ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 55
1 ੧ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਤਾਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਮਸ਼ਕੀਲ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੰਨ ਲਗਾ, ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਲੁਕਾ,
To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments: an instruction. Of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2 ੨ ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ! ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਚੈਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਹੂੰਗਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
Attend unto me, and answer me: I wander about in my plaint, and I moan aloud,
3 ੩ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਦੇ ਦਬਾਓ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਵਧਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Because of the voice of the enemy; because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in anger they persecute me.
My heart is writhing within me, and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
Fear and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away, and be at rest;
Behold, I would flee afar off, I would lodge in the wilderness; (Selah)
I would hasten my escape from the stormy wind, from the tempest.
9 ੯ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਗਲ ਲੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੀਭਾਂ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਦੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰ ਅਤੇ ਝਗੜਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ!
Swallow [them] up, Lord; divide their tongue: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof; and iniquity and mischief are in the midst of it.
Perversities are in the midst thereof; and oppression and deceit depart not from its streets.
12 ੧੨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਲਜ਼ਾਮ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਹਿ ਲੈਂਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਫੁੱਲਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਲੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ,
For it is not an enemy that hath reproached me — then could I have borne it; neither is it he that hateth me that hath magnified [himself] against me — then would I have hidden myself from him;
But it was thou, a man mine equal, mine intimate, my familiar friend. ...
14 ੧੪ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿੱਠੀਆਂ-ਮਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ।
We who held sweet intercourse together. To the house of God we walked amid the throng.
15 ੧੫ ਮੌਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਆ ਪਵੇ, ਉਹ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਜੀਅ ਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਣ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਹੈ! (Sheol h7585)
Let death seize upon them, let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is in their dwellings, in their midst. (Sheol h7585)
As for me, unto God will I call; and Jehovah will save me.
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray and moan aloud; and he will hear my voice.
He hath redeemed my soul in peace from the battle against me: for there were many about me.
19 ੧੯ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਆਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਹੈ। ਸਲਹ। ਇਹ ਓਹ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਦਲ-ਬਦਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਭੈਅ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ।
God will hear, and afflict them: he that is seated of old, (Selah) ...because there is no change in them, and they fear not God.
He hath put forth his hands against such as are at peace with him; he hath profaned his covenant.
21 ੨੧ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੱਖਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਚਿਕਨਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੜਾਈ ਸੀ! ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੇਲ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਕੂਲੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਓਹ ਸਨ ਨੰਗੀਆਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ!
Smooth were the milky [words] of his mouth, but his heart was war; his words were softer than oil, yet are they drawn swords.
Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23 ੨੩ ਪਰ ਤੂੰ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਟੋਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਗ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ, ਹਤਿਆਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਪਟੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਧੀ ਉਮਰ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ।
And thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days. But as for me, I will confide in thee.
