ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 85

1 ੧ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ: ਕੋਰਹ ਵੰਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੀ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਮੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

Yahweh, you have been kind to [us people who live in] this land; you have enabled [us] Israeli people to become prosperous again.

2 ੨ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਲਹ।

You forgave [us], your people, for the sins that we had committed; you pardoned [us] for all our sins [DOU].

3 ੩ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੋਪ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਲਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜਿਆ ਹੈਂ।

You stopped being angry [with us] and turned away from severely punishing [us].

4 ੪ ਹੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸਾਡੀ ਵੱਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੋਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ!

Now, God, the one who saves/rescues us, (restore us/make us prosperous again) and stop being angry with us!

5 ੫ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਤੋੜੀ ਸਾਥੋਂ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਓਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੇਂਗਾ?

(Will you continue to be angry with us forever?/Please do not continue to be angry with us forever.) [DOU, RHQ]

6 ੬ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਵਾਲੇਂਗਾ, ਕਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਵੇ?

Please enable us [RHQ] to prosper again in order that [we], your people, will rejoice about what you [have done for us].

7 ੭ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੀ ਦਯਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਖਸ਼!।

Yahweh, by rescuing us [from our troubles/difficulties], show us that you faithfully love us.

8 ੮ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣ ਲਵਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੀ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਕਿ ਓਹ ਫੇਰ ਮੂਰਖਤਾਈ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਮੁੜਨ।

I want to listen to what Yahweh [our] God says, because he promises/says that he will enable [us], his people, to live peacefully, if we do not return to doing foolish things.

9 ੯ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵੱਸੇ!

He is surely ready to save/rescue those who revere him, in order that [his] glory/splendor will be seen in our land.

10 ੧੦ ਦਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਆਪੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ ਗਈਆਂ, ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਏ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੰਮਿਆ ਹੈ।

[When that happens], he will both faithfully love us and faithfully [do for us what he promised to do] [PRS]; and we will act/behave righteously, and he will give us peace, which will be like a kiss that he gives us.

11 ੧੧ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਮ ਝਾਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

Here on earth, we will (be loyal to/continually believe in) God, and from heaven, God will act justly/fairly [toward us].

12 ੧੨ ਫੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤਮ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਪਜ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ।

Yes, Yahweh will do good things [for us], and there will be great harvests in our land.

13 ੧੩ ਧਰਮ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਚੱਲੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਖੁਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਰਸਤਾ ਬਣਾਵੇਗਾ।

[Yahweh always acts] righteously [PRS, MET]; he acts righteously wherever he goes.
