୧ ତିମତି 4
1 ପୁଇପୁୟା ଜିବୁନ୍ ପୁଟ୍ତେ ଇଞ୍ଜିନାତା, ପାଚେନି କାଡ଼୍ଦ ଇନେ ଇନେର୍ ବାନ୍ୟାମାନ୍ ମିଚ୍ୱା ଲଗାଙ୍ଗ୍ କୁଟ୍କିନିତାକେ, ଚାକ୍ରାୟ୍ ଜିବୁନିଂ କାଜିଂ ଆରି ପୁଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ ହିକ୍ୟା କାଜିଂ ମାନ୍ କିଜ଼ି ପାର୍ତି ପିହ୍ନାର୍;
[God’s] Spirit has clearly told us that in later times some people will stop believing the [teaching] that [all of us] believe. Instead, they will listen to [evil] spirits who deceive [people. They will also believe the false] doctrines/teachings that [they receive from] these evil spirits.
2 ଇୱାର୍ କେତ୍ଜାଣ୍ ଚାକ୍ରାୟ୍ ଆରି କୁଟ୍ ଆନାର୍ ହେୱାର୍ ଚିନ୍ତା ସାକ୍ତିତ ହାତାକାର୍ ।
The people who teach those false doctrines/teachings are liars! And they do not feel at all guilty [MET] [when they teach such teachings]!
3 ହେ ମିଚ୍ୱାର୍ ବିବାଆନାକା ମୁନା କିତାର୍, ଆରେ ବାରବିନି କାଦି କାଜିଂ ବିନେ ମାଞ୍ଜେଙ୍ଗ୍ ହିକ୍ୟା ହିନାର୍ । ପାର୍ତିନିକାନ୍ ଆରି ହାତ୍ପା ପୁନ୍ଞ୍ଜି ମାନି ମାନାୟାର୍ ହୁଦାଂ ଦନ୍ୟବାଦ୍ ହୁକେ ଚିଞ୍ଜେଙ୍ଗ୍ କାଜିଂ ଇସ୍ୱର୍ ଇ ସବୁ ତ ଉବ୍ଜାଣ୍ କିତାନ୍ନା ।
[For example], they forbid [believers] to marry [because they say that it makes us unacceptable to God]. They also [command] that people abstain from [eating certain] foods. But God created such foods in order that we can eat them! We who believe [in Christ] know the true [teaching], and we thank [God for the food that he gives us. That is why we] can eat it.
4 ଇନେକିଦେଂକି ଇସ୍ୱର୍ତି ସବୁ ଉବ୍ଜାଣ୍ ଦିନିସ୍ ହାର୍ଦାକା, ଆରେ ଜୱାର୍ ହୁକେ ଅତିସ୍ ଇମ୍ଣି ବିସ୍ରେ ଇଟ୍ୟା ଆଉତ୍,
[We can eat all kinds of food] because God has created all [food], and it is all good. We should not refuse to eat certain kinds of food if we thank [God for it] when we eat it.
5 ଲାଗିଂ ଇସ୍ୱର୍ତି କାତା ଆରି ପାର୍ତାନା ହୁଦାଂ ହେଦାଂ ପୁଇପୁୟା କିୟାଆନାତ୍ ।
It is acceptable [to God] because God [long ago] said [that all things that he made are good], and because we pray that God will bless it.
6 ଇ ସବୁ ବିସ୍ରେ ଏପେଙ୍ଗ୍ ଟଣ୍ଡାରିଙ୍ଗ୍ ଆରି ତଣ୍ଦେକାଂ ହିକ୍ୟା ହିତିସ୍ କ୍ରିସ୍ଟ ଜିସୁତି ରୱାନ୍ ହାର୍ଦି ହେବା କିନାକାନ୍ ଆନାନ୍, ଆରେ ଏପେଙ୍ଗ୍ ଇମ୍ଣି ପାର୍ତି ଆରି ହାର୍ଦି ହିକ୍ୟାତ ଦାସ୍ତି ୱାତାଦେର୍ଣ୍ଣା, ହେ ବଚନ୍ ହୁଦାଂ ସାକ୍ତି ଆନାତ୍;
When you teach these things to your fellow believers, you will be showing that you, [whom] Christ Jesus [appointed], serve them well. You will have become strong [spiritually] (by holding fast/by obeying) the true message that [we all] believe.
7 ଇସ୍ୱର୍ତିଂ ଅଦାର୍ମି ଅପ୍ମାନ୍ କିଜ଼ି ମାନି ମଲ୍ହିଲ୍ୱି କାତାଂ ପିସ୍ତି, ଦାରୁମ୍ ଜିବୁନ୍ତିଂ ବାଡ଼୍କାସ୍ କିଦେଙ୍ଗ୍ ଅବ୍ୟାସ୍ କିୟାଟ୍ ।
You must completely reject godless, silly/foolish stories [from your ancestors that old people tell]. Keep training yourself so that you have more (godly behavior/behavior that pleases God).
8 ଇନେକିଦେଂକି ଗାଗାଡ଼୍ନି କ୍ରାସ୍ଜ଼ି ଅଲପ୍ ବିସ୍ରେ ଲାବ୍ଆଦ୍ନାତ୍, ମାତର୍ ଇସ୍ୱର୍ତି ହେବାତ ଇ କାଡ଼୍ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ ଆରି ପାଚେକାଡ଼୍ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ ପାର୍ମାଣ୍ କିୟା ଆଜ଼ି ୱିଜ଼ୁ ବିସ୍ରେ ଜିବୁନ୍ ଲାବ୍ଆଦ୍ନାତ୍ ।
[Some people say], “It helps us in some ways if we exercise our bodies.” But [I say that] people benefit very much if they live (in a godly way/in a way that pleases God), because [if people live in a godly way, that] will benefit them both while they live now and when they live in the future life [in heaven].
9 ଇ ବେରଣ୍ ପାର୍ତି ଆରି ସବୁତାକେ ଇଟ୍ୟାନିଜଗ୍;
Those are words that are absolutely true, and everybody should believe them!
10 ଇଦାଂ କାଜିଂ ତ ଆସେଙ୍ଗ୍ କାମାୟ୍ ଆରି ମାନ୍ଦ୍ୟାନ୍ କିଜ଼ି କସ୍ଟ କିନାସା, ଇନେକିଦେଂକି ଇମ୍ଣି ଜିତି ଇସ୍ୱର୍ ୱିଜ଼ୁ ମାନାୟ୍ତିଂ ଇଚିସ୍ ପାର୍ତି କିନାକାରିଂ ମୁକ୍ତି କିନାକାନ୍ତି ହେୱାନ୍ତି ତାକେ ମା ବାର୍ସି ମାନାତ୍ ।
This is the reason why we work so hard [DOU] [for others], because we confidently expect that God, who is all-powerful, [will do the things that he has promised]. He is the one who [wants to] save all people, [so he protects them]. He certainly [protects us] who believe [in Christ]!
11 ଏପେଙ୍ଗ୍ ଇ ସବୁ ବିସ୍ରେ ବଲ୍ ହିଜ଼ି ହେୱାରିଂ ହିକ୍ୟା ହିୟାଟ୍ ।
Command these things and teach these things.
12 ମି ବେଣ୍ଡିୟା ୱାଡ଼ାଙ୍ଗ୍ ଇନେର୍ ମିଙ୍ଗେଙ୍ଗ୍ ପଲ୍ୟା ଇଞ୍ଜ୍ମେର୍, ମାତର୍ କାତାତ, ବେବାର୍ତ, ଜିଉନନିତ, ପାର୍ତିତ ଆରି ପୁଇପୁୟାତ ପାର୍ତି କିନାକା ହାର୍ ଉତର୍ମୁଡ଼୍ ଲାକେ ଆଡୁ ।
[Timothy], by the way you conduct your life, show the believers [in your congregation] how they should conduct their lives. Specifically, speak [good things], conduct yourself [well], love [people], trust [God], and be pure in every way. If you do all that, no one will [have any reason] (to belittle/to treat you disrespectfully) because of your being young.
13 ଆନେଙ୍ଗ୍ ମି ଲାଗାଂ ୱାନି ପାତେକ୍ ସାସ୍ତର୍ନି ପାଟ୍, ବୁଜାୟ୍କିନାକା ଆରି ହିକ୍ୟାହିନିତାକେ ମାନ୍ଦ୍ୟାନ୍ କିୟାଟ୍ ।
Until I come, be sure that you read [the Scriptures to the congregation] and that you exhort/urge them [to obey the Scriptures], and teach them.
14 ମଣ୍ଡ୍ଲି ବୁଡ଼ାଲୁର୍ ନେତାର୍ ମିଙ୍ଗେଙ୍ଗ୍ ଇସ୍ୱର୍ତି ୱେନି କିଜ଼ି ନି ଜପି କେଇ ଇଟ୍ନିହିଂ ଏପ୍ ଇମ୍ଣି ମାପ୍ରୁତି ଦାନ୍ ସାକ୍ତି ଲାବ୍ କିଜ଼ି ମାଚାଦେର୍, ହେଦେଲିଂ ଏଲାମାଟ୍ ।
Do not forget [to use] the [abilities that God] gave to you as a result of [people/us] (prophesying/telling what God revealed to them) [about you], and as a result of the elders putting their hands on you [to commission/appoint you to do God’s work].
15 ମି ନିଂନାକା ଇନେସ୍କି ୱିଜ଼ାର୍ ତାକେ ହନାତ୍, ଇଦାଂ କାଜିଂ ଇ ସବୁ ବିସ୍ରେ ମାନ୍ତ ଇଟାଟ୍, ହେ ୱିଜ଼ୁ ତାକେ ଦିଆନ୍ ଆଡୁ ।
Do these things [that I have told] you to do! (Concentrate on them/Do them [sincerely and] wholeheartedly) in order that everyone may see that you are improving [in how you do them].
16 ଜାର୍ ବିସ୍ରେ ଆରି ଜାର୍ ହିକ୍ୟା ବିସ୍ରେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ୍ ଆଡୁ, ଇ ସବୁ ବିସ୍ରେ ଲାଗିସ୍ ମାନାଟ୍, ଇନେକିଦେଂକି ହେଦାଂ କିତିସ୍ ଏପେଙ୍ଗ୍ ଜାର୍ ମୁକ୍ତି ଆଦେଂ ଆରି ମି ୱେନାକାର୍ତି ମୁକ୍ଡ଼ାୟ୍ କିଦେଙ୍ଗ୍ ପା ଆଡ୍ନାଦେର୍ ।
Be careful that you [conduct] yourself well. By continuing to do that, you will save yourself. And if you continue [to teach the good] doctrine/teaching, the result of your teaching will be that [God] will save the people who listen to you.
