ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 8

1 ੧ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ: ਗਿਤੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਕਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੇਜ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।

TO THE OVERSEER. ON THE GITTITH. A PSALM OF DAVID. YHWH, our Lord, How majestic [is] Your Name in all the earth, Who have set Your splendor on the heavens!

2 ੨ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਚੁੰਘਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਵਾਈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵੈਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰਾ ਦੇਵੇ

From the mouths of infants and sucklings You have founded strength, Because of Your adversaries, To still an enemy and a self-avenger.

3 ੩ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਸਤਕਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾਲੇ ਚੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ,

For I see Your heavens, a work of Your fingers, [The] moon and stars that You established.

4 ੪ ਤਾਂ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਕੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਾਇਆ ਕੀ, ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁੱਧ ਲਵੇਂ?

What [is] man that You remember him? The son of man that You inspect him?

5 ੫ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਘੱਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਰ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਟ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ!

You make him a little lower than the gods [[or God]], And surround him with glory and majesty.

6 ੬ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਸਤਕਾਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ,

You cause him to rule Over the works of Your hands, You have placed all under his feet.

7 ੭ ਸਾਰੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਗ, ਸਗੋਂ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ,

Sheep and oxen, all of them, And also beasts of the field,

8 ੮ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Bird of the heavens, and fish of the sea, Passing through the paths of the seas!

9 ੯ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਕਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਹੈ!

YHWH, our Lord, How majestic [is] Your Name in all the earth!
