اول یوحنا 3

۱ 1 ملاحظه کنید چه نوع محبت پدر به ما داده است تا فرزندان خدا خوانده شویم؛ وچنین هستیم و از این جهت دنیا ما را نمی شناسدزیرا که او را نشناخت.

Behold, what loue the Father hath giuen to vs, that we should be called the sonnes of God: for this cause this world knoweth you not, because it knoweth not him.

۲ 2 ‌ای حبیبان، الان فرزندان خدا هستیم و هنوز ظاهر نشده است آنچه خواهیم بود؛ لکن می‌دانیم که چون او ظاهر شود، مانند او خواهیم بود زیرا او را چنانکه هست خواهیم دید.

Dearely beloued, nowe are we the sonnes of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shalbe made manifest, we shalbe like him: for we shall see him as he is.

۳ 3 و هرکس که این امید را بر وی دارد، خود را پاک می‌سازد چنانکه او پاک است.

And euery man that hath this hope in him, purgeth himselfe, euen as he is pure.

۴ 4 و هرکه گناه را بعمل می‌آورد، برخلاف شریعت عمل می‌کند زیرا گناه مخالف شریعت است.

Whosoeuer committeth sinne, transgresseth also the Law: for sinne is the transgression of the Lawe.

۵ 5 و می‌دانید که او ظاهر شد تا گناهان رابردارد و در وی هیچ گناه نیست.

And ye knowe that hee was made manifest, that he might take away our sinnes, and in him is no sinne.

۶ 6 هرکه در وی ثابت است گناه نمی کند و هرکه گناه می‌کند او راندیده است و نمی شناسد.

Whosoeuer abideth in him, sinneth not: whosoeuer sinneth, hath not seene him, neither hath knowen him.

۷ 7 ‌ای فرزندان، کسی شما را گمراه نکند؛ کسی‌که عدالت را به‌جا می‌آورد، عادل است چنانکه اوعادل است.

Litle children, let no man deceiue you: he that doeth righteousnes, is righteous, as hee is righteous.

۸ 8 و کسی‌که گناه می‌کند از ابلیس است زیرا که ابلیس از ابتدا گناهکار بوده است. واز این جهت پسر خدا ظاهر شد تا اعمال ابلیس راباطل سازد.

He that comitteth sinne, is of the deuil: for the deuill sinneth from the beginning: for this purpose was made manifest that Sonne of God, that he might loose the workes of the deuil.

۹ 9 هر‌که از خدا مولود شده است، گناه نمی کند زیرا تخم او در وی می‌ماند و اونمی تواند گناهکار بوده باشد زیرا که از خدا تولدیافته است.

Whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: for his seede remaineth in him, neither can hee sinne, because he is borne of God.

۱۰ 10 فرزندان خدا و فرزندان ابلیس ازاین ظاهر می‌گردند. هر‌که عدالت را به‌جانمی آورد از خدا نیست و همچنین هر‌که برادرخود را محبت نمی نماید.

In this are the children of God knowen, and the children of the deuil: whosoeuer doeth not righteousnesse, is not of God, neither he that loueth not his brother.

۱۱ 11 زیرا همین است آن پیغامی که از اول شنیدید که یکدیگر را محبت نماییم.

For this is the message, that ye heard from the beginning, that we should loue one another,

۱۲ 12 نه مثل قائن که از آن شریر بود و برادر خود را کشت؛ و ازچه سبب او را کشت؟ از این سبب که اعمال خودش قبیح بود و اعمال برادرش نیکو.

Not as Cain which was of that wicked one, and slewe his brother: and wherefore slewe he him? because his owne workes were euill, and his brothers good.

۱۳ 13 ‌ای برادران من، تعجب مکنید اگر دنیا از شما نفرت گیرد.

Marueile not, my brethren, though this world hate you.

۱۴ 14 ما می‌دانیم که از موت گذشته، داخل حیات گشته‌ایم از اینکه برادران را محبت می نماییم. هرکه برادر خود را محبت نمی نمایددر موت ساکن است.

We know that we are translated from death vnto life, because we loue the brethren: he that loueth not his brother, abideth in death.

۱۵ 15 هر‌که از برادر خود نفرت نماید، قاتل است و می‌دانید که هیچ قاتل حیات جاودانی در خود ثابت ندارد. (aiōnios g166)

Whosoeuer hateth his brother, is a manslayer: and ye know that no manslayer hath eternall life abiding in him. (aiōnios g166)

۱۶ 16 از این امر محبت را دانسته‌ایم که او جان خود را در راه ما نهاد و ما باید جان خود را در راه برادران بنهیم.

Hereby haue we perceiued loue, that he layde downe his life for vs: therefore we ought also to lay downe our liues for the brethren.

۱۷ 17 لکن کسی‌که معیشت دنیوی دارد و برادر خود را محتاج بیند و رحمت خود رااز او باز‌دارد، چگونه محبت خدا در او ساکن است؟

And whosoeuer hath this worlds good, and seeth his brother haue neede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in him?

۱۸ 18 ‌ای فرزندان، محبت را به‌جا آریم نه درکلام و زبان بلکه در عمل و راستی.

My litle children, let vs not loue in worde, neither in tongue onely, but in deede and in trueth.

۱۹ 19 و از این خواهیم دانست که از حق هستیم و دلهای خود رادر حضور او مطمئن خواهیم ساخت،

For thereby we know that we are of the trueth, and shall before him assure our hearts.

۲۰ 20 یعنی درهرچه دل ما، ما را مذمت می‌کند، زیرا خدا از دل ما بزرگتر است و هرچیز را می‌داند.

For if our heart condemne vs, God is greater then our heart, and knoweth all things.

۲۱ 21 ‌ای حبیبان، هرگاه دل ما ما را مذمت نکند، در حضور خدا اعتماد داریم.

Beloued, if our heart condemne vs not, then haue we boldnes toward God.

۲۲ 22 و هرچه سوآل کنیم، از او می‌پاییم، از آنجهت که احکام او رانگاه می‌داریم و به آنچه پسندیده اوست، عمل می‌نماییم. و این است حکم او که به اسم پسر اوعیسی مسیح ایمان آوریم و یکدیگر را محبت نماییم، چنانکه به ما امر فرمود.

And whatsoeuer we aske we receiue of him, because we keepe his commandements, and do those things which are pleasing in his sight.

۲۳ 23

This is then his commandement, That we beleeue in the Name of his Sonne Iesus Christ, and loue one another as hee gaue commandement.

۲۴ 24 و هرکه احکام او را نگاه دارد، در او ساکن است و او در وی؛ و ازاین می‌شناسیم که در ما ساکن است، یعنی از آن روح که به ما داده است.

For hee that keepeth his commandements, dwelleth in him, and he in him: and hereby we knowe that hee abideth in vs, euen by that Spirit which he hath giuen vs.
