به شهر آمدند، او با شاول بر پشت بام گفتگو کرد. | ۲۵ 25 |
And they went down from the high-place into the city, and he spoke with Saul upon the roof.
| و صبح زود برخاستندو نزد طلوع فجر سموئیل شاول را بر پشت بام خوانده، گفت: «برخیز تا تو را روانه نمایم.» پس شاول برخاست و هر دوی ایشان، او و سموئیل بیرون رفتند. | ۲۶ 26 |
And they got up early; and it came to pass when the morning-dawn arose, that Samuel called Saul to the roof, saying, Up, that I may send thee away. And Saul arose, and they went out, both of them, he and Samuel, into the street.
| و چون ایشان به کنار شهر رسیدند، سموئیل به شاول گفت: «خادم را بگو که پیش مابرود. (و او پیش رفت ) و اما تو الان بایست تا کلام خدا را به تو بشنوانم.» | ۲۷ 27 |
As they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Say to the servant that he pass on before us, —and he passed on, —but thou remain standing a while, and I will let thee hear the word of God.
